Influence of Ambient Temperature Conditions on Course of Solidification of Cement Stone
Kolaja, Filip ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
Bachelor thesis in theoretical part deals with raw material, chemical and mineralogical structure of portland cement. With technology of his production, basics clinker minerals and his hydration. There is indicated also partitioning of cements. In experimental part is observed influence of extremely low and high temperature to the course of hydration of cement stone in compare with reference sample, hydrated at normal temperature conditions.
Thin-layer mortar mixtures
Ďurtová, Aneta ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the development and properties of singlelayer or thin-layer reliefs formed by the partial substitution of binder components of waste materials, Portland cement and lime hydrate. For the proposed mixtures that have been prepared in the laboratory, they have been verified by the standard of prescribed properties.
Possibilities of affecting the portland cement hydration by the addition of fluidized ash
Nehybka, Josef ; Bartoníčková, Eva (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on study of possibilities of influence of hydration of Portland cement with an admixture of fluid ashes. The work deals with the tests with fluid filter ashes and milled fluid bed combustion ashes. Predominantly, a calorimetric measurement is used for study of admixtures. The prepared samples were found out on their mechanical parameters as the tensile bending strength and compressive stress. X-ray powder diffraction was used to determine of phase composition of the raw materials and created samples after hydration.
Study of new types of admixtures for waterproof concrete
Sikorová, Věra ; Másilko, Jiří (referee) ; Kalina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the influence of crystallizing admixture for waterproof concrete. Reference concrete samples and modified concrete samples were prepared with different dosing of the crystallizing admixture, on which the standard test – the depth of penetration of water under pressure was carried out. The rheological properties of fresh concrete were verified by a slump test. The mechanical properties of the hardened concrete were examined by a compressive strength test. The mechanism of effect of the crystallizing admixture has been studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis.
Possibilities of application of fluidized bed combustion solid residues from municipal waste
Melicher, Daniel ; Solný, Tomáš (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the use of solid residues from incineration waste products, especially in the construction industry. The aim of the thesis is to test various modifications of solid residues from incineration waste. These secondary materials were tested in bonding systems based on hydratation of portland cement, gypsum made from chemogypsum, quicklime and alkali-activated systems. The aim was to verify whether solid residues from waste incineration could be used as a component of alternative materials for the construction industry.
Effects of the different grinding technology on the properties of Portland cement
Švéda, Matěj ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis compares impact of various high-energy grinding technologies on crystallographic and granulometric properties of portland cement. It also observes the influence of the conventional and high-speed grinding technology on the resulting physical and mechanical properties of portland cement, depending on the storage time.
Possibilities of utilization of brick-grind-dust in systems based on portland cement
Palovčík, Jakub ; Kalina, Lukáš (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with possibilities of using brick-grind-dust which is a secondary product from manufacturing of grinded bricks. A boom in this method of masonry is connected with an increase of production of these secondary materials. These secondary materials are partly returned to brick manufacturing and partly buried in a landfill site. Due to their composition and origin, these materials are potentially pozzolan active, making them interesting for applications in hydraulic binders. The aim of the work was to study the physical and chemical properties of several brick-grind-dust and brick sands. Subsequently, binders based on these materials and Portland cement were prepared. The properties of the binders were modified by means of adding a commercially available polycarboxylate superplasticizer. The development of mechanical properties of the prepared binders has been studied over time. Hydration of the selected binders was analyzed by isothermal calorimetry.
Reological properties of cement pastes modified by amorphous SiO2
Zimmermann, Štěpán ; Rovnaník, Pavel (referee) ; Vyšvařil, Martin (advisor)
The subject of this thesis are the rheological properties of cement paste with the addition of amorphous silicon dioxide. The basic rheological parameters are that describe the behavior of cement pastes in the fresh state. The work also included rheological tests including measurement principle and method of evaluation. Effect of mineral admixtures with high content of amorphous SiO2 is summarized the available scientific articles. In the experimental part, the effects of impurities with a high content of amorphous SiO2 on the rheological properties of fresh cement paste. It was tested by substitution of up to 10 % by weight of cement in the cement pastes mineral admixtures of different chemical composition, particle size and pozzolanic activity. Flow measurement was measured yield value, viscosity, and flow index. The stability of cement pastes was investigated oscillatory measurements. To complement the behavior pastes in the fresh state was determined by calorimetry. Test results were compared with those determined by reference samples and compared the effect of various ingredients.
Thermodynamic Stability of Ettringite
Křižanová, Lucie ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis deals with the thermodynamic stability of ettringite, which is produced during hydration of yeelimite clinker with alite in the system. The stability was studied in a laboratory environment and in a saturated water steam at low and elevated temperatures.
Behaviour of Ettringite in Different Humidity Conditions at Increased Temperature
Hučínová, Lenka ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the behaviour of ettringite as a highly watery material under varying external environment conditions. It deals with the development of ettringite at increased temperature and in different humidity conditions. Depending on these factors, both the stability of ettringite and its possible conversion to different minerals are monitored.
