Simulation and experimental investigation of the oscillator with soft impacts
Peterka, František ; Kocanda, Lubomír ; Veselý, Jan
The dynamics of oscillators with rigid impacts, based on the Newton elementary theory of impacts, which neglects a time duration of the impact and the velocity of motion is described by coefficient of restitution, is known. New interest of the investigation is directed on the systems with soft impacts, when a time interval of the impact is not zero and it is necessary to choose a proper model of elastic and damping forces appeared during the soft impact [4]. Such approach can explain the behaviour of the oscillator, when it transits from the linear - impactless - motion into motion with rigid impacts.

In this article is described Rheo-optical experiment in steady shear flow under apparent wall-slip conditions.
Guessing games with homogeneous and heterogeneous players: an experimental reconsideration
Kováč, E. ; Vojtek, M. ; Ortmann, Andreas ; Brázdik, F.
We replicate an experiment previously reported by Güth, Kocher and Sutter (2002). Our results are at variance with their results, but confirm their key hypothesis that heterogenous players guess closer to the equilibrium than homogenous players.
Measurement and analysis of vibration and acoustic emission of railway wheel set with and without optimized dampers
Pešek, Luděk ; Veselý, Jan ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
The aim of this work was to propose a method for experimental verification of vibro-acoustic damping elements of the railway wheel-set. There were dealt with 4 solutions of the wheels. For these solutions, the three kinds of dynamic excitation were proposed. The measurement of acousti prressure and acoustic internsity was carried out in selected points of the wheel surounding.
Modal analysis of rubber-damped wheel with and without the damper for SGP Graz
Pešek, Luděk ; Veselý, Jan ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
The aim of this work was to identify experimental eigenfrequencies, eigenmodes and loss factors for rubber-damped railway wheels with and without acoustic damper for SGP Graz. The excitation was realized by an elektrodynamic vibrator with different levels of excitation. The wheel was hung on the flexible rope. The frequency range was up to 6400Hz.
Evaluation of damping for two-component material mixture on the test samples at different temperatures
Pešek, Luděk ; Veselý, Jan ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
The report deals with the experimental evaluation of inner damping of a two-component mixture (NBR and NBR/BR) that is proposed for a damper production. The tests were done on two defined samples for temperature range from -40oC up to 100oC and frequency range up to 7kHz. The method of testing was proposed for the evaluation according to American standards SAE J1637 and ASTM E756-98.
Irrationality in Economics: Microeconomic Effects
Radovanović, Marko ; Sirůček, Pavel (advisor) ; Džbánková, Zuzana (referee)
This bachelor's thesis analyzes the idea of irrationality in economics. In the theoretical part, it focuses on the difference between rationality and its counterpart - irrationality. The thesis introduces theoretical basis of behavioral and experimental economics and using results form different experiments it explores the irrational behavior or economic subjects. Certain conclusions and recommendations are deduced from these results. Effects of irrational behavior, described in the thesis, relate to everyday life, thus the deducted conclusions are useful as in the real world as in scientific research.
Simulační model dispečinku
Korecká, Markéta ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
Práce vystihuje teoretické poznatky z oblasti simulace a teorie hromadné obsluhy.
