Aim of the master's thesis was to create the basic concept of the integral heat exchanger for molten salt cooled reactor design proposed by Terrestrial Energy company. Promex programme was used for model simulations. First chapter focuses on the history and current state of the small modular reactors using fluoride salts. Second chapter concentrates on properties of fluoride salts and construction materials. The last chapter focuses on Promex simulation of HX model, its validation, transformation of counterflow HX to U-Tube HX and visualisation of the HX using CAD Inventor.
