Morality and educating in Jan Kollar sermons
IVANOVÁ, Paulína
The main topic of this thesis is dedicated to morality and education in the sermons of Jan Kollar, the priest in Pest. The main source I use, is his two-volume publication Nedělnj, swátečné i přjležitostne kázně a řeči and his manuscript Česká kázání v letech 1821 1849. His sermons react on the negative condition of the Evangelical church in Pest and it's denationalization, therefore a part of his sermons describes also a nationalistic factor. As well as to the etics, I pay attention to Kollar's vision on freedom and proper functioning church.

Soup for poor children in satirical magazines
Hemelíková, Blanka
The study is concerned with the subject of poor people and charity, in a "disharmonic" line represented primarily by satirical texts in satirical magazines and in other periodical´s humour departments. Satire is employed there to confront the humanitarian ideal with its practical implementation in real life. There is evident the radicalization in the satirical perspective from approximately the 1890s until the outbreak of the First World World. Particular attention is devoted to Jaroslav Hašek and Josef Lada. Their output demonstrates that the antithesis of ideal versus reality came to be newly manifested not in terms of socially targeted satirical criticism, but rather as an implicit trait of an absurd world, involving in the cases of Hašek and Lada their methods of slapstick comedy and motifs of black humour, without an explicit moralizing message.

Social Work as the Consequence of a Christian Attitude
HEJZLAROVÁ, Noemi
This Bachelor´s thesis looks first at the subject of helping the needy in the Holy Scriptures. It presents faith as the base for Christian assistence to the needy. The source of strength for this work is God?s love, which gives worth to every human being. Since God loves man, and proved this love on the cross, man can love both himself and those around him. Through assistence to the needy, the world can have a taste of God?s love. Service to our neighbors is also service to God, who identifies Himself with the needy. The thesis describes helping the needy as an inseparable component of the Church, and as a criterion of true faith. It then compares the approaches of the Baptist Union, the Evangelical Brethren Church, and of the Roman Catholic Church, with regards to helping the needy, based on selected church documents.
