Parallel numerical simulation of airflow past an oscillating NACA0015 airfoil

This paper focuses on 3D and 2D parallel computation of pressure and velocity fields around an elastically supported airfoil self-oscillating due to interaction with the airflow The results of numerical simulations are compared with data measured in a wind tunnel, where physical model of a NACA0015 airfoil was mounted and tuned to exhibit the flutter instability. The experimental results were obtained previously in the Institute of Thermomechanics by interferometric measurements in a subsonic wind tunnel in Nový Knín. For the numerical solution is implemented in OpenFOAM, an open-source software package based on finite volume method. In the numerical solution is prescribed displacement of the airfoil, which corresponds to the experiment.
CFD trading on the foreign exchange market

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the issue of CFDs, and it particularly focuses on those contracts that are traded in the international foreign exchange market. The introductory part of the thesis characterizes this type of market in detail, both in regard to financial instruments and in regard to its participants and the particular exchange currency pairs. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the actual CFDs, especially their characteristic features, types, advantages, disadvantages, and to comparing them with selected financial instruments. The part specifies the elementary types of trade orders that we, as a CFD trader, can encounter. The final part of the thesis is concerned with an example of entering into a CFD for a particular currency pair as viewed by an individual investor. The primary goal of the thesis is therefore to analyze and evaluate this type of financial derivative; its secondary goal is then to instill a certain idea of how such a contract can be used for real trade in the international foreign exchange market.
Numerical and experimental inverigation of supersonic flow regimes at last stage of large output steam tip turbine cascade

Paper presents some aspect of the numerical and experimental investigation of the validation of the aerodynamic performance of supersonic tip section airfoil cascade. Paper deals with limitations of various investigation methods and tries to show that advances in future development of turbomachinery can be achieved through combination of these methods.
Simulation of flow and dissipation of turbulent kinetic energy in an agitated vessel

Velocity field and distribution of dissipation rate are key parameters for design of mixing apparatuses. In this contribution we compared the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculations with results of mean ensemble-averaged velocities measured by LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometry) and with results of derived dissipation rates where the total dissipation rate was used as control value. The comparison showed that the neither k-ε model (based on isotropic turbulence) nor RSM (Reynolds Stress Model) did not calculate the velocities in regions where the trailing vortices are developed (near impeller blade edges etc.) and in a region of main stream of the impeller where the flow is strongly anisotropic quite accurately. Similar discrepancies were observed for the dissipation rate; moreover the lower values of dissipation rate are also calculated in bulk volume of mixing vessel. Generally, the total dissipation rate results from the CFD calculations are lower then the real values. This is in an agreement with other published results.

This thesis presents market stock trading focused on analysis of financial crisis which falls on world's biggest exchange stocks and strategy of trading for a small investor. In the first part of this thesis will be explained priciples of trading on stock markets with modern trading business platformes. I explain economic conections and economy cycles which influence development of financial markets. In second part of thesis I analyse financial crisis fall on stock markets, indexis, commodities (gold, silver, brend crude oil) and currency markets (forex). I appreciate situation in Czech republik and course of czech index PX. Important role has a fundamental and technical analysis. I will analyse and descript modern trends of this business.
Derivatives in family finances

This thesis focuses on the derivatives market. The goal is to choose ones that are suitable for use for the benefit of family finances and planning. Mapping the world market derivatives, and then describes the basic characteristics of the main types of contracts. After the general characteristics of the derivatives in the introduction, are briefly described two types (forwads and swaps) that are not directly used in the family finances. In their description, however, are pointed out the fundamental principles of derivatives and trading with them. In the next section, the focus is on those derivatives that are suitable for use in household budgets. They include Futures, Options, Warrants, Investment Certificates, Exchange Traded Funds (ETF), Contracts for diference (CFD). There are also discussed basic principles of these instruments, their use and the current bid.
CFD Simulation of Laboratory Scale Airlift Reactor Hydrodynamics

The goal of this work was to test the simulation sensitivity to the prescribed bubble terminal velocity. Simulations were done for three different airlfit configurations (different lenght and diameter of riser tube) for gas superficial velocities 1-7,5cm/s.

Paper deals with an aerodynamic degradation of iced airfoils. There are presented results of the lift coefficient solution in dependence on angle of attack, for NACA 0012 airfoil. Two different ice shapes chosen from available experimental data were tested.
