This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the environment of the company TEFIS s.r.o., active in the logistics industry. It discusses the assessment and suggestions for changes to the company's information system. Given issues contains the theoretical background to the given issues and analyzes that were carried out in the company environment. Based on the analysis, the work actually includes suggestions for solutions for streamlining the information system and an overall summary.

This thesis is focused on analyzying of the information system in comapany Tirad s.r.o. which uses information system Workplan. Theoretical part is focused on problematics of information systems in general, it defines the methods for analysis of information system effectiveness. We are going to use systems Zefis and HOS 8. Based on these methods are discovered weaknesses and are proposed possible solutions for improving of information system effectiveness which leads to increasing of company performance and threads elimination.

The master's thesis describes the theory of information systems and methods of their assessment. The aim of the present work is to apply theoretical knowledge on a real company and to assess the effectiveness of their information system. The results from the analysis were used to create the new information strategy of the company and some changes have been recommended to improve the current state of the IS. Finally, the budget for the applied changes has been drawn and compared with the benefits that arise from the proposed changes.

On the basis of these analyzes, a set of solutions is designed to improve present conditions and eliminate the risks, in terms of stability and effectiveness of the information system.

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the information system of a selected organization and provides suggestions for improvements. It defines the theoretical principles of information systems and a way of managing their effectiveness. This thesis analyzes the current state of the information system and its effectiveness. It assesses this state and, based on the risk analysis, proposes changes aimed at improving the existing state and elimination of revealed risks.

The thesis is focused on a Czech construction company that has been established in the Czech market in the field of steel construction and glass facades. The company belongs among middle-sized construction companies. Its development had a few phases and its progress was influenced by the global financial crisis. The aim of the thesis was to analyse current company’s information system, to find its weaknesses and risks connected with its operation and to suggest precautions leading to overall improvement and elimination of investigated risks. General analyses were elaborated in cooperation with management and employees of the company using questionnaire methods of ZEFIS portal. After discovery of defections and risks in current information system there were precautions leading to elimination of risks and improvement of overall state suggested.

My diploma thesis concerns assessment of the company's information system and the following proposal of amendments. Theoretical part comprises a complex summary of the essential problems related to information systems terminology. In the analytical part, the company is assessed with the analytical methods for detecting the current state. The proposed part of the solution systematically comes out of the analytical part and this section`s main objective is a proposal of innovative information system that will bring higher added value to the company and subsequent economic evaluation of this information system.
