Aircraft safety Analysis due to bird strikes

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the problems of bird strikes. It examines significant factors that contribute to the occurrence of these strikes as well as potential damage to the affected aircraft and on the flight itself. The thesis also looks at legislative documents that specify requirements for the bird strike resistance of aircraft structures. Besides this, it gives an overview of current methods that are employed to ensure biological protection of airports with the aim of reducting the risk of bird strikes and pays attention to the effectivness of these methods.

Elektrický ohradník jako nástroj ochrany lesa před škodami divokým prasetem (Sus scrofa)

Studie byla věnována zjišťování využití elektrického ohradníku jako možnosti usměrňování prostorové aktivity prasete divokého a s tím související ochranou před škodami působenými tímto druhem. Výzkum byl proveden v oboře Moravský Krumlov, kde byl vystavěn elektrický ohradník a sledovala se jeho účinnost v usměrňování pohybu divokých prasat. K pořizování dat byly instalovány fotopasti. Z celkového počtu 663 kontaktů divokých prasat s fotopastmi v době, kdy byl spuštěný elektrický proud, jich uvnitř zahrazeného území bylo zaznamenáno 75, což je necelých 12 %. Po analýze získaných záznamů byla vyhodnocena reakce prasat divokých na ohradník. Při podrobnějším rozboru získaných dat bylo zjištěno, že nejčastějších reakcí zasaženého dospělého prasete je úprk od ohradníku (více jak 60 % případů), naopak k proražení ohradníku docházelo jen minimálně. Dále byla zjištěna proměnlivost reakce na ohradník v čase, kdy prasata nejprve ohradník nevnímala, ale s postupem času si začala udržovat odstup.
