In the practical part of my thesis, some of the principles of cooperation which already works in practice in the concrete nursery school are described; also, there are introduced new environmental projects Healthy Eating and Living Garden in which parents are involved directly.
Opinions of students and their parents on the prestige of various types of education in secondary schools in Písek
ZAPLETALOVÁ, Radka
This dissertation pays attention to opinions of parents and students on the prestige of various types of education on secondary schools in Písek. The dissertation presents conclusions of several Czech as well as international studies, dealing with the matter of secondary school education. Further on it describes some circumstances influencing secondary school education. It also introduces historical development and the present of Czech secondary school education and the system of secondary school education in some of other European states. It characterises various secondary schools in Písek and also looks at a secondary school student from the psycho-sociological point of view. The data obtained from a personal qualitative research are further on interpreted an evaluated and in the following discussion compared with the findings of the initial research. The most prestigious type of secondary education amongst students as well as their parents is general secondary school education followed by specialized secondary school education and finally vocational education. It is evident that the parents' evaluation differs and is also influenced by the importance for further professional life. Cultural capital also plays a very important role. Parents prefer the type of specialized secondary school education followed by a graduation exam. The prestige of all types of secondary school education has recently been decreasing especially due to the absence of entrance examinations and badly established education financing system and a high number of private secondary schools.
The potential and benefits of pastoral care in perinatal child loss
HRACHOVCOVÁ, Hana
The thesis focuses on the potential and benefits of pastoral care in perinatal child loss. Discussion of the main topic of the work is preceded by a definition of perinatal child loss, information on Dead Foetus Syndrome, an introduction to new-born palliative care at neonatal intensive and resuscitative care units, as well as a reference to the experience parents go through in the death of their own child. A brief introduction of the field of practical theology is followed by the characteristics of clinical pastoral care and the potentials for its practical application. Emphasis is placed on the fact that clinical pastoral care can benefit not only sick patients and their loved ones, but also healthcare workers who are often confronted with pain and suffering during the course of their work. This discussion is then followed by a brief mention of the three theological virtues (love, hope, and faith) that are an essential prerequisite to the efforts of pastoral workers. The topic is concluded with a chapter touching on eschatological perspectives, the importance of baptism, and hope for the salvation of children who pass away before having been baptised.
Impact of unmarried cohabitation on their child from the kindergarten teacher's point of view
OKAPALOVÁ, Martina
Bachelor thesis aims to determine the impact of unmarried cohabitation on a child from the viewpoint of kindergarten teachers. The second aim is to determine how children themselves perceive that their parents are married or in a marriage "without papers". The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with unmarried cohabitation, marriage, child and family needs. The practical part presents the results of a qualitative survey, which is made in form of interviews. The main research question is: How do kindergarten teachers perceive the impact of unmarried cohabitation on a child, whether and how unmarried cohabitation manifests on a child in kindergarten? The research group consists of kindergarten teachers. The second research group consists of children of mixed-age classes. Using the method of group interview shows, what wedding means to them, whether and how they perceive differences connected with the surname. The research showed that preschool children, from the perspective of the teachers, do not perceive at all, whether their parents are married or unmarried. The important thing for them is that parents are together and behave lovingly to each other, as well as for them alone. This opinion was confirmed by interviews with children.
