Reflexive therapy as part of relaxation technique
HRBÁČKOVÁ, Lenka
In my bachelor thesis I looked at reflexive therapy as part of relaxation techniques. In the theoretical part, I introduced this method in relation to health and healthy lifestyles, and placed it between one of relaxation techniques - massage. In subsequent chapters I have dealt directly reflexology, its characteristics, history and current situation, the basic principle, reflective zones, technology implementation, the types of touches, process effects, contraindications, with additional treatment and it is used as a method of diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive and help yourself methods. In the practical part I using a questionnaire survey examined the level of knowledge students the Faculty of Education University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, namely students of Health Education on the aforementioned therapy. Sub-part of my work was to create a simple methodological manual for the wider public, which could be used as teaching material.

Haasová, Radka ; Běláčková, Vendula (advisor) ; Houdek, Petr (referee)
Thesis deals with currently discussed topic -- the medical use of cannabis -- the missing possibility in the current medicine state in the Czech republic. Despite the fact that cannabis seems to be very effective for medical use, official medical use of cannabis permitted by law can be observed in only few countries. Czech republic doesn't belong among these countries, however there are some tendencies to change current situation. The goal of the thesis is to stand up for medical use of cannabis in the Czech republic and to contribute to above mentioned tendencies to change current situation. To reach the goal thesis introduces theoretical background of medical use of cannabis which explains advantages of its use, but primarily in the empirical part in which compares current (without the use of cannabis) and potential costs (with the use of cannabis) of the treatment of multiple sclerosis comes with the conclusion that with the use of cannabis is possible to save 1 931 923 444,- CZK.
Women´s awareness about mammographic examinations in the South Moravian region
MICHNOVÁ, Lenka
One of the aims of the bachelor?s thesis was to survey the awareness of women about the mammographic examination. Since 2002 the organized preventive scheme of active search for breast carcinoma has been under way. Breast carcinoma is a serious condition that affects women from a very young age. However, it is very well treatable if caught early. Many women have already undergone the mammographic examination. This is why a survey was carried out on the awareness of women about this procedure. The data necessary for the bachelor?s thesis were gathered by means of a quantitative survey. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The questionnaires were voluntary and anonymous, aimed at female patients in selected hospitals in the South Moravia region (Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute Brno, University Hospital Brno, Hospital Břeclav, and Hospital Kyjov). Women over 18 years of age could participate in the survey, regardless if they were going for their first or repeated examination. The total number of questionnaires handed out was 120, 110 were returned. The survey took place in July and August 2010. Three main objectives and three hypotheses were defined. The first objective was to survey the awareness of women going for a mammographic examination. The objective was achieved. The second objective was to inform and prepare the patients for further procedures if a malign tumour was found. This objective was achieved as well. The third objective was to specify the differences in the awareness of women between the individual hospitals in the South Moravia region, and it was achieved as well. The first hypothesis, that the awareness of women in hospitals is sufficient, was confirmed. The second hypothesis, that the patients are fully informed and ready for next procedures if a malign tumour is found, was also confirmed. And the last hypothesis, that the awareness of women differs between individual hospitals, was confirmed as well. The issue of the female patients? awareness prior to mammographic examination remains very important. As the current legislation states that the patient must be instructed about the examination it is necessary to make sure the patients have enough time and space to evaluate the provided information and to ask questions if necessary.
Nurses Suffering from Psoriasis
ONDRÁČKOVÁ, Andrea
Psoriasis is a non-infectious inflammation with the genetic disposition. It is a chronic inflammatory disease connected with the accelerated reproduction of skin cells whose cause has not been recognized yet. According to various sources it afflicts 2-3% of the Central European population in different forms including the most serious cases which can affect with the intensive inflammation the entire skin surface. There are several types of psoriasis and they differ with the intensity and the symptoms. The disease shows a red marked area covered with silver white scales of dead cells. Psoriasis does not belong to cases which endanger our life but it enormously influences the physical, psychic and social aspects of the life. The content of the Bachelor work is focused on the issue of psoriasis at general nurses who work in this medical profession. The work is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains available information on psoriasis from history, disease characteristics, nurse´s role during the nursing process and selected types of treatment. Further, it involves summary of nurses diagnoses of people suffering from psoriasis and the issues of life quality which is undoubtedly affected a lot. In the research ? empiric part of the work the inquiry was carried out with the qualitative method. Data were collected by using the technique of an anonymous, individual, in-depth and non-standardized interview with respondents ? general nurses suffering with psoriasis. The aim of the work was to find out how psoriasis influences the nurses´ professional life. The research questions dealt with the general information about the nurse as a patient, with work limitations, stigmatisation from patients and the staff and with the influence of the medical environment on worsening psoriasis symptoms. The research showed that psoriasis does not influence quality nursing care and that this disease influences the private life more than the professional one. The results of the research compile an information leaflet from which patients can find out, that they do not have to be afraid of nurses suffering from psoriasis and that their disease does not affect their nursing care. Another contribution of the work lies in a printed article which enables the general public to get the information.
