Czech film production companies and its specifics

This Bachelor Thesis deals with Czech film production companies. Firstly, terms such as film production company are defined and secondly, their legal forms are described. After that follow definitions of film genres that production companies can produce. The thesis mainly focuses on ways of financing film production. Several ways of financing film are described. Examples of financing of selected film production companies are demonstrated in the practical part of this work. Finally the assumption stated in the introduction that ways of financing film depend on type of the production is confirmed.

Research was initiated by the National cultural court, Association of crafts, Association of Catholics and Planning board. Questions deal with coal-mining problems, alcoholism and abstinence, also with business enterprises, cancellation of public holidays, introduction of winter time and popularity of foreign cinemas.
