Imaging of fluorescence emission signals from healthy and infected leaf tissues

Auto-fluorescence emission of plant tissues can be a powerful reporter on plant biochemistry and physiology since it originates in substances inherent to primary or secondary metabolism. Plant bodies contain a plethora of intrinsic fluorescent compounds emitting practically all wavelengths of visible light. Moreover, the spectrum of fluorescent reporter signals was recently extended by a variety of fluorescent proteins that provide a new tool to mark whole cells or sub-cellular structures, study protein localization and monitor gene expression and molecule interactions. The imaging of such fluorescence signals reveals a possibility to acquire the information from as many as millions of points simultaneously, in vivo and in a non-invasive way thereby preserving integrity of cells and whole organisms. Imaging is particularly suited to visualize heterogeneity such as a localized immune response to invading pathogens. It can be applied both at macro- as well as micro-scales in two and three dimensions. The recent advancement in microscopy, the multi-photon microscopy, has made possible to monitor fluorescence signals, such as NAD(P)H fluorescence from intact leaf interior, that have been hidden to single-photon techniques.

Data mining from switchboard

Nowadays is the system performance of computing systems on such a sufficient level, so there are stored up large databases, but those are useless without using proper software tools. One of those computing systems is as well a central switchboard and its database will be scanned. It consists of hundreds of phone calls, realized throught switchboard, within and without company´s area. The target of following thesis is to discover unapparent relations in the database of central switchboard. And institute those relations into patterns of human relation.

Data analysis and processing to draw up consolidated financial statements of holding company

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the data analysis and processing to draw up consolidated financial statements of holding company. The object of the bachelor thesis is the utilization of the Structured Query Language (SQL) as a tool of extracting data from relational databases. The main aim is to create SQL scripts, which could process data and on the basis of these data create reports, which could subsequently serve as data bases to draw up consolidated financial statements of company XY. The whole thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, the purpose is to provide the summary of the SQL, particularly that part of it which helps to query data. This part is called the statement SELECT. On simple examples the procedure of extracting desired data outputs is explained using this statement. This description of the SQL can be used and applied on relational databases in business practice. This problem is dealt with in the practical part. Here I first describe business database and structure of its tables from which the desired data are extracted. Then I define the data requirements to consolidated financial statements, and in the end I create SQL scripts.

Metodika hodnocení finančních výkazů a návrh aplikace pro jejich zpracování

Jedním ze způsobů, jak přiblížit lidem ekonomické a účetní pojmy, je populární forma spočívající v sestavení žebříčku firem. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem problematiky spojené s jeho tvorbou. Důraz je v práci kladen na problematiku návrhu aplikace, která bude data zpracovávat a vyhodnocovat. Tato problematika tvoří nejpodstatnější část dokumentu a zahrnuje témata volby vhodné metodiky návrhu, výběru technologií, za jejichž použití bude aplikace implementována, diskuzi možných variant přenosu dat mezi externím zdrojem dat a databází aplikace, a samotný návrh. Prioritně je přitom dbáno na jednoduchost procesu zpracování dat a nízkou náročnost ovládání pro uživatele. Úkol návrhu aplikace pro zpracování a vyhodnocení dat je v práci zasazen do širšího kontextu dalších částí, které projekt sestavování žebříčku zahrnuje.
