Vidomusová, Veronika ; Štilec, Jiří (advisor) ; Bělor, Roman (referee)
The Bachelor degree work consists of seven chapters, one of which addresses the phenomenon of music in virtual space; for example 'Myspace', 'Bandzone' and 'Youtube'. This work charts the progress of sound recording from its birth, through to the present day. The main issue raised in this thesis is the decrease in saleability of CDs, the reasons behind which are proposed to be: 1. The legal availability of downloadable music. 2. The increase in popularity of internet shopping. At the same time, proposals have been made that attempt to reverse the trend in CD sales, and to innovate the manner in which they are marketed. Another example of music innovation, is the project Inkubátor, which is a corporate product of 'i-legalne.cz' and 'Bandzone.cz'. This project aims to help and support new bands, and to offer new music to a wider public audience. So at the end it seems, people all the time try to find out something new.

Male role and its developement in society
VLÁČILOVÁ, Hana
The thesis deals with the male role and its development in society, whereas this issue has been currently widely discussed. For this reason, the main objective of this thesis is to indicate the evolution of the male role in the past and its impact on the current state of masculinity in partnerships and family relationships. A sub-objective is to compare the male roles in a partnership and a family with a generational gap The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the male role at the present time, more particularly with the crisis of masculinity and the social pressures on men, the terms such as sexual identity and gender identity are defined and a substantial part is devoted to the transmission of malehood in education, the relationship between father and son and a crisis of fatherhood. Equally significant is the section focused on the role of a male partner ? a husband. The theoretical part ends with a chapter in which men´s movements in the Czech Republic are briefly described. The information needed to carry out the empirical part were obtained by the qualitative research technique, semi-structured interviews with men divided by age into two groups, which allowed comparison of views of two generations. The topic of the research was the comparison of respondents' opinions on the development of male roles, changes in male roles in partnerships and a family and the influence of the fathers´ absence in shaping the male role. The results point out the similarities and differences in opinions of the two age groups of men on the above- mentioned topics. This comparison provides some food for thought, and outlines possible explanations of a masculinity crisis. The outcomes of the thesis may be a valuable information source for all men who seek their masculine identity and have been confronted with problems in their partnerships or family lives. This thesis also can help women to better understand men. In addition, it could be beneficial to teaching gender issues or sociology of the family.

Abortion as an Ethical Problem
ZÍBAROVÁ, Zuzana
This thesis deals with ethical aspects of abortion. In the theoretical part, I focus first on the definition of the term abortion and its legal history. I also follow the use and development of contraception and review certain legal and medical conditions necessary for performing the procedure. I try to define ethics, discuss moral judgment and some ethical concepts. I list some of the groups fighting for the annulment of law that legalizes abortion in the Czech Republic. Further, I turn my attention to doctors and their views, to Hippocrates{\crq} oath and post-abortive syndrome. I touch upon the issue of emotions, decisions and principles. I also concentrate on abortion as a result of the child{\crq}s disability or a solution after a crime. I claim that women might face the threat of social exclusion as a consequence of the abortion. I provide information on holism, ascentism and maternal instinct. I follow the development of attitude to parenthood. The work is completed by analysis of the collected data. In this part, I present various opinions regarding abortion. I seek to find out whether the respondents think that they are sufficiently informed about the issue of abortion and which sources they use, when the fetus becomes a human being and whether they think that the father{\crq}s consent is necessary for the procedure. I inquire whether they agree with abortion in general or only for specific reasons and whether the woman has the right to decide about life and death of the unborn child. The goal of the work was to present various ethical views of the given issue and to review opinions regarding the abortion rate and procedure of a selected section of inhabitants of the Ústí region. The research was conducted through quantitative approach, method of questioning and technique of questionnaire. It was performed in bigger towns and cities of the region. The sample consisted of 300 people. I set two hypotheses. First hypothesis: The older generation opposes the idea of abortion more strongly than the younger. Second hypothesis: In the Ústí region there are more people who agree with abortion than those who disagree. While the first hypothesis proved false, the second one proved correct.

Intervention of the state in the property rights of foreign investors
Poništiak, Ondrej ; Balaš, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šturma, Pavel (referee)
VI Abstract International investment activity plays in the capitalistic globalized world, which is aimed at sustainable economic growth, an important role. Effort of the states to ensure the most favourable investment conditions for foreign investors strikes in some spheres on legitimate regulatory state measures, which are adopted with reference to the international law principle of state sovereignty. Expropriation or nationalisation together with the seizure represented in the past the most compelling taking of foreign investor property rights and their identification didn't make pronounced troubles. It's clear that confiscatory or nationalizing states measure doesn't increase its investment attractivity and so states are nowadays in the sphere of takings into foreign investor property interests much more careful and more inventive. The task of submitted work is among other things to characterize these takings referred to by notion indirect expropriation and to differentiate them from legitimate state measures regarding the general social aims and social interests, which don't require any compensation in contrast to indirect expropriation. By reason that the right to expropriate is seen to be part of customary international law, there was especially a developed states effort to regulate the conditions of...

Supervision in Therapeutic Communities for Drug Abusers in the Czech Republic
Kabíček, Jakub ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Hajný, Martin (referee)
My thesis is about supervision in therapeutic communities for drug abusers in the Czech Republic. In the first, theoretical part, there are described concepts the supervision and the therapeutic community. It shows a developement of TC's in the world and also in the Czech Republic and describes the history of TC's for drug abusers after 1989. Part of thesis is about clients of TC's and also about what is therapeutic community therapeutic. It's giving point also to quality standards, that are for these organisations and their supervision. The second part, empirical, maps and describes supervision praxis in TC's in the Czech Republic. Answers the questions: who is providing supervision in TC's(external, internal), with whom is supervision provided (team, individual, group), what is it about (case, program, focused on employees for example team, management), how is it provided (regular, occasional, crisis). After all it is about the developement of supervision in TC's after 1989 and reasons, that in TC's leads to change of supervisor. And at least to conflicts of roles, that accompanied (accompanies?) supervision in TC's.
