Conceptual design of a heat switch installation into a structure of satellite

This Master thesis focuses on compiling a construction and heat-paths overview of space ships and space vehicles, which are used currently. Based on specific requirements and standards, conceptual designs are developed for the inclusion of a thermal switch into the satellite structure. In these chapters, specific parts are described, which partake on the heat conduction and are important from the construction view for these designed concepts. This Master thesis describes methods of computation of thermal conductivities and distribution of the force of gravity to the points of attachment for individual concepts. At the end, an evaluation and selection of the potential optimal concept is done.

Contribution of space R&D expenditures to the economic growth of the EU

Tato práce zkoumá kvantitativní vztah mezi výdaji na výzkum a vývoj v oblasti vesmíru a hospodářským růstem členských států Evropské unie. Zatím nebyl proveden žádný kvantitativní výzkum kauzálního vztahu těchto dvou proměnných v Evropě. Tento příspěvek se pokouší podat vhodný přehled předchozího výzkumu a najít nejlepší metodu pro zhodnocení výše uvedeného vztahu. Práce prezentuje omezení nacházející se v dostupné akademické literatuře, a také metodologické omezení a dostupná data. Pro analýzu panelových dat je použita metoda Grangerovy kauzality. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují na neexistenci významného kvantitativního vztahu - výdaje do vesmírného výzkumu a vývoje na obyvatele nepůsobí Granger kauzálně na reálný HDP na obyvatele a naopak. Na závěr práce předkládáme doporučení pro evropské a taktéž národní politiky. Výzkumní pracovníci by měli používat jednotná časová období, stejně jako odpovídající typy dat, opatření a metodiku.
