Air conditioning of the cinema

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to design air-conditioning systems in the selected cinema equipped with a spacious foyer with bar, cinema hall with technical facilities, recording studio and secondary spaces. Systems are designed to meet hygienic, operational and safety requirements and to create an optimal indoor microclimate for people. The air-conditioning systems provide distribution of fresh air and extract of exhaust air, covering the heat loss in winter and heat gains in summer, and in selected spaces also humidification in the winter season. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focused on the basic acoustic quantities and spatial acoustics.

Montane Recreation complex, Wellness & Spa

The topic of this thesis is project and documentation for montane recreative komplex, which is situated in Loučná nad Desnou. The object is located in land-registered area Kouty nad Desnou. In this region is famous ski slope and from the hotel is nice view on this ski slope. The montane hotel respects criteria of protected landscape area Jeseníky. Architectonic plan is designed with respect to mountain scenery. In the hotel are 18 rooms with possibility 9 extra beds for 51 guests. There is a option to visit restaurant all-day. This restaurant is part of the hotel. Recreative zone is situated in north part of the hotel and this zone is devided into two parts. First part, is public and serves for all guests. This zone includes pool with whirpool bath, sauna and steam bath. Second zone is private. This zone provides privacy in massage rooms or in rooms for aromatic bath. The object is devided into four floors. Three floors are overground and one floor is underground. In the second and thirds floors are hotels rooms and rooms for clean-up and employees. First overground floor containes restauration with kitchen, coffee-bar, main hall with reception and all recreation zone, which passes to the second floor. Basement is consists of air handling units, technical rooms and housed mass garages with 21 places. Main entrance to the hotel is from south-eastern side and it is open space which passes to gallery. Type of constructional system is reinforcement framework. It is made of monolithic pillars placed on reinforcement column base with beam PEIKKO DELTABEAM. On this beam are located reinforcement ceilings elements SPIROLL. Fulfil brickwork is SILKA covered by combination of heating EPS with MW, ISOVER TWINNER with 200 millimetre thikness. Design of air conditioning in wellness center

This diploma thesis deals with the design of the air-conditioning unit of the wellness center in Brno and includes experimental measurement of HEPA filters. The thesis is divided into three main parts: the theoretical part, the experimental part and the air-conditioning unit design. The theoretical part of the thesis contains basic introduction to air filters. The experimental part aims to evaluate the pressure loss and the effectiveness of HEPA filters. The last part of the diploma thesis is practically focused on the comparison of three air-conditioning unit of the wellness center.

Indoor environment of pool halls

The diploma thesis deals with the problems of the indoor environment of swimming pool halls. Firstly, it describes issues and principles of designing HVAC system in the areas with high humidity production. Thesis then focuses on various approaches to calculations of evaporation from the water surface and different possibilities of dehumidification including different types of HVAC units. This knowledge was applied to the design of HVAC system for particular assigned building, for which are proposed two different solutions. Thesis includes experimental part, its aim is to analyse one specific critical part of the hall. Based on local surveying and long-term measurements a few possibilities of improvement are suggested.

Airconditioning of intensive care unit

This bachelor´s thesis deals with design of air-conditioning and air-condition systems in the spaces of intensive care unit of infection department and employees department. Proposoal of the systems meets relevant standarts, hygiene and operating requirements. The computational part is focused on total object analysis, heat balance, air flow in relation to increased hygiene requirements and requirements for air heating. The computational part also involves distribution, adjustment of air and other proposals, which are integrated in correctly proposed equipment. The theoretical part is involving heat recovery with heat pump. The project is processed on the level of the project implementing.

Design of an HVAC system in a retrofitted family house

This work is devoted to the design of a microclimate facility in a family house. The first part contains analysis of thermal losses before and after using thermal insulation. Based on this analysis, a heating system is proposed, including the necessary technical calculations for the operation of the system. As a heat source, a condensing boiler is selected. At the next point, the thesis focuses on the calculation of the heat gains in selected rooms in order to design a cooling device. A multisplit system is selected for cooling the rooms. In the next part the thesis deals with the design of forced ventilation of selected rooms. The ventilation system provides the necessary air exchange and covers heat losses through ventilation. At the end of the thesis is outlined the concept of regulation of individual systems and also the requirements for individual professions are described.

Detached house with dental laboratory

This bachelor thesis focuses on drafting and completing documentation of detached house with built-in dental laboratory. The building is set in north developing part of town Moravany. The house can accommodate four to six residents, while the spacious laboratory allows a workplace for up to four dental technicians. The object is designed as a standalone two-storey house with partial basement. You can enter the ground floor thought the main entrance, situated on the north side of the building. There you can also find a parking lot with four parking spaces. House rooms for accommodation are focused in the south-east section and laboratory in the western section of the house. The building use combined construction system. The load-bearing system is made of DURISOL wood-cement skeleton. Materials from HELUZ company were chosen for horizontal constructions, HELUZ MIAKO for the roof system. House cover consists of single-layer flat roof with a waterproofing layer made out of SBS modified asphalt membrane. The project was created using ArchiCAD software in BIM environment. The thesis lays great emphasis on proper layout and architectural solution, structural requirements, and safe use of the building.

Ventilation of the aquapark

Bachelor thesis describes the design of air conditioning for aquapark. The part of the object is divided into three parts: relaxing pool, small pool (children pool) and technical facilities. The main task is to ensure the required exchange of fresh air and exhaust moisture loads from the interior. The swimming pool was further ensure coverage of heat loss in winter and heat gain in the summer. The device is designed to meet all hygienical, operational and functional requirements according to applicable legislation. In the theoretical part, the issues of water evaporation from the water surface. Calculation and design of the proposal addresses the specific design of airconditioning for equipment to operate the pools and technical facilities. Result of this work is the design documentation for these aircondition equipment.

Ventilation of the wellness sports center

This bachelor thesis deals with design of the ventilation in the wellness center. The main objective of this paper is to design three air-conditioning devices to meet all requirements specified in thesis assigment for the indoor microclimate in the subject object. The content is divided into three parts, namely: theory, where the project, measurement techniques and theory, and governing regulations are discussed followed by computations, with the focus on the design of the aforementioned ventilation devices and finally the documentation, containing all the documentation for the ventilation of the wellness center.

Restoring of the ventilation shaft generator

The subject of this work is the repair of an air-handling unit. Possible causes of the problem are analyzed and multiple solutions are proposed. The first variant considers the refurbishment of the damaged component using thermal spray technology, including the choice of the best method. The second solution proposes the manufacture of a new part using machining in the environment of the company. This process requires an intermediate product to be made, and the choice of the correct machines from what the company has available, choice of the right tools and cutting conditions. The technical-economical evaluation compares the the expenses tied with both of the solutions. The chosen repair solution was used for the repair of the air-handling unit.
