Queue Management in Network Active Elements
Pancák, Matej ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is mainly focused on efficiency of data handling on active network elements and monitoring of transmission speeds in real and testing networks. The purpose of this work is to create and implement algorithm which is able to reorganize list of Mangle rules. The purpose of this optimization is to raise data processing efficiency and decrease communication delay as main QoS parameter. The result of the work is series of measurements in order to confirm the effect of optimizations on the transmission and other parameters.
Impact of aerial platform material on antenna gain
Tobolka, Lukáš ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to recreate some of the most used multicopter configurations within CAD software with varying materials. These models are then imported into ANSYS HFSS to examine the influence of shape and material on the performance of an antenna. Results from these tests could help in the creation of a high-speed (Gb/s) backhaul network in the future. The theory section is about multicopters, their configurations and materials used in their manufacture. Subsequently, it delves into the fundamental theory behind antennas and the description of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor 2016) and antenna simulation software (ANSYS HFSS). The practical section includes: description of the measurement process for the MikroTik wAP 60G AP antenna, the parameters of which were used during the simulation; a model of the antenna (horn) and last but not least the results of the measurements, which are the thesis’ main benefit.
Distributed denial of service filtering based on Mikrotik network devices
Rajj, Jakub ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of denial of service attacks. These types of attacks are still up to date, but are currently being used in their distributed form. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic mechanisms of attacks and the division of attacks. Also there are described the most famous type of attacks. The theoretical part also includes a description of how to respond to these attacks. Four basick methods are described (prevention, detection, identification and response), as well as intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS). The practical part deals with connection of intrusion detection system and router, for detection and filtration on said router.
Implementation and Security of IPv6 Protocol in the Company
Hensl, Jaroslav ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This Master's thesis is focused on the IPv6 protocol implementation in a business environment. The thesis theoretically describes parts of the protocol which are then used in a real environment with respect to maximal compatibility and security. The thesis deals with hardware components, router configuration on FreeBSD OS, and switch configuration with RouterOS. The thesis also proposes how to monitor the network.
ISP Network Optimalization
Čech, Ondřej ; Podermański, Tomáš (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
Bachoelor's thesis is focusing on analysis of network local ISP, detecting actual problems and offering a solution for founded problems. There were problems with broadcast-storm, private address space, RSTP protocol settings and DHCP spoofing. The following changes were introduced: OSPF routing, RSTP override, automatic backup, client separation using DHCP. There has been a reduction in broadcast traffic and associated broadcast-storm.
Network management using Mikrotik
Zavadil, Pavel ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe the tools of evaluation of the state of the network, the description of network components of Lithuanian company Mikrotik and the demonstration of network failure scenarios with its subsequent reconfiguration to maintain communication.

Virtualization on routers
Ráboňová, Jana ; Zvončák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Ilgner, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with router based virtualization in the field of computer networking. The main goal is to present platforms suitable for virtualization and demonstrate practical usage afterwards. There were choosen three virtualization platforms, Mikrotik MetaROUTER, KVM and LXC containers. All of them have been tested for its performance. For MetaROUTER platform has been done modifications to allow deploy the newest version of linux distribution OpenWRT. Further, there were choosen testing scenarios, for which have been shown the possible aplication of virtualization on routers.
Network components monitoring using Munin
Vicen, Šimon ; Krejčí, Jan (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on monitoring systems, particularly on network elements monitoring with emphasis on ways of how we can securely access monitored parameters in work with modules and plugins in Munin environment. Moreover the thesis analyze creating new plugins in Munin enviroment with graphical output of an HTML file.
Quality of services and experience qualify for next generation networks
Vaněk, Jiří ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The thesis sums up the traffic parameters for the evaluation of next-generation access networks. There are mentioned parameters for service quality management and parameters for measuring the quality of experience. The EU regulation on High Speed Internet in the Czech Republic is analyzed. The practical part compares the results between the implementation of the quality management of services and without implementation. Also there is comparing theoretical and practical transmission rates of physical ports. Part of the thesis is a questionnaire focused on the quality of experience of the video sequence.
