The objective of this thesis is to analyze the aid programs for small and medium-sized businesses in the Central-Bohemian region, and to suggest a fitting program and it{\crq}s realization
KENDEL, Fabien Gaidoum
The program chosen for the company Havel {--} Podlahove centrum s.r.o. is the program ``Progress{\crq}q, which helps with grants with the purpose of investing into long-term equity. In this case, the grant will help the company to buy a warehouse. The financial analysis had to be done, in order to plan out the project. The financial analysis concludes that with the grant from the EU funds of 1 732 500 CZK, the company must finance the project with another 577 500 CZK from it{\crq}s own sources. Based on the financial analysis, it was found that the company Havel {--} Podlahove Centrum s.r.o. had financial problems in the year of 2006. The main source of this problem was insufficient capacity of the warehouse, which resulted in inability to raise the output capacity. The following years, the situation was improving. The source of improvement was also a bank loan. The company had to rent a warehouse to store it{\crq}s goods. The grant from the EU funds could help the company get the resources necessary, for the construction of the warehouse. This would solve the problems with renting-out the warehouse, and would allow to store a larger quantity of materials. The company could then increase it{\crq}s output. My suggestion is to speed-up the request for the grant from the EU funds, because the situation of the company is not good, based on the financial analysis. If the company didn{\crq}t request the grant, or the request was to be denied, the situation of the company could get a lot worse. Small and medium-sized businesses are a necessary part of the market economy. The small and medium-sized businesses in the Czech Republic in the time period of 2007 - 2013 can utilize the grants from the EU funds, in total of 26 billion EUR. The small and medium-sized business owners should try to get these grants, which will help to improve their businesses, and improve the efficiency of the economy in the regions of the Czech Republic in the future.

The aim of this thesis is to identify opportunities for controled leisure physical activities in children with mental, visual and DEF disability aged 8-15 years in Central and South Bohemia Region. These methods were used: content analysis, questioning method, comparative method and statistical data analysis. It was found that there are more children with disability in the Central Bohemia Region than in South Bohemia Region. There are better conditions for children with visual disability in Central Bohemia Region, which would be expected, given the larger population and better access to Prague. Surprisingly, in schools are better conditions in South Bohemia Region. It can be concluded that the situation for children with mentioned disability is not optimal. ŽEBROVÁ, Ivana
The society faces the challenge of ensuring high-quality, available and economically affordable social and health care for their elderly citizens at a time when, given the demographic trend, the proportion of people aged 65 and more who are dependent on assistance of other people increases and when at the same time public financial resources are limited. The aim of the thesis is to determine what changes occurred in the use of support services for seniors in Central Bohemia Region in connection with Act No. 108/2006 Coll. The research results show that clients of social care services are most often eligible for care allowance in the 1st degree at maximum and use it mostly partially.Seniors most often seek social care services but these are generally focused on individual simple activities and they lack effort to carry out comprehensive assessment of a client´s situation and planning of care. Cooperation of support services with local authorities in the area of Central Bohemia Region might help.
A Selected Risk Behavior a Socially Undesirable Phenomenon by Children at Elementary School
SUCHELOVÁ, Markéta
The thesis deals with selected risk behaviour and socially undesirable phenomena in elementary school children. The data for the thesis were collected in ninth classes of elementary schools in the regions of South Bohemia, Central Bohemia and Ústí. Quantitative research, questioning method, the technique of anonymous questionnaire were used to ascertain the data; preset hypotheses are verified or falsified on the base of evaluation of the questionnaire. The respondents filled out the questionnaires at school, but with exclusion of the authority close to them, in order to obtain as high validity of data as possible. The thesis has a theoretical part describing individual selected phenomena, previous statistics of their incidence and the current period of life of the respondents. The practical part sets goals and describes the actual research and discussion with authors I have drawn from. The goal of the work was to map the incidence and extent of the selected phenomena of pupils of ninth classes of elementary schools. Partial goals were to select the phenomena among the individual regions and to compare the data with implemented prevention. The research shows that the selected phenomena occur in all regions; none of the phenomena is absent in any of the regions. Use of legal, socially tolerated substances, i.e. alcohol and tobacco, is most frequently represented. Each of the selected reasons is more endangered in another form of risk behaviour than the other regions. The Region of South Bohemia appears as the most risky one, with the highest experience of pupils with illegal drugs, both in the number of cases experience and in the frequency of use. The research also shows that the implementation of primary prevention comes late for almost all forms of selected risk behaviour, often only after the pupils have engaged themselves, or shortly before. The results of the thesis can be used in practice, e.g. by instructors of primary prevention, by school methodologists to set up Minimum preventive programs and last but not least for teaching and for the need of other research.
Incidence of Blood-Born and Sexually Transmitted Infectious Diseases with Focus on HBV and HCV in the Central Bohemia Region.
VELEKOVÁ, Petra
Viral hepatitides B and C are among the most widespread and at the same time most serious blood-born and sexually transmitted infectious diseases. The World Health Organisation considers the incidence of both infections to be an epidemic and, according to its estimates, there are 2 billion of people infected by hepatitis B virus and over 170 million of people infected by hepatitis C virus worldwide. Viral hepatitides B and C are diseases infecting the liver frequently becoming chronic and presenting a major factor in hepatocellular carcinoma development. Acute hepatitis C allegedly develops into chronic condition in approximately 85 % of CASE, and around one third of chronic hepatitis C patiens develop cirrhosis and many of them a liver carcinoma. There is a direct correlation between the incidence of acute hepatitis B developing into a chronic condition and possibly leading to cirrhosis or a hepatocellular carcinoma and the patientś age, it is indicated at 90 {--} 95 % in neonates, at 25 {--} 50 % in 1 to 5-year-olds, at 5 {--} 10 % in older children and adults. These diseases also have considerable socioeconomic impacts. Vaccination has been the most effective preventive measure agains viral hepatitis B, so far, no effective vaccine has been found for hepatitis C virus. The fundamental precautions against both types of viral hepatis consist in non-specific prevention related to the means of transmission of infection, namely avoiding contact with blood and other body fluids of any infected person. Both hepatitis B and C are most frequently trasmitted parenterally, by means of sexual intercourse, vertical transmission is less common. Before the introduction of screening tests for blood donors, viral hepatitides B and C were most frequently transferred via blood transfusion. At present, intravenous administration of illicit drugs presents a major risk factor due to sharing needles, syringes and other instruments among users. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes present day knowledge on viral hepatitides B and C. The practical part focuses on the incidence and means of transmission of viral hepatitis B and viral hepatitis C in the Central Bohemia Region within a 10-year period. I also aimed to examine viral hepatitides B and C transmission risks awareness, and safe-sex rules observation among a selected group of the Central Bohemia population.
