Strategy of company focused on information systems development

My bachelor thesis is focused on the strategy of company, which designs, develops and tests information systems and applications. The main goal of my thesis is analyzing the strategy of such a company, and making a comparison with the related literature. The thesis also concerns the management of IS/ICT projects and compares the theoretical basis with the practical experience. In the preamble, the most interesting facts, mentioned in the related world literature, are elaborated. Then the part, which is marked as The First Part, follows. It includes the analysis of IS/ICT market position of existing IT company. I chose the fields in which is the significant competitive advantage of chosen company. In the second part, three different projects performed by the company, including analyses of success' and losses' critical aspects, are described. In conclusion the results of analyses are compared with the facts mentioned in the literature. The global evaluation is included in this part as well.
Internal Certification Authority

With the rising number of internet users emerged the need for mutual authentication and secure communication. In the open environment of the Internet, this service is provided by a trusted third party using asymetric cryptography. This trusted third party - called Certification Authority - provides identification of the communication partners and the security of their communication through certificates it issues. Many large companies use certification authorities today. The goal of my thesis is the design and implementation of a CA for a small company, along with an evaluation of the benefits of introducing this new technology.
Project and programme manager's certfication as a guarantee of quality and competence

This diploma thesis deals with project management certifications. It focuses on project and program managers and explores their relationship with the certifications and possible links to quality management. The main objective is to make a cross-section area of certificates in the Czech market, create a a summary of available certifications and perform research, which chats certifications of companies carving out on bussines within the Czech ICT market. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is based on the theoretical foundations and was set up as an introduction to project management. Futher are particularly detailed project management competencies like an object of knowledge and skills, that are required to perform manager's work. The second part contains a list of available certificates, including requirements for obtaining. Contribution of this part is just the list created, which concentrates all the important details about particular certificates, including assignment of certificates for the recommended work positions. The last section describes the research implementing, which focuses on finfing out the plans of project and program managery for obtaining new certificates. Research deals with the analysis and synthesis of responses received and creates new knowledge, that reveal possible future trends. Research is unique in dealing with the Czech ICT market, which has not been studied on this topic yet. Diploma thesis presents a comprehensive view at the certifications, but also focuses on a narrow area of the ICT market, where possibilities of certificate usage are observed and confrontation of different views is offered.
New investment products

The bachelor thesis discusses new investment products, focusing mainly on investment certificates. The first part outlines risks and benefits of investment certificates in general; the second part gives a more detailed and specific description of the different types of certificates. The thesis aims to provide a clear account of how investment certificates operate, as compared to underlying assets. The last part of the paper includes analysis of the Czech market together with the outline of potential future development of the rapidly growing segment in the financial market.
Comparison of the legislation of electronic signature in selected countries

Focus of this thesis is to compare legislation of electronic signature in the Czech Republic and in the USA. In first chapter are explained basic terms, such as cryptography, certificate or certification authority. Next two chapters deal with laws concerning electronic communication. In chapter about Czech legislation they are electronic signature law and electronic transactions and authorized document conversion law. Moreover, Czech Republic has to abide EU directive. Chapter about USA legislation consists of ESIGN act and UETA. Following chapter is dedicated to problems caused by imperfect legislation. Last chapter contains evaluation of described legislation.

Principal objective of my thesis is to create Report about review of the usability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system of the management of quality and environment in compliance with ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 and ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005 for the year 2007. The thesis is divided in two parts which contain both theory and Report which rose from the concrete company. The result of my thesis should help to the company to regain the certificate about accomplishment of the requirement of the standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 and ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005.
Electronic signature for emails subscribing

Práce se zabývá využitím elektronického podpisu k podepisování emailových zpráv a to přehlednou a jasnou formou s praktickými příklady. Zahrnuje obecnou charakteristiku elektronického podpisu jako takového, věnuje se kryptografickým základům, aby čtenář věděl, jakými metodami a principy je podpis zajištěn, a konkrétními možnostmi podepisování s důrazem na jednu variantu. Tato podrobněji popsaná varianta je konfrontována s dalšími možnostmi, zejména v oblasti výhod a nedostatků.
Methods for maintaining state information in the HTTP protocol

This bachelor thesis is focusing on HTTP protocol, its features, and technological aspects. The HTTP protocol is stateless so it is necessary to search for methods to keep status information. These methods are cookies, URL query, session id, http authentication, hidden fields in forms, IP address and additional. Every method has its own strong and weak features. Security of these methods influences a final resolution. Ahead of description of the methods, the thesis is concerning cryptography a describing HTTP cookies in detail. The practical section contains an analysis of online banking in Czech Republic and characterization of trends in this brand. Also, an installation of a PHP5, HTTP Apache server, creation and signification of an OpenSSL certificate is in the last chapter and finally, a simple application of online Banking is created.
Použití elektronického podpisu v ČR

Elektronický podpis je metoda zabezpečení a odstranění anonymity při elektronické komunikaci. Práce představuje elektronický podpis se všemi přednostmi i nedostatky, ukazuje jeho možnosti jak při komunikaci mezi přáteli tak zejména při komunikaci s orgány státní správy a soukromými společnostmi. Dala si za cíl poskytnout zájemcům konkrétní návod na získání dat pro tvorbu elektronického podpisu, podpisových i šifrovacích certifikátů, jejich integraci do operačního systému, webového prohlížeče i e-mailového klienta. V závěru navrhuje možné substituty pro placené služby certifikačních autorit jako např. zabezpečení komunikace pomocí OpenSSL, nebo OpenPGP.
Electronic registries

This bachelor thesis deals with questions of electronic registries in the Czech Republic. The fundamental terms that we have to familiarize with to understand rightly all the aspects, which relate to the problem, are described in the first part. Special chapter is dedicated to the electronic signature. The second part is a summary of legislative norms closely associated with electronic administrative actions. In the third and the last part we deal with analysis and comparison of solutions for electronic registries that are offered in the market in the Czech Republic.
