Narrowband PLC communication for Smart Metering
Kubů, Jiří ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor project is about narrowband PLC communications. The work describes the basic principle, division of PLC communication, history, technology, utilized communication standards and interference affecting the data communication technology. In this work we also performed experimental measurements in real environments with modems from Texas Instruments C2000 and C2000 TMDSPLCKITV4 PLC PLC TMDSPLCKIT-V3. The results of the measurements are real transmission rate. Moreover application was created for remote data collection along with PLC modems C2000 PLC TMDSPLCKIT-V3, the aime was to edit PLC modem firmware and create applications for receiving data from the terminal.
Controlling of programmable analogue circuit
Sobotka, Josef ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Vrba, Kamil (advisor)
This work deals with the design of the control software for the programmable analog circuit adjustable by means of a computer via the serial interface for the computer, as well as for programming the microcontroller. In addition, analyses the internal structure of programmable analog circuit on which it is proposed to further control, design of printed circuit boards for final programming and test equipment and measurement of the basic parameters of the circuit (transmission and phase frequency characteristics of parts and units).
Audiostimulation
Sobotková, Marika ; Walek, Petr (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a device for audio stimulation, which will be used during examination with functional magnetic resonance. The next aim is to familiarize readers with magnetic resonance and stimulation. Whole device is controlled by microcontroller from open-source platform Arduino, model Due. Hardware is based on a non-soldering contact field. There is also draft of printed circuit board. Software is represented by flowcharts. Algorithm is designed and realized in wiring Arduino's library (which belongs to Arduino). Microcontroller is controlled by graphical user interface made by MATLAB.
USB Keylogger
Lojda, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and practical implementation of USB keylogger. The theoretical part is devoted to the USB bus and the description of SD cards. It also describes the selected MCU Vinculum VNC2 and available drivers. The next part analyzes the design and implementation of such device, including the final throughput measurement and identification of the weakest points of the proposed solution. Next part mentions the making of PCB. The thesis includes a CD with full source code, schematic and PCB layout in Eagle, part list and photographs of the finished keylogger.
Embedded Transmitter and Receiver Firmware for Wireless Communication in SRD Band
Vomáčka, Martin ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis analyzes wireless communication in range of unlicensed ISM band. The aim was to design and implement a transmitter and reciever firmware for utilization in minor custom projects. Wireless communication was secured by Aurel modules operating in the 868 MHz SRD band. The transmitter and the receiver are controlled by MSP430 microcontroller mounted on the FITkit laboratory equipment.
Memory System Management for Colibri XScale PXA270 Platform
Mačišák, Lukáš ; Straka, Martin (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This Bachelor's Thesis describes platform Colibri XScale PXA270, analyses potential usage of DMA transfers on this platform and describes principles of work with flash and SDRAM memories. Thesis includes design and implementation of firmware for servicing memory systems on this platform. One part of this thesis is also the description and implementation of tests for semiconductor memories with random access. The demonstrative application is implemented to show usage and functionality of this firmware.
Generic BIOS Update Mechanism for Linux
Mariščák, Igor ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work provides overview of creating of a simple driver for the BIOS flash memory by accessing the physical computer memory. Although, the BIOS is one of a system's core components, there is no standardized update mechanism approach. Purpose of thesis is to create module driver by taking advantage of existing interface subsystem MTD, to suggest and implement driver for one specific device to Linux kernel operating system. Also explains technique allowing write access to registers of the flash memory with utilization of configuration file.
Firmware for Multi-Unit Wireless Sports Timekeeping Device
Gál, David ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This paper describes the design and subsequent implementation of software for multi-unit wireless sports timekeeping device. Used hardware is based on a different thesis and is composed of a control, the primary unit, and end, secondary, units. Both types are equipped with 16-bit PIC24F microcontrollers and wireless communication is catered by RF modules broadcasting in the 868MHz band. The design is aimed primarily at wireless use of secondary units to measure time and to eliminate measurement errors associated with wireless transmission. It also deals with reducing the consumption of units and the use SD cards to store the measured times. Implementation is done in C.
Module for remote access via Ethernet
Pospíšil, Martin ; Šrámek, Petr (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is about creation of control software (firmware) for remote access unit, using ethernet for communication. It implements web interface for control and monitoring of connected device, which requires both digital and analog signals for control. Hardware is based on C8051F120 as main microcontroller and CP2200 as ethernet controller. Thesis briefly describes most important protocols used in this system and examines features of the Silicon Laboratories TCP/IP stack.
Wireless security facility
Gargulák, Lukáš ; Morský, Ondřej (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The content of this thesis is the design, construction and programming of wireless security device. This wireless security system consists of two units. Personal unit and sensor unit. This thesis compares two ISM bands 433 MHz and 868 MHz. The thesis presents a selection of parts for construction wireless security device. The work also deals with the structure of transmitted frames on the link layer. Marginally are discussed ways to reduce consuption AtmelAVR microcontrollers and also two ways of charging Li-Ion battery. It also outlined the firmware of both units. Its complete source code is included on the DVD.
