Compatibility of negative electrode materials at system of lithium-ion battery
Šikuda, Milan ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with a study of lithium-ion batteries. It is focused into negative electrode materials and electrolytes. In this thesis is presented synthesis, electrochemical properties, possibilities to improving negative electrode materials as LTO (Lithium Titanate Oxid) and graphite. These electrode materials were investigated with respect to their compatibility at electrolytes with carbonate solvents, Sulfolane and DMF (DiMethylFormamide) in detail. The main aim of this thesis is to characterize electrode materials and electrolyte properties depending on wide range of temperatures and their comparison for the purpose of achievement of the best solution. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part of thesis describes composition, process of synthesis and analysis of lithium-ion cell. Practical part contains measuring and evaluating of charge-discharge and irreversible capacity characteristics related to variety of environmental temperatures.
Carbon materials for power sources
Tichý, Jiří ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Novák, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work deals with carbon materials and using them in electrochemical energy sources. Object of this work was to prepare carbon materials and investigate their electrical properties. The theoretical part objects of the carbon materials, their properties, application in electrochemical energy sources and measurement methods used in experimental part. Experimental part describes the preparation of the electrodes with various carbon materials and summarizes the results of measurements.
Factors influencing the Character of Phase Transformations in the Fe - C System
Gubán, Ivan ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the study of the factors influencing the character of the phase transformation in the Fe-C system. Focusing on the speed of the cooling of alloys under the consideration and concentration of carbon in the alloy, which influences the form of carbon gelling in the alloys of iron and the resulting structure of the material. Because of the limited range, the thesis does not take into account the influences caused by the presence of the impure and alloying elements. The illustrations of the microstructure of the particular alloys or their schematic illustration. In conclusion, there is included transformation diagrams of the particular steel.
Manufacture and structure of compacted graphite cast iron
Viskupič, Adam ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
This publication conducts a search on the topic of manufacture, structures and the possibilities of producing castings from compacted graphite iron. It contains a description of the mechanical, physical and technological properties of compacted graphite iron. This thesis also reviews the charge materials, melting furnaces, a methods of inoculation and modifying compacted graphite iron.
Fabrication of nanostructures on graphite/graphene layers and measurement its transport properties at room temperature
Hrabovský, Miloš ; Urbánek, Michal (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to fabrication of graphite/graphene layers and measurement of their transport properties. Graphene flakes were deposited by mechanical exfoliation. For contacting graphene flakes was used electron beam lithography and were observed using optical microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The thesis describes the steps for the production, observation and measurement of deposited graphene flakes. Results, problems and solutions of these problems are given in the experimental work.
Carbon Based Materials
Hrazdíra, Matěj ; Čelko, Ladislav (referee) ; Klakurková, Lenka (advisor)
The proposed bachelor thesis deals with carbon based materials. First of all, an overview of its allotropic modifications including newly discovered forms, conditions of their existence and also their basic properties is shown. Further the extraction of carbon materials is briefly introduced. In the next chapters, forms of carbon are classified and particularly described individually with respect to manufacturing technologies and further applications. Individual chapters are dedicated to synthetic carbon and graphite, carbon fibers and carbon fiber reinforced composites. Manufacturing processes of synthetic carbon and graphite, involving possible precursors, are described in detail together with their use in various engineering applications. The following part is dedicated to carbon fibers, in particular to the manufacturing process based on the precursor used including surface treatment and sizing. Additionally the use of virgin carbon fibers is also described. The last part is focused on carbon fiber reinforced composites. Firstly possible distributions of carbon fibers in a matrix are described. Then the technology of manufacturing, properties and use of single composites according to the matrix material are expounded.
Historical development of wooden pencil
SCHWARZOVÁ, Alena Nela
The work "Historical development of wooden pencils" I deal primarily with the history of the development of the wooden pencils, describing the development of production and the world's biggest Czech producers. Also describe the current production technology and raw materials used in the manufacture of graphite and cosmetic pencils and crayons.
Strategic Analysis of KOH-I-NOOR GRAFIT, s.r.o.
Hejduková, Markéta ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Soroka, Stanislav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to elaborate a strategic analysis of the company KOH-I-NOOR Grafit, s.r.o., on this basis set vision and conceive a strategy suggestion. Principal methods of external analysis are PEST analysis and Porter's 5-forces model, in internal analysis are used analysis of internal sources and financial analysis. The next method is SWOT analysis, which sums up and interconnects the most important findings of previous analyses; on this ground is set a strategy of a chosen company and suggest a strategy.
Voltammetric Behavior of the Heterogeneous Graphite Composite
Šebková, Světlana
Graphite composite electrodes offer high chemical inertness, which is accompanied by a wide range of working potentials (the widest range of potentials was obtained using CE30 in borax buffer - almost 4 000 mV). Graphite composite electrodes find the field of application mostly in the work in the area of considerably positive potentials (e.g. oxidation of adenine, guanine, aminonaphtalene, etc.), and they offer unique possibilities analytical measurements.
