The Critical Systems Thinking and its necessity and usability within a commercial company
Pilecký, Jakub ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Antonín (referee)
This thesis deals with the critical systems thinking (CST) and its necessity and usability within a commercial company. Critical systems thinking is defined and explained from different perspectives, first as a specific way of approaching a problem, but as a tool for problem solving as well. The thesis also details the specific skills of critical systems thinking and systems archetypes and identifies some interrelations between CST and a specific commercial company with its needs. The practical part is focused on the process of solving specific problems using critical systems thinking, it also discusses the benefits and limitations and evaluates the overall necessity of CST for a commercial company.
Analysis of enterprise's complex system
Malackanič, Roman ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Berta, Michal (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of a particular soft complex system in the company. This system is a running car service with a determined problem situation. This system and its problem is then evaluated in terms of soft systems methodology, system dynamics and critical systems heuristics. The theoretical section provides concepts to understand the complexity and also individual system approaches. As beneficial of work I consider the practical part, which is aimed to the analysis of complex real-world system using the selected approaches as well as an evaluation of these approaches. Main purpose is to bring comparisons and suggestions for improvement and also a broader view to the system. All of this increases information value of approaches and we are able to deliver more relevant information. Thesis is therefore focused not only to deal with examples from practice but also to extend the selected theories within the system approaches.
The concept of the system state tourism policy Czech Republic with a focus on cultural tourism
Tittelbachová, Šárka ; Patočka, Jiří (advisor) ; Cimler, Petr (referee) ; Drdácký, Miloš (referee)
The focus of the thesis is an issue of system approach to formation and implementation policy of tourism in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on intersectoral cooperation in the field of cultural tourism. The work is divided into eight chapters, the first two are theoretical. The first chapter is devoted to the formulation and definition problem of the scope of the work. The second chapter deals with theoretical foundations and approaches to tourism policy issues both in general and in terms of the status of tourism in the national economy and in relation to the EU tourism policy. Attention is given to the objectives of cohesion policy, culture and tourism in the area of cultural tourism. The following two chapters deal with basic features, analysis and evaluation of policy concepts of tourism in the Czech Republic in the period after 1989. The core of the thesis is concentrated into chapter six, seven and eight. The assumption for the design of complex, dynamic tourism policy for the formation of functional institutional structure of the tourism sector management is to assess the fulfillment of the objectives of the different concepts of state policy. To identification the most important and recurrent problems of tourism policy are used the results of comparison of objectives and measures and practical experience of the author from the creation and evaluation of the conception documents. There is discussed in particular an evaluation framework and in this context there are suggested recommendations for its determination. In the field of cultural tourism is proposed a model of interdepartmental cooperation state-funded organizations CzechTourism and the National Heritage Institute. The proposal model is based on its own research, which is focused on the analysis and evaluation of assumptions monuments administered by the National Heritage Institute to participate in the creation of cultural tourism products. There are utilized data from the author primary survey and as well as secondary data from the National Heritage Institute. The model of cooperation is based on exemplification of the causal relationships between strategic objectives and processes within the strategies of both organizations by the model BSC (Balanced Scorecard) and from a proposal for their implementation using model 7 "S".
Application of system approach to the delivery of data warehouse tool
Šubrt, Radek ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Mixl, Lubomír (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on the application of a system approach, which was configured by the author. Configured approach was used to analyze project of implementation of data warehouse tool. Dynamics of the project delivery system was shown by causal loop diagram and then by system dynamics model. Thesis defined and used terms like system, system complexity, system approach, system approach configuration, causal loop diagram, system dynamics model, system archetype of shifting the burden, data warehouse and its definition against a database definition, project, project organizational structures, methods and their necessity in implementation of information systems projects, feasibility of the information system projects and problems with measurement of project performance. Time-proportional simulation of system dynamics model quantified effects of factors and also quantified different results of project implementation approaches. Based on the analyzed project was provided a brief general recommendations for information systems projects.
System model of organizations management
Černý, Michal ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Dalihod, Martin (referee)
Necessary for the existence of every successful organization is achieving its objectives. In order to achieve these objectives, the organization must be properly managed. In today's rapidly changing times, one of the key areas of managerial work is also use various tools to support management and decisive actions. One of these tools include model development and subsequent implementation of the model simulations. Models provide the ability to experiment with various decisions, and thereby provide a basis for establishing appropriate policies and strategies. And these models properties can be used in the management of organizations. For creation of models exist many different approaches. One of these approaches is systems approach, which is including system dynamics. The task of this text was to establish a framework for the formation of systemic management model any organization that would help managers to improve management of the organization. To achieve this goals is necessary to develope general model of organization elements, describe their possible links and determine methodology of creating a system model of the organization.
System access of setting up an enterprise
Živkov, Martin ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
The work deals with problems of setting up an enterprise and problems connected with it from various views. It is divided into six units. Business plan -- fundamental frame of business construes a target group, business model, targets of the company, work processes and financial plan. Section Analyses attends to analysis of environment in a broad sense of several standpoints, viability of business plan, problems conjoined with lack of time, the unit concludes the phenomenon of luck. Legal form introduces common legal forms than sums up and evaluates each of them. Unit Appurtenances of foundation speaks for itself, Grants either. Company & IT describes modern access to the business and should remove the scales from reader's eyes in the sphere of contemporary information technologies.
Systems Thinking and its Benefits for the Creation and Operation of Information Systems
Slovák, Martin ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to summarize the mthods of systém thinking, and to analyze the benefits of using these methods while developing and using the information system on that basis. Part of the thesis targets is the creation of models for analysis of an organisation, projection and follow-up cration of na IS. The thesis also gives the views of IS use -- there it shows models for human resources and the views of services. The benefits of this thesis is the description of the methods of systém thinking, the application disciplines and their use while creating and using the IS. Other benefit should be the possibility to quicken the IS production and to lower external effects on the process of IS creation. In the domain of IS operation, the possibility of fuction modelling and the possibility of IT department simulation will be shown. In the first part of the work the topics of system thinking is defined -- from its definition to division o the problematics. In the same part there is also shown the impact of worldview and the application desciplines are defined -- such as systém analysis, systém dynamics and systém engineering. In the second part of the thesis, the reader can find the definition and analysis of the IS production -- mostly from the view of organization, for which the IS is designed. In the last part the readers may find the view of systems thinking and its benefits in the area of IS operation -- concretely the model, that shows and decribes the possibility of simulation and follow-up optimisation in the organization.
