The Project Proposal for Building of Research Center

This diploma thesis deals with creating a project proposal of the research center construction according to the required specifications by SEDOX Company Ltd. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge and tools of a project management – analytical tools for evaluating the financial and time project costs, also risk analysis relating to competitiveness and maintaining on top of the market. The third part is devoted to the current situation of the development application market. There is the complete proposal of the research centre construction, using the tools according to the IPMA (International Project Management Association) that were described in the theoretical part. In conclusion I have presented my own solution suggestions, their benefits, project sustainability, return of the investment cost and also long-term prosperity.

The Study of Order Processing Through Enterprise

This thesis focusses on how a specific order is processed in a specific company. The analysis is more specifically focussed on heat meters, which make up a substantial part of the company sales. It contains suggestions on how the company could process these orders using a program called Microsoft Project, which could benefit the company in many respects.

Practical application of project management with using of multiple-criteria decision analysis

This bachelor thesis intends to deal with theoretical and applied aspects of project management. The first, theoretical part will describe the basic principles and methods which are used in the field, as well as the basic theory necessary for a proper understanding of the issues, including the theory of multi-criteria decision analysis. Then functioning of a computer program, Microsoft Project, will by described. It is now a standard tool used in project management and it will be used in the second part, which will deal with applications of project management for the planned opening of a branch of stores with health food and dietary supplements, when our aim will be to compare possible variants of the project and obtain a full picture on time and investment demands of such a project, on the risks associated with it and then get a clear visualization of the timetable of activities as a Gantt chart.

Monetary value of voluntary labour during organization of big sport event

The research problem of this thesis was to hold large-scale sports event and its organization by nonprofessional workers that must be managed. To solve the main problem, we selected two main objectives. Determining monetary value of voluntary labour during organization of big sports event based on method VŠE was the first goal. This objective was fulfilled and determines the value at CZK 118.25. The second goal was to analyse the organization of sports event and it's securing. Using network analysis was able to find the critical path of preparation activities. Gantt diagram allowed carrying out a full analysis of resources, which could be the subject of further research.

Analýza třísek vyráběných pomocí laboratorního mlýnu

This work compares properties (circularity, area, frequency) between commer-cially produced and laboratory produced particles. Also it compares properties of particleboards made of these particles and possibility of use poplar wood for particle boards. Laboratory and commercially produced particles are significantly different in shape and frequency. Laboratory produced poplar particles show higher circularity than spruce particles. The best properties of particleboards had boards from commercial particles, but use of poplar particles as basic material was evaluated really positively.

Definition of rural areas through network analysis

This thesis deals with two issues. At first we define rural areas through network analysis according to the commuting areas of central cities which have over 10.000 inhabitans. On such a limited space we observe the differences between the municipalities on the basis of the economic characteristics of municipalities, especially in terms of budget or funds and their effectiveness of receive and use.

Project management – practical application – the sewerage system construction

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a plan of real-life project of sewerage system construction in Proseč municipality with the assistance of MS Project 2007 programme. The first, theoretical part contains explanation of basic terminology used in project management as well as a description of important analyses utilized in project management. One method of network analysis - Critical Path Method (CPM) - is also mentioned. Last but not at least, the MS Project programme, in which projects can be processed, is introduced. The practical part of the thesis brings us closer to practical issues of sewerage system construction. Some problems will occur during the planning of project, where a specific group of activities is repeated many times. It will be necessary to choose two different planning methods. The resource analysis, term analysis and cost analysis is executed.
