Contribution to modelling of bladed model disk with dry-friction contacts in tie-bosses
Pešek, Luděk ; Šnábl, Pavel ; Šulc, Petr ; Půst, Ladislav ; Bula, Vítězslav
The experimental set-up for studying dynamical behavior of the bladed wheel with pre-stressed dry-friction contacts in tie-bosses was built. The numerical solution of the turbine bladed wheel with tiebosses based on 3D finite element method with surface to surface dry friction contact model is proposed. Comparison of experimental and preliminary numerical results of dynamical behavior and damping estimation of our bladed wheel design yielded a reasonable agreement. Limitation of the non-linear solution due to dry friction contacts is HPC computations and long computation times. The contribution will deal with the achieved results.\n
Extension of backlash based dry friction model in simulink and comparison with dahl and lugre models on simulations of blade triple
Šnábl, Pavel ; Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav
Behaviour of analytical dry friction model based on SIMULINK. Backlash block with Coulomb friction is compared with Dahl model. The Backlash based model is herein extended to contain velocity-dependent friction characteristic and is compared with LuGre model. All models are used on analytical model of blade triple with mistuned blades and vibration attenuations from first resonant mode of this system are compared. Instability of Dahl and LuGre models for large time-step are shown.
Behaviour of extended backlash based dry friction model in Simulink in comparison with Dahl and LuGre models
Šnábl, Pavel ; Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav
Behaviour of analytical dry friction model based on SIMULINK Backlash block which was extended to contain velocity-dependent friction coefficient characteristic is studied. Comparison with the same model but with Coulomb friction characteristic and with Dahl and LuGre models is shown. Different simulation time-step is needed for each model to reach stability when increasing motion amplitude.
Influence of variable stiffness in toothed gears on the internal dynamics of the planetary gearbox
Šulc, Petr ; Pešek, Luděk ; Maturkanič, Dušan
This contribution is continuation of the work of above mentioned authors to whom this paper is dedicated. Their latest work dealt with numerical modelling of dynamics of planetary gearboxes with four satellites on flexible pins. They programmed the gear-box model in SIMULINK and now the model is an object of numerical investigations. This contribution describes the numerical model of the planetary gearbox. The numerical simulations are aimed to study an influence of variable stiffness in toothed gears on the internal dynamics of the planetary gearbox.
Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability in Flow behind the Backward-Facing Step
Uruba, Václav
Flow behind a backward-facing step in a narrow channel is studied experimentally using time-resolved PIV technique in the plane of symmetry in the streamwise direction. Instability of the free shear layer of Kelvin-Helmholtz type is studied using Oscillation Pattern Decomposition (OPD) technique.
Velocity correlations in turbulent boundary layer on smooth and rough surfaces
Uruba, Václav
The spatial velocity correlations within a turbulent boundary layer are evaluated from PIV experiments for two cases, boundary layer on smooth and rough walls respectively. Basic features of the two cases are shown. Typical length-scales and shapes of coherent structures could be estimated form the evaluated correlations.
Colloquium Fluid Dynamics 2012 : Proceedings
Uruba, Václav ; Jonáš, Pavel
The purpose of the Colloquium is to bring together experts on theoretical and experimental fluid mechanics from the academic institutes, universities and other research and development establishments and to offer the opportunity to exchange and update information on the solved problems and to serve as a forum for discussion with leading scientists.
Dynamics of secondary flow in rectangular channel
Uruba, Václav ; Hladík, Ondřej ; Jonáš, Pavel
Secondary flow in straight channel of rectangular cross-section is studied experimentally. Special attention is devoted to dynamics of secondary vortices in channel corner. The stereo time-resolved PIV method is used to acquire time series of the 3-component vector fields in plane perpendicular to the channel axis. The dynamics of the vortical structures is studied using Proper Orthogonal Decomposition method giving the energetic modes.
An Examination of Flow Behaviour Downstream of Vortex Generators at Zero Pressure Gradient by Numerical Simulation
Součková, Natálie ; Uruba, Václav ; Šimurda, David
This research is a part of the project focusing on separation control by means of vortex generators, which started with implementing of the certain VGs configuration based on outcomes of the other authors on a model of NACA 63A421 airfoil with simple deflected flap of 20 degrees.
Identification of vortex structures in dynamicstudio software
Procházka, Pavel P. ; Uruba, Václav
Identification of vortex structures from experimentally gained velocity field is topical problem for last decades. Optimal identification method should detect vortex and its generation, evolution, interaction and decay both in time and in space. Since there is no exact definition of vortex structure, this task for any identification method is very difficult and results are not very often representative.layers characteristics, the mathematical model Abu-Darag was utilized in order to enable the prediction of the main boundary layer integral parameters.
