Colostomy as a stigma in clients at their productive age and the role of a nurse in co-operation with these clients
GASNÁRKOVÁ, Dagmar
I chose ``Colostomy as a stigma in clients in their productive age and the task of the nurse in cooperation with these clients{\crqq} as the topic of my bachelor thesis for several reasons. On the one hand, I think that colostomy is talked about a lot all the time, but if really want to obtain any literature, very little is available. And a large number of colostomy patients call for more sources of information. And on the other hand, I find this topic close for personal reasons: there are colostomy patients in my own family and among my close friends. Whether they have colostomy after a tumorous disease during Crohn disease, they still suffer from very similar problems that lead to a certain stigmatization that they both consciously and unconsciously bring into their mind. This is why this topic occurred to me. It is necessary to survey what stigma is, colostomy patients{\crq} opinion of stigma and the way nurses view stigma. In my opinion, this is an unusual combination of two problems that are widely discussed, yet neither dealt with nor described in any way. At the present time, which is a time of mass media and stress, an individual person could hardly think that he or she does not know certain aspects of life that a certain percentage of the population meets with, and in many a case does not even know about this question. People think and believe that they are prepared for everything, that they are balanced and can deal with all problems. When, however, a problem touches their health, it is often an aspect that they do not even think about very much and consider it as a natural part of their everyday life, they start to be literally helpless and anxious, and this escalates depending on how large an interference in their health it is. If you say the term stomy, a lot of people hesitate and have no idea what it could be. It is of course no rule but we have to get aware of the thing that a large part of the population deal with this problem. It is therefore important to conduct education and to pay attention to the information of the broad population, while placing emphasis on understanding stomy patients{\crq} everyday troubles. The term stigma, as I have found out to my surprise, is a completely unknown notion. This is despite the fact that stigma and stigmatising factors may occur in a broader range of diseases than the stomy mentioned. The objective of the thesis is then to shed light on the terms of stigma a colostomy. And to find out the most frequent stigmatising factors in this disease and to find a solution to this problem.

The Work deals with the therapeutic effects of music on mental and somatic component of the individual from the historical and contemporary perspective. There are three musical levels, the psychological, therapeutic and alternative one, whereas the work is based on the Western concept of music. The point of departure is knowledge of music psychology on human perception of music and the structure of musical composition. I use the knowledge of music therapy in applying the music elements on mental, physical and spiritual human level. The superstructure is made by alternative views on using music in a therapeutic context. Special space is devoted to combination of music and the brain and the influence of music on development of cognitive component of human personality.
Mental Condition of a Woman During Puerperium and her Adaptation to Motherhood
DIHLOVÁ, Magdalena
Pregnancy, childbirth and the period after childbirth are important stages in the life of a woman and her family. Even healthcare professionals may not realize that mental disorders quite often appear or become worse during pregnancy and the period after childbirth. A woman tends to be tired during the first days following childbirth. People do not usually understand that she may experience different emotions from feeling positive and happy as a result of delivery. Disorders during the period after childbirth include mental disorders affecting the woman during the neonatal period, breastfeeding and until her child is one year old. They may be associated with physiological changes after childbirth or problems related to adaptation to motherhood. Being a mother is quite an important role in the life of a woman: while playing that role, she learns to be in harmony with a new member of her family and assume responsibility for him or her. Biocultural relationships, such as the role of a wife and mother and the structure of the family, obviously play an important part.A quantitative survey was employed to produce the bachelor thesis, using interviews and questionnaires to collect data. The questionnaires were distributed to mothers who had completed their lying in periods in randomly selected gynecologists{\crq} offices in Prague. Each questionnaire contained 34 questions. The poll took place in March. A total of 94 mothers completed the questionnaires, which resulted in a return rate of 71.6%. The objective of the bachelor thesis was to find out about the role played by birth assistants in caring for the mental needs of women during puerperium. That objective was associated with the first assumption, which confirmed that care provided by birth assistants focused on satisfying biological rather than mental needs. The other objective was to determine the amount of information women had about mental changes during puerperium. That objective was accompanied by the second hypothesis that women were informed about mental changes during puerperium. The hypothesis was confirmed. The third objective was to examine how women adapted to their roles as mothers. That objective was tied to the third hypothesis which was concerned with planned parenting. The hypothesis confirmed that women who planned to be mothers accepted their roles as mothers better than those who did not. The fourth assumption, which dealt with a smoother adaptation to being a mother before the age of 30, was not confirmed. The bachelor thesis will help birth assistants caring for mothers in postnatal wards and child nurses and doctors as well as gynecologists whom women see after puerperium. The thesis could be a source of information and used by birth assistants and student birth assistants as an educational material.