MIDWIFE´S ROLE IN EDUCATION OF WOMEN WITH PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE
VLČKOVÁ, Hana
MIDWIFE´S ROLE IN EDUCATION OF WOMEN WITH PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE Nowadays, the number of women who have underestimated the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease and who have been coping with its consequences such as chronic pain or infertility is increasing. Therefore the following topic was selected for the bachelor thesis: "Midwife´s Role in Education of Women with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease". The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the educational activity provided by a midwife, basic aetiology of pelvic inflammatory disease, its treatment and nursing process for women with pelvic inflammatory disease. A quantitative research method using anonymous questionnaires was selected for the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The research was conducted in the period of 1 January - 31 March 2011 and 93 responders participated in it. Three goals were stated in the thesis and they were met. The first goal of the research was to find out whether women are informed about the symptoms, treatment and subsequent prevention of pelvic inflammatory disease. The second goal was to find out how satisfied women are with the level of education provided by a midwife in the field of pelvic inflammatory disease. The third goal was to create educational material on pelvic inflammatory disease. Further, for the purpose of the research, 3 hypotheses were stated. Hypothesis No. 1: "Women are aware of the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease and they pay respective attention to them," was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 2: "Women lack information on causative agents of pelvic inflammatory disease causing post-inflammatory changes such as infertility," was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 3: !Women have enough information on causes of occurrence of gynaecological inflammation, its symptoms, treatment and subsequent prevention," was not confirmed. The results of the research investigation of this thesis could be useful for midwives and their educational activity. Educational material in form of a leaflet was created for women´s needs.
Ethical issues concerning pharmacological castration
REISKÝ, Daniel
This paper deals with a now very topical and much debated issue of sexual deviants, who have committed particularly serious sexual crimes and who have the opportunity to undergo treatment for their disorder using pharmacological castration (hormonal inhibition) from an ethical perspective, rid of media tint sensationalism. It also deals with people who demonstrably do not suffer from any form of sexual preference disorders (paraphilia), and yet they have committed a serious act, as those who are affected by this disorder. The objective of this paper is to highlight the issue of sexual deviants who need treatment, without being denied any human rights and, in particular, to distinguish, but not justify, the behaviour of people suffering from such disorders, which, although hardly excusable, can be understood from a certain perspective and the behaviour of healthy individuals whose actions cannot be understood even with the broadest and most benevolent view on the issue. The research was, in relation to the objectives set, carried out in the form of an anonymous quantitative questionnaire that was directed to verify defined hypotheses, in particular, whether the use of pharmacological castration is consistent with human rights, whether pharmacological castration is acceptable only with the reception of an informed consent from the patient {--} a convicted person - and the view of experts on the use of this form of treatment for sexual deviants. In order to achieve the most relevant results, the research sample consisted of physicians {--} psychiatrists and psychologists from various facilities, both outpatient and inpatient, where these deviants are treated. Only to supplement the paper and add authenticity, a qualitative research was carried out in the form of an unguided telephone interview with people {--} prisoners {--} who have committed particularly serious premeditated criminal acts and who have been treated with pharmaceuticals. The views of both the groups were then, where possible, jointly compared. The knowledge gained can be used to inform the general public better about these issues, which could prevent generalizations of individual cases and one-sided view of the nature of the issue. Also the convicted sexual deviants could benefit, knowing that they are not alone with their problem in the society.
Pectoris angina as a symptom of acute myocardial infarction in urgent care
ŠVORC, Jaroslav
This dissertation deals with the topic of stenocardia as the symptom of an acute myocardial infarction in prehospital emergency care. The goal of my work is to map the time lag from the first symptoms of an acute myocardial infarction to giving an urgent non-hospital first aid. The introductory part summarizes basic terms of anatomy and physiology of the considered system. The theoretical part of my work includes an ischemic disease and the most frequent risk factors which patients bear. The theoretical part is mainly dedicated to an acute myocardial infarction, i.e. its origin, symptoms, diagnostics, and treatment. The final part deals with issues concerning education of a patient from a medical rescuer's point of view. My work also involves a research part including the file of patients with diagnosed acute myocardial infarction. I nave got the data using retrospective analysis of the outgoing cards of the patients of the Medical Rescue Service Team of Ústí Region, with diagnoses of an acute myocardial infarction. The data has been processed into a table from which other graphs and tables in research part result. It observes the time lag from the first symptoms of an acute myocardial infarction to calling for help and giving an urgent non-hospital first aid. I also follow the main symptoms of an acute myocardial infarction (pain, propagation of pain). The research part results into conclusion, that the majority of patients calls for Medical Rescue Service Team within 3 hours after appearing the first symptoms of stenocardia. The patients mainly call for help within 1 hour after the first problems appear in this 3 hours interval.
