Design of adaptive wiper of liquids
Novotný, Antonín ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the structural design of the adaptive fluid wiper, which is the complement of laboratory equipment. Laboratory equipment is used to study the thickness of the lubricating layer and the frictional force at contact. The purpose of the adaptive wiper is to remove the maximum amount of liquid from a moving planar disc or to make a uniform film in a rolling path around the periphery of the disc. Among the most controllable features, there are the wiper geometry, the evenly pressing and the follow the disc throwing. The thesis includes the design report, drawings and 3D model.
Lubricants for metal sheet forming
Buchta, Ondřej ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The subject of interest of this bachelor thesis is lubricants for sheet metal forming. The issues of friction are described in the thesis. The thesis presents an overview of the types of lubricants and their properties. An informative survey of selected available lubricants which are suitable for sheet metal.
Condition-based Lubrication System
Kroliczek, Václav ; Nohál, Libor (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
This work provides a review of actual information about condition-based lubrication systems for roller bearings to make longer their durability. The first part describes current types of bearings, their lubrication and adequate lubricants. The second part deals with condition-based lubrication systems.
Contactless sealing
Klimek, Ľubomír ; Galas, Radovan (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this work is factually and comprehensibly process the available information of contactless shaft seal. The introduction deals with clarifying basic concepts, historical development, and dividing the seals in general. Then it details the basic principles, advantages and disadvantages, and application of magnetic and labyrinth seals. The information included in this work can provide a basic overview for readers seeking information about this issue.
Research study of „Tilt pad bearings“ (computational and experimental modelling)
Havlásek, Michal ; Chlud, Michal (referee) ; Malenovský, Eduard (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the computational and experimental modelling of the tilting pad bearings. The computational and experimental modelling is based on solving the lubrication theory provided by English professor Osborn Reynolds, published in 1886. The main part of the thesis is the description of the most widely used computational models, especially TEHD analysis, and the description of the only two experimental devices for the testing of the tilting pad bearings. The thesis is supplemented with the prediction of the development of the computational modelling in the near future.
Shaft seals and stuffing boxes of pumps
Pluskal, Tomáš ; Dobrovolný, Martin (referee) ; Štefan, David (advisor)
Pumps are an integral part of industry, agriculture, but also everyday life. One of the main elements that affect the proper function and reliability of these machines are shaft seals and gaskets. The first part of this work deals with individual types of shaft seals and gaskets, their design, application, function and used materials. In the second part, a suitable seal for the selected pump is dimensioned.
Bearings for space
Vavřík, Petr ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
Currently, space satellites in orbit are required to operate reliably for more than 10 years. This places high demands on the satellite's tribological systems, which must function properly in the hostile space environment for this period. This bachelor thesis deals with the description of suitable bearings and their lubrication for space applications. Lubrication regimes are described at the outset. Then, space factors affecting the proper operation of tribological systems are summarized. The largest part is devoted to the description of the most used bearings and lubricants. The thesis concludes with the design of suitable bearings and their lubrication for the satellite reaction wheel.
Nové trendy v oblasti automobilových motorových olejů
Sobotka, Petr
Bachelor Thesis New Trends in Automotive Engine Oils deals with viscosity and performance classifications of engine oils that are available on our market. There are also mentioned classes of performance classification API and ACEA forpetrol and diesel engines. Furthermore, the company's standards for vehicle manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz are included in thiswork. There are also other standards, which are also mentioned in thiswork. In more detail, this work describes the composition of engine oils and conditionsfor use. The work is also complemented by a sub-chapter of additives that performs a very important function in this sector. Another part of this work is focused on theis sue of storage and handling of engine oils. Last but not least, the trends of oil producers as well as additives manufacturers are mentioned.
Marginal conditions and their influence in the production of reinforced steel fibres in concrete
Loyková, Markéta ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
Constantly increasing demands of customers for the speed of realization of the construction and reduction of all input costs have been reflected in civil engineering by high demand for reinforced steel fibers in concrete. The steel reinforcement has significant role in this composite material. This means that reinforcement (wires) provide the required physicochemical properties to the concrete. It is necessary to pay attention also to the marginal conditions and their influences in the production of wire. In close cooperation with the companies Krampe Harex CZ and Cemex Czech Republic, an analysis of the conditions of the drawing process and subsequent influence of dispersed steel reinforcement on the final product was created. The economic aspects of the production of dispersed steel reinforcement in concrete were also mentioned.
