Pulsed driver for laser diodes
Pernica, Lukáš ; Křepelka, Pavel (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This semestral thesis describes creation of laser radiation in the semiconductor material, the structure of the laser diode and the possibility of using power laser diodes in pulsed mode with high switching frequencies. In the thesis are described methods of casing of power laser diodes and their cooling possibilities and solutions to their switching, evaluating the pros and cons of these solutions and select the most suitable one for the best completion of all requirements.
A Brief Design of Optical Resonators
Hubík, Daniel ; Nešpor, Dušan (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of split-ring resonators in THz region. Simulations were made by finite elements method and by finite-difference time-domain method. At first we created a resonating structure that works in GHz region. Then we were observing a dependence of movement of resonant frequency on the size of resonator. In the final chapter we assigned frequency dependent values of permitivity to such structure. As the result we simulated working resonator at frequency 500THz. All simulations have been made in program HFSS ANSYS and Lumerical FDTD Solutions.
Computer Library with Clustering Methods
Riša, Martin ; Homoliak, Ivan (referee) ; Košík, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a library with chosen clustering methods, to compare their effectiveness and their properties by testing them on different input data sets. The aim of the testing is to determine efficiency of a method, to determine advantages and disadvantages of a method to cluster general input data or to cluster only data of specific shapes. Stages of development of the library are also documented in the text of this work.
Design and Construction of Device for Skin Optical Capturing
Doleželová, Lenka ; Smolík, Luděk (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with creation and testing of device for biometric liveness detection research facilitation. Initially it was necessary to design and construct a hardware device for acquirement of skin pictures illuminated by a light of specific wavelength. The second part of this work was to design and to develop a software application for processing of the acquired pictures. Subsequently the scannning of group of volunteers was done in order to acquire a sufficient amount of skin pictures for volunteer-profile creating by an implemented software application. Text of this thesis describes a design and construction of all necessary hardware parts, design and implementation of software application and the process and results of testing both hardware and software parts.
Basic Optical Elements 2D Raytracing
Danczi, Dávid ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes analysis, design and implementation of an application, which simulates the method of ray tracing through simple optical elements. Further it examines the issue of computer graphics and description of the Windows API programming interface.
Laser diode driver
Pučálka, Jan ; Látal, Jan (referee) ; Diblík, Jan (advisor)
The thesis describes the function and an energizer fount design for a laser diode. The main aim was to be familiarized with the requirements for the laser diode construction and to realize the equipment which enables an intensive modulation of a radiated cluster accompanied with a dynamics at least 80% of a maximum radiated output. The introduction of the thesis is focused on the issue of the primary features and elementary ideas concerning the matter of the laser. Moreover the types, infiltration application and the essential laser diode wiring are defined. The conclusion of the thesis is concentrated on the energizer fount linkage for the laser diode.
Animated Graphics Model
Mikšaník, Martin ; Kučiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with demonstrations of infrequently used optical phenomena in computer graphics, specifically fluorescence and dispersion of light. The work also proposes a different approach at working with light, material and its rendering. The resulting design is implemented in the attached interactive demonstration program.
Cluster Analysis Module of a Data Mining System
Hlosta, Martin ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a cluster analysis module for currently developing datamining system DataMiner on FIT BUT. So far, the system lacked cluster analysis module. The main objective of the thesis was therefore to extend the system of such a module. Together with me, Pavel Riedl worked on the module. We have created a common part for all the algorithms so that the system can be easily extended to other clustering algorithms. In the second part, I extended the clustering module by adding three density based clustering aglorithms - DBSCAN, OPTICS and DENCLUE. Algorithms have been implemented and appropriate sample data was chosen to verify theirs functionality.
