The first part of the thesis introduces a brief overview of an eighty-year history of heating industry in Brno from the first ideas up to the current state. 	Technological solution of biomass power station with steam engine. Pleban, Jakub ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor) This work describes function and main parts of a heat plant burning biomass. The work is thematically divided into five parts. In the first part there are presented possible sorts of energy which are suitable for generating both electric and heat energy. The second part of the work describes basic principles of the plant functioning. The third part which relates to the second one is focused on the given technologic scheme of the plant. The fourth part closely analyses a function of a steam piston engine and its main components. 	Study of problem solving of IT networks in heating plants in a sphere of activity E.ON CR Plojhar, Vladimír ; Voříšek, Jiří (advisor) ; Přívozník, Ladislav (referee) The main goal of this document is to create a comprehensive IT management summary and technological summary concerning the situation in IT and system coverage of E.ON heating plants in the Czech Republic. Real data were used from the Teplárna Tábor a.s. (TTA) and Teplárna Otrokovice a.s. (TOT) heating plants. The first part of this document contains a description and evaluation of the ICT systems of TTA and TOT, data collection management, coverage of IT support for the systems, creation of application architecture for the individual companies and links between the companies. The second part defines the goals and strategies of the companies as well as an evaluation of performance. Performance was evaluated using Gartner Networking Maturity Model methodology. The third part of the document proposes a possible future situation and outlines specific proposals to increase IT performance and stability while respecting the strategic goals of E.ON, the majority owner.