The most frequent acute and critical state of childrens in prehospital emergency care
HNOJNOVÁ, Jana
This thesis is focused on conditions that directly threaten the child's life and are already addressed in pre-hospital emergency care. The most vulnerable are children from one year to eight years, so I have therefore focused on the most common conditions in this group. Pre-hospital emergency care includes not only professional first aid provided by crews of emergency medical services, as well as general first aid which is given in most cases by parents. This increases the chance of recovery or survival of the child. Not only professionals but also the general public should be able to provide first aid. The theoretical part of this thesis begins with definitions of terms seen in the title. It defines and divides pre-hospital emergency care. It also deals with a child patient in pre-hospital emergency care division of childhood and its specific characteristics that are important in the medical examination, diagnosis and treatment of paediatric patients. The chapter describes the child cardiopulmonary resuscitation basic and advanced resuscitation. The main chapter called ?the most common acute and critical conditions in children in the PNP? contains eleven states. For each state describes the symptoms and addresses the practices of non-professional first aid and specialized first aid. The practical part was focused on mapping of knowledge of practices both non-professional first aid and specialized first aid for acute conditions in children between one and eight years. Both surveys were carried out using quantitative research through questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed in paper form and sent via e-mail with a link to an electronic questionnaire in the period from May to July 2013. There were two basic sets of data collection, from parents of children from selected paediatric clinics in the district of town Tábor and from professionals working crew in the Emergency Medical Service of South Bohemia in position paramedic. Respondents were at the beginning of the questionnaire familiar with its anonymity and the nature of research. The parent´s questions 1-4 are used for more detailed mapping of the respondents. The following questions 5-12 were selected to investigate parents' knowledge of first aid in the most common acute and critical conditions in children from 1 year to 8 years in the PNP to allowing them to confirm or refute the hypothesis. The last two questions 13 and 14 are interested in respondents' own assessment. In paramedic´s questions 1-5 try to approach interviewed respondents. In questions 6-14 is tested their knowledge of first aid training and first aid in the most common acute and critical conditions in children from 1 year to 8 years in the PNP. In the last issue No. 15 paramedic assesses his / her knowledge. Both hypotheses were statistically evaluated by using the chi-square test. The resulting level of significance rejected the null hypothesis in both cases, and thus confirmed H1, which states that parents have knowledge of first aid in the most common acute and critical conditions in children from one to eight years and H2, which says that paramedics have the knowledge of first aid for the most common acute and critical conditions, the scope children from one year to eight years.
Specificity of nursing care for children with multiple disability
MARŠÁLKOVÁ GREŠOVÁ, Jana
The thesis focused on the issues of nursing care of children with serious combined handicap. Thanks to scientific progress in the field of medicine and nursing care lives of children with such a handicap are extending. This is why correct understanding of the issue, its link to nursing care, but also finding the right approach to these children and their parents are so important. The theoretical part deals with nursing care in paediatrics, needs of handicapped children and their families, specifics of communication and complex care of children with combined handicap. Three goals were set within the research. The first goal was to find out the experience and opinions of nurses related to specifics of nursing care of children with serious combined handicap. The second goal was to map services provided to parents of children with serious combined handicap in Prague and in the Central Bohemia Region. The third goal was to map the problems of cooperation between nurses and parents taking care about a child with serious combined handicap. Qualitative research was used in the empiric part of the thesis. We used a questioning method in the form of semi standardized interview. The first test sample consisted of 9 nurses working in facilities providing care to children with serious combined handicap in Prague and Central Bohemia. There were nurses from a child centre, a social service centre, a paediatric neurology ambulatory surgery and a paediatric neurology ward. The second research sample consisted of 9 parents caring for children under 18 years of age with the third or fourth dependence degree. An open coding technique ? the paper & pencil method ? was used for processing the interviews. Document analysis was applied to mapping the services in Prague and Central Bohemia. Three research questions were set: 1 - What experience do nurses providing care to children with serious combined handicap have? 2 - What services are available to parents with children with serious combined handicap in Prague and Central Bohemia? 3 - How does cooperation between a nurse and parents caring about a child with serious combined handicap work? The quantitative research results show clearly that nursing care of children with serious combined handicap has its specifics in the field of communisation, in the files of the needs of the children and their families and is affected by obstacles to the care and competence of nurses caring for these children. Answers of the nurses and the children differ in some cases. The interviews with the respondents showed that cooperation is based on mutual information, education in nursing procedures, mutual confidence and involvement of the family in the care for the handicapped child. Answers of the respondents were identical in the category of cooperation between nurses and parents. The second aim was to map the services provided to parents of children with serious combined handicap. We found 48 facilities upon document analysis, of which 9 were in Prague and 39 in the Central Bohemia region. A table and a map where the individual facilities are located were prepared upon content analysis and consequently a graph describing the form of the care provided there. The research results will be provided to nursing managements of the facilities that showed interest during the research and presented in specialized seminars. An informative brochure for parents of the children and nurses providing nursing care to children with serious combined handicap will be based on the information obtained during elaboration of the thesis.
