The fate of the Roma in Czechoslovakia between 1918 - 1945 from the point of view of the settlement Bohusoudov destruction.

The thesis generally deals with the situation of the Roma on the territory of newly formed Czechoslovakia between 1918 - 1945 on the backgroundof the particular example of the Roma settlement in Bohusoudov. The introductory part concentrates on coming of the Roma ethnicities on our territory and on circumstances of formation of the Roma settlement in Bohusoudov. The following one tries to look closer at the state of Roma population in the Czechoslovakia Republic from the point of view of legal framework, subsistence, criminality, schooling and religion. This view is complemented by circumstances in Bohusoudov. The next chapter concentrates on Roma genocide which took place in forced concentration camps in Hodonín u Kunštátu and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The second part of the thesis contains a survey among contemporary inhabitants of neighbouring villages which tries to find out knowledge of history and life of the perished Roma community in Bohusoudov. The enclosure of the thesis offers a set of preserved texts from Bohusoudov and a nominal list of victims from the settlement.

Project to extend water and sewer in the village Brandýsek

The thesis deals with the project phase of utility services within newly built family homes. Special attention is paid to the construction of sanitary sewers, water mains and rain water management in urban areas in context of the current legislation. The paper is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part focuses on the means and facilities of utility services and on legislation regarding their proposed design and subsequent implementation. The second part concentrates on the construction of particularly selected networks in a specific project. It involves the emerge of new locations within undeveloped areas that closely adjoin the existing community. In this area we find not only a proposed sewerage treatment for wastewater but also water lines for the newly formed 14 building plots. Special attention is paid to the management of rainwater coming from public roads and sidewalks. The construction of the proposed utilities is economically evaluated in the budget costs calculated for building construction. The conclusion of this paper concentrates on the newly formed building plots that have been pre-engineered for connection to the relevant utilities.

Information ethics in small business

This thesis examines information ethical environment of small business. It especially examines the relationship between employer and employees and between company and public. The thesis is focused especially on information ethics that is applied on communication in the Internet and by use of computing techniques. The thesis reveals principles that can affect and form ethical decisions of employer and its employees in contemporary information society. Also the thesis examines opportunities those allow to break the ethical and legal standards.

Studies of contemporary student slang in Banja Luka

My thesis deals with the problems of language situation in Banja Luka and the most of all with the describing of contemporary student slang at University of Banja Luka with focus on Philosophical Faculty. Language behavior of local students is infuenced by the following factors: 1) language factors (standard language, dialect, sociolect, idiolect, foreign language), 2) non-language factors (demographical, economical, social and cultural). During the research stay in Banja Luka slang units were gathered by the means of questionnaire, observation, interview and other sociolinguistical methods. The slang units were sorted according to the determined criteria. There were two levels on which student slang in Banja Luka was being studied: lexical level and functional (communicative) level. This thesis has offered insight into the language situation in the student surroundings of University in Banja Luka in the academical year 2007/08. By this work a certain foundation for possible future research of Banja Luka sociolects is given.

Christian-Muslim Dialogue in Europe

The thesis deals with the topic of Christian-Muslim dialogue in some European countries. The first part gives a theoretical understanding of Christian position towards other faiths and the dialogue with them. The author presents some theological questions and practical topics of Christian-Muslim dialogue, because they directly influence, if the Christian community (Church) starts the dialogue or not. This part also introduces to the immigration process of people from Muslim countries to Europe and presents the results of current sociological surveys, both in relation to their integration and creation of identities, and in relation to changes in Muslim religiosity within European space with the aim to show the variability and inner complexity of the Muslim presence in Europe. By giving an overview of the cooperation of Muslims with European and international institutions in the second part it proves, that the 2001 affairs completely changed their political will for the dialogue with Muslims. By an overview of the cooperation of Muslim groups with European ecumenical organisations and the Roman-Catholic Church it shows the general maturity of the dialogue, but also its limits set by structures and low measure of reflection at the grass-root level.
