SMV-2012-04: Investigation of optical frequency refences for lasers stabilization in visible spectral range
Lazar, Josef ; Hrabina, Jan
The main aim of this work was oriented towards design and realization of optical frequency references for stabilization of frequency-doubled Nd:YAG lasers with 532 nm wavelength. Research included investigation of absorption references (cells filled with absorption media) technology. The realized cells will serve as references for precise frequency stabilization of laser sources intended for primary metrology of length. Evaluation measurement of realized cells performed by laser induced fluorescence method resulted in reached Stern-Volmer coefficients K0<1 Pa which means the most avaiable purity of absorption media with expected frequency offset of realized laser standard below 1 kHz. Expected reachable relative frequency stability is at level of 3e-14 for integration time of 100 s.
SMV-2013-05: Research of methods for ultra-precise dimensional and angle deviations measurement
Lazar, Josef ; Šarbort, Martin ; Holá, Miroslava ; Hrabina, Jan ; Řeřucha, Jan ; Jedlička, Petr
The work was aimed to research of suitable optical non-contacting measurement methods for angle deviations investigation and controlling with special interest of ultra-high resolution and accurancy. The theoretical part of work included detailed analysis of all of potential methods, financial demands evaluation, reachable accurancy and resolution verification. The work also included mathematical modelling of optical beam positioning uncertainty and practical design of optical setup with optical beams profiles evaluation.
Fabry-Perot displacement interferometry in air
Šmíd, Radek ; Durand, M. ; Wang, Y. ; Lawall, J.
In earlier work, we have demonstrated the use of Fabry-Perot interferometry to measure displacements of up to 50 mm with a fractional accuracy of 4 x 10-10 in vacuum. The initial work was done at a wavelength of 633 nm, and the more recent work was done at 1560 nm. We now seek to extend the approach to displacement measurements in air. A well-known approach to compensate for the refractive index of air without relying on independent measurements of the temperature and pressure is to use two wavelengths. In this work, we supplement our implementation at 1560 nm with an additional laser at 1064 nm in order to control for the dispersion of air.
Active Angular Alignment of Gauge Blocks in Double-Ended Interferometers
Buchta, Zdeněk
This paper presents a method implemented in a system for automatic contactless calibration of gauge blocks designed at ISI ASCR. The system combines low-coherence interferometry and laser interferometry, where the first identifies the gauge block sides position and the second one measures the gauge block length itself. A crucial part of the system is the algorithm for gauge block alignment to the measuring beam which is able to compensate the gauge block lateral and longitudinal tilt up to 0.141 mrad. The algorithm is also important for the gauge block position monitoring during its length measurement.
Influence of technical standards and technical measurements on manufacturing quality
BEUTL, David
At the beginning of the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis the basic principles of quality control are defined. The next part is focused on the quality measurement. In the thesis quality standards ČSN EN ISO are analyzed. A system of a quality management in BENTEX is analyzed in the practical part. In the next part there is an analysis of selected parameters and some suggestions for improvement in the area of quality management. At the end of the thesis there are some proposals and recommendation for the metrology area.
Metrology assurance system of health radiology in Czech republic and possibility of future optimalisation
KOLÁŘOVÁ, Helena
Topic of the work is description of metrological system of Czech Republic with scope on the field of radiology in the health care and comparison of this system and metrological ensure of radiology in Czech Republic with some other chosen states. The states assigned for comparison were chosen so that they include both the countries that are geographically or historically close (Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Germany) and the countries that are geographically and socially rather distant to Czech Republic (USA, Bahrain, Jordan). The work describes the ways of legal regulation of meters, their ensuring and structures of relevant metrological systems. There is also evaluated the influence of regulation degree on the work of a radiology assistant. It turned out that despite of diversities in the structures of the national metrological systems the resultant regulation degree is analogous in most states not regard to the way of its ensuring. The only exception is Arabian countries that however already gradually develop metrological systems and regulation mechanisms following European models and consequently the regulation degree gradually increases there. It follows from the results that, although the small changes in metrological system of Czech Republic are possible above all in the area of the length of validity of verification of individual measuring instruments, the existing system is functional and completely fulfils the demands of health protection of patients and medical personnel and quality of health care and does not create any serious complications or obstructions for the work of a radiology assistant.

Result of Extended Type Tests of the liquid Scintillation Spectrometer TriCarb 3170TR/Sl
Soukup, T. ; Světlík, Ivo
The liquid scintillation spectrometer TriCarb 3170 TR/SL was installed in laboratories of the NPP Temelín for purpose of monitoring of tritium and some other beta emitting radionuclides in the environment. Tritium was chosen as a testing radionuclide. Stability of measurements in case of samples containing higher activities and of strongly quenched samples with relatively small activities of tritium was the main emphasis in these tests. Results of statistical evaluation confirmed high stability and considerable robustness of the measurements performed by the TriCarb 3170 TR/SL.
