The level of knowledge on the issue of nutrition of students in the 2nd grade of elementary school in relation to their daily diet.
KOPUNCOVÁ, Hana
This bachelor thesis: The level of knowledge pertaining to the issue of the nutrition of second grade elementary students in relation to their everyday diet is theoretically defined in the introductory section, defining nutrition related terms. Individual chapters then go on to define the basic aspects and the relevance of good nutrition for the health of young children and young adults. Daily recommended amount, nutrition plans, alternative eating regimes and various nutritional mistakes are all discussed, particularly in the context of abnormal weight gain and other illnesses. The issue of educating young people about correct nutrition is also tackled. The practical component of the thesis describes the results of quantitative research carried out via questionnaire form. The aim of the questionnaire was to find out what relationship young children have towards their nutrition and test their knowledge on the subject. The research sample was aimed at children of 9th grade of elementary school, aged 14-16 in the Znojmo area.

The Development of Local Government in the Statutory City of Olomouc.
Novotný, Miloslav ; Čopík, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with issues of  a local government. The research will focus on the city Olomouc. The goal will be to characterize main socioeconomic indicators of the city and evaluate their impact on the development and functioning of the local government. The next step will be identify the actors of the political process in the village and analyze their relationships and define the nature of the decision-making process of local governments on the basis of a comparison of the results of municipal elections. Research approach, that tries to take into account differences in the content and decision-making of local authorities in cities with different Population sizes. The work is proposed  as a case study. Two basic engineering approaches such as study of documents and interviews will be used for collecting of data.Other standard methodological procedures, especially comparison will be used in this work too

Effect of a soft tissue on vocal tract acoustic resonance properties in vocal exercises using phonation into tubes
Radolf, Vojtěch ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Laukkanen, A. M.
Mathematical model is introduced to clarify the influence of the vocal tract soft tissues on the acoustic resonance (formant) frequencies. The influence is studied in the context of voice therapy technique that uses phonation into tubes. Strong acoustc-structural interaction is demonstrated to take place in the vocal tract when it is prolonged by a tube with the distal end in air or submerged 2 cm and 10 cm in water. The numerical results from the model are compared with the resonance frequencies measured in humans.

Active control around circular cylinder using synthetic jet
Flídr, E. ; Broučková, Z. ; Šafařík, P. ; Trávníček, Zdeněk
The aim of this paper is active control around circular cylinder using synthetic jet. Flow control was investigated by flow field visualization in small wind tunnel. Velocity measurement using Pitot tube was used for evaluation of power and frequency characteristics of synthetic jet actuator. Measured frequency of actuator was compared to theoretical calculation.

Force interaction of an airfoil in fluid flow
Uruba, Václav
The physical mechanism of lift and drag forces exerted on an airfoil is studied using results from mathematical modelling. Special attention is paid to lift force origin. The mechanism based on 3D flow-structure as a result of 2D flow-field instability is described.

PIV and LIF study of flow and thermal fields of twine plumes in water
Broučková, Zuzana ; Trávníček, Zdeněk
Flow and thermal fields of a pair of plane plumes in water are investigated using PIV and LIF experiments. The plumes are generated from thermal line sources (electrically heated cylinders, diameter D = 1.21 mm). Either continuous or pulsating heating were used with the same heating input power. For a continuous heating, low frequency oscillations were identified and the natural frequency was evaluated as 0.5 Hz. Pulsating heating was used at frequency of 0.25 Hz. The maximum time-mean velocity magnitude at the continuous and pulsating heating were commensurable, approximately 0.007 m/s. Temperature fields reasonably agree with these findings.

SMV-2016-15: Development of permanent joints of mechanical assemblies
Zobač, Martin ; Vlček, Ivan ; Dupák, Libor
The subject of the project was further research and development of permanent joints by electron beam welding, vacuum brazing, pressworking and by technology of glass seals. The outcome of the project were specific technological procedures for the given assemblies.

The Economic Impact of Quantitative Easing as a Solution of the Government Debt
Svatoš, Ondřej ; Vopátek, Jiří (advisor) ; Švihlíková, Ilona (referee)
This thesis deals with quantitative easing as an unconventional tool of monetary policy that is used after economic crisis 2008 by some central banks including Fed, Bank of Japan, Bank of England, European Central Bank and Czech National Bank. The general purpose of this thesis is to define the concept of quantitative easing, to explain the reasons for its use, to evaluate its impact to macroeconomic aggregates in selected countries and put it into context with consumerism and government debt. The main goal is to evaluate the impact of quantitative easing in Czech Republic and valorize it as a tool for solving government debt problem.
