The diploma thesis is focused on linguistic analysis of selected pieces of work from Jiri Voskovec and Jan Werich. Especially, it tries to capture the same and different linguistic construction of the given work. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to functional style of literature . It is followed by the section, which focuses on the authors and basic characteristics of individual dramas. The practical part is divided into several sections: phonetic, morphological , syntactic and lexical. The individual parts are supplemented with concrete examples of the studied texts and they deal with comparing different and identical language means of selected pieces of work. The analysis was performed in dramas Vest Pocket Revue (1927), Kat a blázen (1934) and Robin Zbojník (1932).

Linguistic analysis of German Pericopes in a manuscript of the beginning of 15th century from České Budějovice

The present thesis analyzes the special group of verbs occurring in the German liturgical text that was written down in the Dominican monastery in České Budějovice. The first part provides information on the Dominican monastery in České Budějovice and the manuscript itself. It is followed by the editorial process of the manuscript. The main part focuses on the analysis of these groups of verbs: Präteritopräsentien, Wurzelverben, kontrahierte Verben and a verb wollen and werden. Attention is also paid to the dialect features of the text since the manuscript was affected by the Bavarian dialect as demonstrated and proved by the analysis of the verb forms.

A Linguistic Analysis of a Baroque Text

The topic of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of four baroque writings from the first quarter of the 18th century, with a special focus on verbs, their forms, meanings and usage. The analysed writings are Sláva kostela Vyšehradského by Jan Florián Hammerschmid, the sermons Čtrnácte pomocníků by Colmann Hendl and Kníže Pokoje by František Jan Svoboda and finally the symbolic interpretation of the Plzeň?s history Koráb Noëmový by Adam Kratochvile. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part containing the interpretation of the period language norm based on several grammar books and the practical part. The verbs of the mentioned baroque writing are analysed in the scope of phonetics, morfology, lexicology and syntax. The acquired results are compared with the period theoretical principles contained in grammars. The goal of the bachelor thesis is the general evaluation of verb forms? period usage.

Language and style in the selected novel´s by Zdeněk Jirotka

The aim of my bachelor´s work is the linguistic analysis of the two most successful novels Saturnin (1942) and Muž se psem (1944) by Zdeněk Jirotka. It concetrates mainly on capturing the same and different linguistic construction of the work. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the functional style of art. This is followed by the part which deals with the author and characteristics of the individual books. Practical part is divided into the phonetic side, morphological, syntactic and lexical levels. Each of these are supplemented by practical examples from the novels and deals with comparing different and identical language unit of the books.

A Linguistic Analysis of a Baroque Historical Text

The topic of this diploma thesis is a linguistic analysis of a defined part of the first volume of Jan František Beckovský´s baroque chronicle. The theoretical level approaches the life of the author, it summarizes his works and introduces the chronicle called Poselkyně starých příběhů českých I written in 1700 itself. The analysis deals with the phonological and lexical levels of the chronicle in several thematic wholes. Less attention was paid to the morphological and stylistic levels. The syntactic structure of the chronicle was not analysed there. The thesis aims at discussing the basic phonological features of the high Baroque style language and presenting the vocabulary specifics of a historiographical text.

Charles Baudelaire Translator of Edgar Allan Poe

This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of Ch. Baudelaire?s translations of E. A. Poe?s work. The main aim is to show the similarities of these translations and differences between them. It was achieved by using the methods of comparative analysis of the original and the target texts. The motives which led Baudelaire to choose Poe and his work represent the significant role. Last but not least the author reflects the question of Poe?s influence on the work of Baudelaire. The results of the research were achieved with the help of specialised literature, original English texts and their French translations which constitute the basis of the comparative analysis.

Linguistic analysis of a Baroque Homily

In this diploma thesis I deal with the linguistic analysis of a baroque sermon Jan jménem/ i skutkem pro tejnost svaté spovědi svatý prvomučedlník svatý Jan Nepomucký by priest Jan Birhel. I continues in my bachelor thesis from 2009, in which I devote my attention to phonology and morphology. In this thesis I focus on analysis of the word formation and syntactic level. In the word formation part I analyse nouns, adjectives and verbs. I deal with derivation, composition and process of formation of analyzed expressions. In the syntactic part I analyse basic and developing articles of sentences and I investigate their position and use in the sentence.

The topic of my bachelor project is the language of computer users, who use various options of communication on the Internet. The work is divided into two parts -theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on different modes of communication on the Internet and on the history of works dealing with computer slang. The practical part is focused on linguistic analysis of the terms commonly used in communication on chat and discussion forums.The aim of this work is to make an insight into the Internet communication because this form of communication is in today's world widespread and popular.

Linguistic analysis of baroque text

The main intention of bachelor project is the linguistic analysis of baroque text. The work is devided into two parts {--} theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical one I report on characteristic of baroque period, language and preaching. In the practical one I deal with printing, phonology and morphology. Analysis of baroque text is based on research of formal means which are used by the author in the text. I compare them with means of today´s Czech language. At the same time I try to demonstrate that baroque Czech language was not a degeneracy language.

Linguistic analysis of baroque text

The main intention of this dissertation The linguistic analysis of a baroque text is to present some from charakteristic signs of Czech language of 17th century. I have keeped at disposition a copy of the text Cvičení v dokonalosti a ctnostech křesťanských (The Exercising of Christian perfection and quality). Thist text of Alphons Rodericius was translated by the priest and linguist Jiří Konstanc and printed in 1664. In my work I get some informations about morphology and syntax of the baroque czech language and compare them with the present situation. There are many differences between baroque and present Czech language, for example the ending {--}ův in plural masculines or some forms of possessive adjectives. We can find many differences also by the conjunctions, e.g. anobrž, alebrž, an. In the syntax level we can see an effect of Latin or German. There are many complicated sentences, the verb stands often at the end of a sentence. We can find many other examples. At the end of this work I bring a small dictionary, where I make clear some words, which can make problems. This work doesn´t bring comprehensive informations, there are many other problems in this religious text.
