Application for secure data storage for mobile devices
Kocáb, Marek ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mácha, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the creation of application for secure data storage for mobile devices. The paper theoretically describes operating system according to users popularity and programming languages. The following section explains AES encryption standard and its principle of data encryption and decryption. In the practical part is created a PINapplication programm. The application allows user to store sensitive data using chosen password. It is possible to save new data or erase current data. These data are encrypted by mentioned AES standard. The application is programmed in Java language with the version for mobile devices (J2ME).
Technology of product machining on CNC machines
Brázda, Jiří ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a technology of production milling of sample component “ending of generator shaft” by CNC milling in environment of small company. At first common aspects of CNC machines, technology of CNC milling and technology of construction are introduced. Possible problems with milling of sample component are analyzed and their possible solutions are presented. Next technology of CNC milling with operating program for CNC lathe (HAAS SL20) and CNC milling machine (HAAS VF3), production of component in small company with necessary documentation in technology procedure are projected. Using of operating systems HAAS, Fanuc and HEIDEHAIN are compared. Using of cutting tools and cutting condition for component milling is projected. Finally timing of operations and financial calculations necessary for small production of sample component is proposed.
Lighting control system using a wireless communication network
Levek, Vladimír ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kuchta, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create and describe the wireless system for lighting control. A part of the work is the creation of modules for switching lighting and the creation of their operating programs. The first chapter briefly describes the way how the lighting control works and contains general requirements for the intelligent home. Further, there is a description of IQRF system, which serves as a wireless platform for the system. Next part of the thesis describes individual modules in terms of hardware and software. One part of the work covers the description of the transmission protocol. The attachment includes a listing of all operating programs for this wireless control system.
Network attacks of Linux operating system
Valčák, Richard ; Janovič, Filip (referee) ; Pelka, Tomáš (advisor)
Main objective of this bachelor thesis is to inform with the most famous security attacks, describe their characteristics, evaluate risk degree and suggest security against of these attacks. The bachelor work presents theoretical and practical part focused on security attacks of Linux operational system. First chapters describe operational system security shell theory. Followed by the most frequent attacks like Buffer overflow, ARP Cache poisoning, SYN flood , Denial of Service, DHCP, which are described theoretically, demonstrated by these examples and possible security assignment against this attacks registered. Basic theoretical system Linux knowledge is necessary for the practical part of the bachelor thesis.
Comparison of Linux and Windows networking performance
Novotný, Radek ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
My Bachelor’s thesis aims to provide a comparison of the performance of servers, i.e. measuring the load of their processors, physical memory, and the whole operating system over network communication using UDP protocol. For this purpose, I developed my own programs. Theoretical part of this work concentrates on the general overview on computer networks and their categorisation according to the ISO OSI and TCP/IP network models. Main differences between network interfaces for both models are provided; the TCP and UDP structures, layers, communication and protocols are explained. The choice was made to measure values for a Linux server with Linux SUSE 10.3 distribution, and a Windows server with Windows server 2003 R2. A program was created so that clients could send data via the UDP protocol on servers. The program is also capable of measuring packet loss which is caused by increased load on the servers from communication itself. It is essential to determine which operating system can eliminate this issue in a better way as this a crucial parameter when selecting a data server. Measurements are comprised in charts comparing load and data loss for a given number of users.
Driver design for custom analog user module in Linux OS
Brejcha, Martin ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
This master's thesis describes how to develop loable kernel module for operating system Linux. Module can be use like driver for concrete hardware device. In this case for telecommunication hardware. The second part of this thesis describes how to implement support for this hardware in Asterisk PBX. Support in Asterisk is realized by channel module. In that channel module are implemented functions for process incoming and dialed calls.
Forms of Enterprise Support in the Civil Engineering
Netušil, Ondřej ; Martin, Polák (referee) ; Hrabincová, Dagmar (advisor)
The intention of my finale bachelor work is to explain and solve different forms of grants for small and medium businesses within building industry. Those grants work as a guarantee for the business to get loans from the bank. Those businesses are obviously carefully pick by the institution. Those establishments have given criteria to avoid the misuse of those grants. The practical part of my work includes the breakdown of one local company and its chances to get the grant.
Security risks of smartphones
Káňová, Eva ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is security and protection of data by using smartphones. The theoretical first part focuses on history of smartphones and introduces the best-known operating systems. The second part describes attacks on mobile phones, their future and the most famous attacks. Another section contains methods, which protect smartphones against attacks. Next part focuses on the comparison of antivirus program, according to specific criteria. The last part contains description of my survey. The goal of this survey is to find an answer to the question, if people care about the protection of data and realize the consequences of no good protection.
iOS platform security
Nidl, Michal ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Luc, Ladislav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on security of operating system iOS from Apple. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter describes iOS and Apple company. The second chapter deals with iOS security architecture in terms of security model and security mechanisms. The third chapter deals with the security of iOS applications and options of their testing. The fourth chapter describes software attacks against iOS in the form of malware and exploitation. The fifth chapter describes the system interferences and methods for their detection. The sixth chapter deals with comparison of iOS security and Android and Windows Phone platform security. In this chapter is introduced the security of competitive platforms in terms of security model, system security, application security and interferences. This comparison includes the table with evaluation of security. Objective of this thesis is to introduce ways of security in one of the most widely used mobile platform. Moreover the aim is to compare iOS security with security of two competitive platforms. The result is an analysis of iOS security and it's comparison with Android and Windows Phone security.
