Vyhodnocení katastrofální povodně v srpnu 2002: Geologické změny v údolních nivách a přilehlém okolí po povodních v srpnu 2002. Část A

Byly zaznamenány geologické a geomorfologické změny údolní nivy, které nastaly v průběhu povodně. Mapování bylo provedeno v údolní nivě Vltavy pod Kralupy nad Vltavou, Dyje pod Znojmem, v soutokové nivě Ohře a Labe v okolí Terezína a údolní nivě Lužnice pod Suchdolem nad Lužnicí. Výsledky přinášejí podklady pro přípravu rajonizace dílčího nebezpečí, které v daném údolí nivy hrozí a případně pro jejich geotechnologické zajištění a případnou prevenci před ním.

The Geomorphology Teaching at Primary Schools

The topic of the thesis is The Geomorphology Teaching at Primary Schools. To be specific, the thesis occupies with the creation of the alternative teaching material for teaching Geomorphology at primary schools with its utilisation in Geography lessons, Geography seminars, hobby groups and as some inspiration and source of information for teachers as well. The thesis results from the Framework Education Programme for Primary Education, respectively from the educational field ,,Human and Nature``, from topical areas ,,Natural picture of the Earth", ,,Environment`` and ,,The Cross-Country Geographical Education, Praxis and Application``. The teaching material is divided into a text part, worksheets and worksheets key. Another part of the thesis is also the analysis and evaluation of Geography textbooks designed for Primary Schools according to defined conditions. The evaluated condition is the quality of elaboration of Geomorphology contents and the structure of the textbooks.

Prehistory and history of human impact on landscape relief: And overview of current directions in the study and the importance of case studies

Humans became an important factor in the development of Holocene relief. They began to significantly influence a plant cover and retention of the landscape with the advent of agriculture. The consequences of deforestation and an economic land use on erosion and accumulation processes are evaluated by comparing case studies from areas of Germany, Czech Republic and Poland. The main erosive processes belong to the end of Eneolithic, Late Bronze Age, the end of the Roman Period, and early Middle Ages in the area of interest. On a microscale, a stronger influence of archaeological situations arisen before the start of the erosion events and a substantial reduction of artefacts stored in situ can be expected.

GPS mapping of geomorphologicaly interesting localities in the Novohradské Mountains

Novohradské Mountains are an unique area, that it has been little searched, not only in term of geomorphology. The aim of this diploma thesis is to map geomorphologicly the most interesting localities by the help of GPS technology. Further on the basis of mapping to create the detailed geomorphologic plans in the application ArcGIS 9.1. and to write a text, that describes single forms of the relief on the chosen localities. There is also brief physical-geographic characteristic of the monitored area. The GPS mapping was in progress in the years 2006 and 2007. This work was particularly supported by grant AVČR KJB 300460501.
