The optimization of the wood polymer composite composition regarding its utilization in building structures
Benešová, Anna ; Pospíšil,, Ladislav (referee) ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
Wood-polymer composite is a relatively new type of material that combines shattered wood mass and a thermoplastic polymer. This material is utilized especially as an alternative to hard wood in the area of non-bearing exterior elements, as it reaches better properties in terms of the basic durability and low maintenance. Raw material composition and processing of the composite enable to provide a significant modification with further matters leading to an improvement of the end-product properties. Research and development in this field focuses predominantly on the utilization of such modifying additives that either enhance the resistance to weathering or are of the recycled nature, as a significant part of the raw material mixture comprises the constituent obtained from non-renewable resources. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation of the influence of the wood-polymer composite modification separately at two levels. First of them is the modification to matrix by using a recycled polymer, the second one comprises the modification of the wood flour with a secondary spherical filler. Both types of modified composites have been assessed in terms pf the prime characteristics and the resistance to adverse ambient.
Study of reaction to fire tests for thermal insulating materials
Krivda, Antonín ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal insulation, it is fire resistance and reactions to fire. The thesis also approaches the testing of thermal insulation materials. In detail, it focuses on the Small flame test, Calorific value determination and the Flameproof test. The test methods were performed on insulators based on polystyrene and mineral wool. The literary research focuses on the fire safety of buildings that have been already insulated.
Study of possibilities of modification of insulators based on natural fibers for improvement of their fire reaction
Urbánek, Tomáš ; Sedlmajer, Martin (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
This paper deals with new possibilities of modification of organic (including natural) fibers to improve their reaction to fire used in the production of thermal and acoustic insulators. The aim of the thesis is to achieve a minimum reaction class to fire D in final insulators.
Evaluation of concrete structures after fire accident
Sachr, Jiří ; Rozsypalová, Iva (referee) ; Schmid, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis summarizes the knowledge connected with the design and behavior of reinforced concrete structures and materials during a fire. It deals with the non-destructive testing of hardness tests to determine the compressive strength of test specimens exposed to different fire temperatures.
The issue of concrete resistance to high temperatures
Krejčík, Jakub ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with resistance of cement concrete to high temperatures. Theoretical part of bachelor´s thesis describes changes that occures in concrete at thermal loading and behavior of each component of concrete. Next there were discribed ways to improve resistance of concrete to high temperatures, by choosing the right component or by adding fibre reinforcement. In experimental part composites with bassalt and polypropylen fibre and with bassalt aggregates were tested. In these composites changes of compressive strenght and changes of density were mesured according to the thermal loading. Next individual fibre reinforcement polypropylen, celulose and bassalt fibres were exposed to the thermal loading and their changes were observed.
Studying the behavior of concrete at high temperatures
Čonka, Ladislav ; Sitek,, Libor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the current issues of concrete resistance to high temperatures. The theoretical part has been processed the changes taking place in the individual components of concrete and changes affecting the physical - mechanical properties of concrete and color-changing effects manifesting high. In the experimental part of the load was, carried concrete test samples to a temperature of 400 ° C, 600 ° C and 800 ° C. After the thermal load, has been on test samples tested changes in physico - mechanical properties, especially concrete compressive strength, water absorption but also a visual assessment of the concrete surface
Study of durability of wood glue bonds against increased temperature
Kučera, Vít ; Vejpustek,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
In this time are for design of wooden elements available simplified procedures for fire modeling which defines ČSN EN 1991-1-2. But it is not experimentally tested the impact of adhesive on the final value of fire resistance of laminated panels. This diploma thesis solves basic normative practices that could explain the durability of glue bond against increased temperatures. in the practical part will be undertaken to experimentally assess the impact of various kinds of adhesive-based (epoxy, formaldehyde, PUR and EPI) on the glued bond durability against increased temperature. Glued joints that will be subjected to gradual temperature exposure in order to assemble the dependence of the temperature influence on the final strength of the joint according to the type of adhesive.
Heat resistance of wood bondlines
Šustáček, Jan ; Melichar, Tomáš (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on studying the impact of elevated temperatures on the resistance of bonded joints. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of exposure to temperatures on selected types of adhesives. In the theoretical part was made research and comparison of selected species agglomerated materials and described the issue of fire safety of buildings. To determine the strength characteristics of bonded joints at different temperatures have been made in the practical part load tests according to valid standards.
Study of the properties of cement concrete at high temperatures
Žák, Michal ; Sitek,, Libor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on behavior of cement concrete at high temperatures. The theoretical part describes processes, which take place in concrete at thermal loading and effect of this thermal load to mechanical and physical properties of concrete. Also there was described recommendation for testing physical and mechanical of concrete at high temperatures according to RILEM TC. In experimental part mixes were made with greywacke aggregate, amphibolite aggregate and with the addition of polypropylene fibers or cellulose fibers. In these mixes was determined the effect of high temperatures on the density of concrete, compressive strength of concrete and thermal strain of concrete. Further there was tested addition of 2 kg/m3 polypropylene fibers to concrete with basalt aggregate and siliceous aggregate and influence of these fibers to density of concrete, compressive strength of concrete and dynamic modulus of elasticity.
Architectural and technical inspection of building damaged by fire
Rozsypalová, Iva ; Schmid, Pavel (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis summarizes knowlegde related to the behavior of structures and material in the fire, focusing mainly on concrete and reinforced concrete structures. It deals with the design and implementation of diagnostic work of Building no. 103 in complex Svit Zlín affected by a large fire.
