Analysis of possible deplyment of Windows 10 at the University of Economics

This thesis deal with the newest operating system Windows 10 from Microsoft and its possible deployment at the University of Economics. In the first part, it describes a brief history from the very beginning of the Windows operating system to the current version of Windows 8.1. Afterwards, the thesis deals with the introduction of Windows 10, which arrives on the market in the summer of 2015. There are described the most significant updates of Windows 10 in comparison to previous versions. In the Bachelor's thesis is used the only available version, which is accessible under the test community Insider. At the end are analyzed computer assembly, all installed applications at University of Economic and other necessary data.
The development of business intelligence based on Microsoft: comparison of traditional BI and self-service BI

The first aim of this thesis is map the Microsoft development tools for business intelligence systems. This goal devide the tools for develop BI into two groups: tools for traditional BI systems and tools for self-service BI systems. The second aim of this thesis is a critical evaluation of approaches based on the criteria and scenarios focuse on selected business areas. This thesis answers the question if some of the approaches is a better solution for business intelligence systems, or whether one approach is more suitable for business intelligence solutions to some business areas.
Software for visualizing data on a Microsoft platform compared to available open source products

My thesis deals with comparison with Business Intelligence software for data visualization for Microsoft platform to selected open source product. The aim of my thesis is to find visualization software that is suitable for small company and firm can handle visualization by itself. At first there is introduction to issues of Business Intelligence following description of visualization resources of Microsoft platform, specifically Excel, Power View, Power Map and Reporting. Subsequently open source software was chosen that is able to compete with visualization products of Microsoft platform specifically CDE Dashboard from Pentaho platform. There are compared chosen products via proposed scenario and evaluated standards. Finally there are evaluated suitability of individual software for data visualization.

This diploma thesis deals with a question of identification of causality between sentiment on social network Twitter and a price of specific, publicly traded stocks on New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). By a multi criteria analysis were chosen stocks of Microsoft Corporation and Apple Inc. There is constructed a model, which identifies authors messages on Twitter -- tweets and sentiment which they carry in relation to companies. Success of this model is examined by both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The thesis is trying to provide a solution to current and potential investors and management of the companies in order to take better decisions in allocating funds and managing the companies.
Influence of Product Demonstration to the Preferences of the Selected Customer Segment

The presentation examines influence of product demonstration of computer software Microsoft Windows 8.1 and hardware Lenovo Yoga and Nokia Lumia to the preferences of university students in buying new computers, tablets and smartphones. The research was realized in cooperation with companies Microsoft and Lenovo. During research there were 400 respondents. The aim of this thesis is to show, how proper product demonstration can change opinion of potential customers.

The subject of the bachelor thesis "The implementation of a server for communication in a corporate environment" is a general description of server systems, selected products of Microsoft and IBM and an evaluation of their groupware features. Nowadays the new delivery model „software as a service“ is becoming an important IT application delivery model. Graduation theses has the objective to give an overview of available information about this new service, reasons for its origination and at the same time it reflects the effect of IT application delivery model on business processes and relation supplier – customer. Forceful changes in human society within recent thirty years have changed and influenced entrepreneurial environment and have caused changes in IS/ICT environment. Precipitance of changes makes it more complicated to define software as a service quite exactly. That is why the theses describes basic properties of the model and gives the definition of its characteristics. Important objective is the comparison of traditional and new delivery model, too. Practical part of graduation theses carries out research of CRM system offer, supplied by traditional suppliers in model „software as a service“ and compares it with offer of companies supplying exclusively in software as a service model, concretely Salesforce.com. This part of research was carried out with help of interviews with Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and Salesforce employees. Next part of research gives a view and understanding of software as a service model by important IT service suppliers in Czech Republic – companies Ness and Hewlett Packard. The only one Czech supplier of software as a service model in research is the company Elanor Global, s.r.o. In customer part of research the TietoEnator reasons for switching to this model are described. A summary of reasons for model adoption based on world research works is given, too.
The relationship between the EA and selected reference models

This thesis is focused on the competence of Enterprise Architecture, which is discussed in the introductory theoretical part as a comprehensive practice and subsequently in the relation between Enterprise Architecture and a specific aspect that is used in the EA initiatives - the reference models is discussed. In relation to the set objective the basic definitions of Enterprise Architecture are discussed and analyzed in the Chapter 2, and brief look at the description of the architectures along with the key business drivers and benefits of EA is also provided. In the Chapter 3 the content evolution of architectural disciplines is presented, particularly in terms of the scope of EA and maturity in the enterprises. A general analysis of the Enterprise Architecture is completed in the Chapter 4 where is addressed a crucial aspect of Enterprise Architecture - the architectural frameworks. The second part focuses on the key objectives of the thesis related to the reference models. The criterial evaluation system of reference models and the classification scheme for reference models are introduced as the key proposed approaches. In chapter 5.3 is also provided the structural analysis of five selected reference models that are evaluated on the basis of the predefined criteria and classified in the proposed scheme at the end. Both proposed approaches, the criterial evaluation system and the classification scheme for reference models, are in the chapter 5.6 assessed and verified by the subject matter experts in the field of EA.
Developing Applications for Windows Phone "Mango"

The work deals with the development of mobile applications for nearly new operating system Windows Phone 7.5 The work described the history of the operating system. The system will be introduced for developers who want to find out specifics and development opportunities for this operating system. There will also be described components and technology for development. Further work will find a detailed chapter focused on individual development, which describes everything from how to download the necessary software to the publication of the application on MarketPlace. Part of the work will be one full-featured application with access to the Application Portal MarketPlace, which will be discussed in more detail in the work.
The Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility in the example of a selected corporation

The Master's thesis is dedicated to the topic of corporate social responsibility and the responsibility of society in general. In its theoretical part, the thesis describes the background of CSR concepts and guidelines, their practical utilization in the corporate praxis and real impacts on the society. It identifies the key factors for successful socially responsible strategies. It also finds the relationships between responsible attitudes in business and globalization processes and explains the influence of the size of businesses on their own activities in the field of CSR. Simultaneously, it examines the importance of socially responsible attitudes for corporate value. In its practical part, it elaborates a practical project for the Microsoft Corp. in the area of the environmental pillar of CSR and suggests the strategy of its realization. It evaluates pros and cons of the realization of the projects and its potential impacts on the target group of IT users.
