Simulation of M2M Communication using IEEE 802.15.4
Pecina, Martin ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis „Simulation of M2M communication using IEEE 802.15.4“ focuses on therotical study of M2M devices and deployment of IPv6 protocol to sites of standard IEEE 802.15.4. Practical part is a simulation of 6LoWPAN communication between sensors with central node and followed by forwarding of information to remote database server located in the Internet through LTE site. For simulation there was used simulation tool Network Simulator 3.
Low-power sensor networks
Frank, Jan ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with measuring and optimization of power consumption of nodes in sensor network. It suggests and compares different methods of power saving for sensor network nodes, defines mathematical model of power consumption of node and implements it into Matlab. This work also includes a measure of power consumption of module Zigbit MNZB-900-B0. This module communicates in IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Measurement is used to verify accuracy of mathematical model. This work also presents basics of energy harvesting and development of system, which is using this method.
Mobile robot control system
Jiruška, Jiří ; Kříž, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with wireless mobile robot control. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with design and implementation of communication protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4 providing communication between robot and PC. The topic of the second part is mathematical description of DC motor and rpm controller design.
Universal wireless communication link using ZigBee modules
Kyselý, Tomáš ; Vychodil, Josef (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
The work deals with the transmission of information via wireless ZigBee 802.15.4 standard. It describes the function, method and determination of this technology, the transmission system and security of information between ZigBee devices. It also shows the ability to connect ZigBee module to the computer, configure it for use on the network and comunicating in the network. Finally proposes the simplest diagram and PCB for the application.
Localization in Wireless PAN
Polok, Zbyszek ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of localization in wireless sensor network. First, ZigBit 900 Modules equipped with chip for wireless communication (AT86RF212) are used to measure the signal strength in the area of Brno University of Technology. The recorded values are then processed using trilateration localization techniques and Euclidean propagation methods. After detecting negative effects on the calculation of the position sought, a filtering method for the calculated values is proposed. In addition, an algorithm determining a sufficient number of reference values for loss rate is also designed to locate all the positions sought. By virtue of these algorithms the trilateration localization method is optimized.
Packet Analyser for Wireless Sensor Networks with Ethernet Interface
Leixner, Martin ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Mráz, Ľubomír (advisor)
The aim of this work is study the standard IEEE 802.15.4. Implement a packet analyzer for the frequency band 2.4GHz and sub-gigahertz band. The analyzer will provide accu- rate time stamp to the received packets. It will operate remotely and controlled by a web page. Implemented analyzer will work with the inspection software Wireshark. Finally, evaluate the parameters of the proposed packet analyzer.
Analysis of ZigBee standard in the NS-2 simulation tool
Stračár, Ivan ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Botta, Miroslav (advisor)
The semestral project deals with the simulation of wireless sensor networks based on ZigBee standard in Network Simulator 2. Project is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of a description of standard ZigBee, communication protocols and communication used by this standard. The practical part describes the simulation tool, configuration of wireless networks in this tool, the actual simulation and evaluation of throughput, delay, loss rates and energy consumption using network metrics. Two topologies were simulated defined by the ZigBee standard. It was the STAR and the MESH. Changes were observed in the parameters of the network TCP and UDP transmission in these topologies. Evaluated metrics are calculated for changes in parameters of the framework (BO, SO). The changes were most expressed in the consumption of the energy by the network by the combination BO, SO. During the simulation, the data rate of the network automatically changed until the loss rates of the network was smaller than 1 %. In order to achieve optimal network throughput. Direct difference between TCP and UDP transmission could not be compared because the simulation results were generated by different data rate nevertheless influence of parameters on the properties of super network framework were confirmed.
Pump Control System
Streit, Jakub ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is design of universal system for motor control. This device must be able to control at least 4 motors, stepper motors or DC motors. Wired, or wireless communication, using IEEE 802.15.4, is mandatory. The System is based on modular concept. The Basic modules are Control module, Communication module, Connection module and Power module. The system was tested in the control of fertilizer dosing pumps in the greenhouse