Psoriasis as a stigma
SLÁDKOVÁ, Tereza
For elaborating my thesis I have chosen the topic: {\clqq}Psoriasis like stigma``. Taking into consideration that at present the public is interested in a number of diseases I would like more attention is paid to this stigmatized affection. I hold my interest in focusing my thesis on the stigmatization, because I know from clients with psoriasis that they really feel quite a number of problems in certain areas. My thesis is focused on two wholes, namely on theoretical and empirical parts. The first part of the theoretical part deals with problems of psoriasis, its forms, initiating mechanisms, manifestations and methods of treatment of this disease. The second part of the theoretical part deals with stigma, explanation of the concept stigma, what is the attitude of the society towards psoriatics, what is their position in their families, in work etc. In the empirical part my goal was to find out, whether the people with psoriasis are stigmatized and in which areas of life the psoriatics perceive their disease like stigma, whether they feel restricted in partnerships, working relationships and leisure time activities. Within a quantitative survey the data collection technique was applied {--} a questionnaire. The questionnaire was intended for the clients with psoriasis enlisted especially through the direct contact from the server www.lupenka.cz, further relatives, acquaintances and clients of Hospital České Budějovice. Overall 94 questionnaires were distributed. The questionnaire consisted of 34 questions concerning hypotheses. The clients with psoriasis introduced they feel restricted the most within the leisure time activities. In the empirical part I was gratified that the general nurses and physician have a great credit of psoriatics{\crq} awareness of their disease and help them to cope with the disease. I see the greatest problem in lack of information on psoriasis of the public. This disclosure leads to take a think of an improvement of the public awareness of this disease. As a proposal of this problem solution I propound to inform the public more so that the people get to know more information on psoriasis not only from physicians and nurses, but also from patients themselves being afflicted with the disease. The survey results can further serve as grounds for further study of the problems.
Possibilities of managing the situacion when first aid´s crew is attacked
SVITÁKOVÁ, Hana
Abstract Currently media more and more often inform about various attacks, violence, criminal acts or aggression. These are basically types of interpersonal relationships with that we live daily. We may observe such negative aspects of human behaviour even on professional level. That concerns in particular activities of so called assistance jobs. Assistant jobs include but are not limited to services of ambulance providing daily pre-hospitalization emergency health care to patients in acute situations. Number of rescuers who were attacked and injured is increasing. Problematic situation at the place of their response is often not suitably solved by ambulance staff and that makes it difficult to provide good quality care to patients. A quantitative research has been conducted within this Bachelor essay. Data was collected based on responses to questions. The quantitative research has been performed in form of a questionnaire. The subjects of research were ambulance rescuers, response nurses, doctors and ambulance drivers of South Bohemian Ambulance. The research has been performed in April 2008. The Bachelor essay includes two sections, one practical and one theoretical. The purpose of the essay was to map the issue of ambulance crew attacks. The objective has been achieved. The following three hypotheses have been formulated. Hypothesis No. 1: Health rescuers feel to be threatened by patients/clients more than ambulance drivers. This hypothesis has not been confirmed. Hypothesis No. 2: Ambulance doctors feel to be threatened by patients/clients less than health rescuers. This hypothesis has not been confirmed. Hypothesis No. 3: Health rescuers have better self defence skills than nurses working at ambulance. This hypothesis has not been confirmed. Results of the above research are to be published at www.zzsjck.cz. The will form a base for implementation of self defence courses in cooperation with Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemian University in České Budějovice.
COLOURS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON CHILD´S PSYCHE
MAKALOUŠOVÁ, Iva
In my bachelor thesis, which is devoted to the topic Colours and their influence on a child{\crq}s psyche in kindergarten, I concentrate on the problems of the colour influence and I try to develop the basic questions of colour theory and their application in the pedagogical-training programme of a pre-school child. I try to discover the depth of subjective and objective colour perception and their psychological meaning. I research the colour perception and also the choice and preference of colours at child-ren aged three {--} six years. Colours inherently belong to a children{\crq}s world and children love them. That is why my aim concentrates on working with colours more consciously and use them more on the field of psycho diagnostics and psychotherapy, thus in experience. I hope it will be possible to use the results of this thesis in a wide range of pedagogical-training programme at pre-school children