Health and Social Problems of Alzheimers Disease in the District Jihlava
VESELÁ, Hana
A theoretical part of the thesis is focused on Alzheimer´s disease (hereinafter only AD), its development, diagnosis and treatment. It describes communication problems with a person with dementia. It is also focused on a family caregiver and social services which are available for persons with AD. One objective was defined for the practical part. The aim of the thesis was to describe health and social care of people with AD in the district of Jihlava. A partial objective was to chart problems which lay caregivers, caring of a person with AD at home, fumble with. To realize the research I used an interviewing method and a technique of a semi-structured interview at six caregivers who care of a person with AD in the district of Jihlava and a method of a document analysis, a technique of a secondary data analysis. The research was carried out in the period from 20th January to 4th March, 2011 in caregivers´ households from the district of Jihlava. During interviews with respondents their anonymity was preserved. There was found out that 4 of 6 caregivers live in a common household with the person with AD from the analysed and evaluated interviews. All interviewed caregivers underestimated early symptoms of AD and confused them with symptoms of physiologic ageing. 5 of 6 caregivers do not know the Czech Alzheimer Society. All interviewed caregivers indicate the caregiver´s mental stress as the most difficult thing in the care of the person with AD. There was created a table of facilities providing residential health and social services for persons with AD in the region of Vysočina within the secondary data analysis. The bachelor thesis will serve as a basis for Diaconate ECBB in Myslibořice for a consultancy provided in an area of the residential health and social services in the region of Vysočina. The thesis could be used as a basis for a preparation of a community plan of the social services in the region of Vysočina.
Effect of \kur{Nosema apis} and \kur{Nosema ceranae} on colonyof bees
ANDERLOVÁ, Jana
The work is aimed at assessing the influence of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae on the hive. The literature contains only a limited degree of information about Nosema disease, which caused by both protozoa, that?s why the main aim of this work is to gather all available technical information from various sources, to compare and evaluate them. The result of evaluating the information gathered then is how this disease affects bee behavior, which has implications for breeding bees. The content of this work is first the general characteristics of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae, their distribution, reproduction and development. A description Nosema disease, such as preventive and disinfecting measures to prezent it and how you can treat already established disease. The findings described by ptrotozoa Nosema apis imply that this protozoa is explored in the vast majority. Nosema ceranae is a recently discovered species and its research is not yet complete. Finally, the thesis summarizes the most important effects of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae on the hive. These factors include, fluctuating number of individuals in a hive, honey yields lower, in some cases death of the colony and it also changed the behavior of honey bees.
Selected aspects of the therapy effectivenes in AT institutions
ŠPERLOVÁ, Zuzana
The bachelor thesis deals with the therapy of reliance on alcohol and its efficiency in biological, psychological and social aspects. The theoretical part deals with alcohol generally and with the basic conceptions connected with the reliance on alcohol. Further, in the theoretical part, the reliance on alcohol and its therapy is described. In greater detail, I turned to the therapy itself and to the description of the institutions dealing with the therapy of dependences. In the practical part, I chose the research of quality. I used the method of halfstandardized conversation with abstaining clients of AT institutions. As next research technique, I used the method of observation. I attended the session of the clients with reliance on alcohol in the programme of follow-up care in the social psycologic centre Arkáda in Písek and the session of anonymous alcoholics. Further, in my research, I used the technique of case-reports for a better presentation of the change of the quality of life due to the therapy of the dependences. The case-reports were interpretted from the resukts of the discussions. The last used method is the reading of professional literature and its presentation in this thesis. The aim of this work is to determine the selected aspects of the therapy effectivenes in AT institutions. The effectivenes is determmined by the change of the state from the point of view of bio-psycho-social aspects of the clients of AT institutions. The next aim was to evaluate the clients´ satisfaction with the services of individual AT institutions aimed at the fight with the reliance on alcohol and to determine other aspects of the reliance on alcohol. From my research it resulted, that the therapy of the reliance on alcohol in a specialized institution is a more effective form of the therapy of reliance on alcohol in an ambulatory establishment and this therapy markedly influences the quality of life of the clients with reliance on alcohol and the most effective way is the complex therapy in all items of the therapy of defendences. Further, it was proved, that the situation of the respondents improved in all selected aspects. My research also proved the connection of alcohol with another dependence, mostly on nicotine. Along with this, it confirmed the new trend in the therapy of dependences. i.e. the therapy of dual dependences, from which most of my respondents suffered. This work can serve as a whole manual for persons directly affected by the reliance on alcohol both in the laic and the professional public. Further, it can help the students with their studies or serve as a base for their follow-up studies.
