In the introduction I pay attention to Zdeněk Fibich´s curriculum vitae, to his relation to women and to the character of his compositions and then the attention will be devoted only to the cycle Moods, Impressions and Souveniers, to its topics and inspirations, structure and content of its parts. In a separate chapter I focuse to the character of this collection, to the sound aspect of this composition as much as to the piano type, which is used in this composition by Fibich. Within the framework of content analysis the attention will be devoted to the detailed analysis of select compositions. For this opportunity it will be placed proper scores of these analysed compositions to the text of this graduation thesis. The evaluation of the results will be mentioned in the end of this dissertation.

Russian captivity as the whole-life professional inspiration. War years of botanist Josef Podpěra
Pazdera, David ; Kodera, Pavel
In the introduction of the study authors present their working typologization of career of Czech scientists during WW I. Consequently, they begin with the analysis of a war line of a Czech, or Moravian botanist Josef Podpěra, who is an interesting example how the military conflict in the certain circumstances could be an important benefit for a professional career. On the eve of the war Podpěra was an officer of c. k. Landsturm. In March 1915, when the fortification Přemyšl fell, he was taken as a Russian prisoner and was transported into eastern Russia town Ufa where he began with studying Russian nature and botany, since autum 1915 even under the patronage of the gubernian museum in Ufa. His scientific activity in Ufa was continuing till the approach of Czechoslovak legions which he joined in summer 1918. The continuance in Ufa gave Podpěra a solid base of knowledge of Russian nature and botany, which he built his very succesfull career at Masaryk university in Brno after war on.

Grammatical evolution
Nohejl, Adam ; Iša, Jiří (referee) ; Mráz, František (advisor)
Grammatical evolution (GE) is a recent grammar-based approach to genetic programming that allows development of solutions in an arbitrary programming language. Its existing implementations lack documentation and do not provide reproducible results suitable for further analysis. This thesis summarises the methods of GE and the standard methods used in evolutionary algorithms, and reviews the existing implementations, foremost the only actively developed one, GEVA. A new comprehensive software framework for GE is designed and implemented based on this review. It is modular, well-documented, portable, and gives reproducible results. It has been tested in two benchmark applications, in which it showed competitive results and outperformed GEVA 10 to 29 times in computational time. It is also shown how to further improve the performance and results by using techniques unsupported by GEVA, including new modications to the previously published methods of bit-level mutation and "sensible" initialisation. The thesis and the software together form a solid foundation for further experiments and research.

International magazines and journals (National Geographic and Reader's Digest) launched at the Czech market: transfer strategies and processes
Gallóová, Markéta ; Králová, Jana (referee) ; Jettmarová, Zuzana (advisor)
This study has aimed at describing the strategies and processes that apply during the introduction of international magazines to the Czech market. We have chosen the well-known and widely read, truly international magazines National Geographic and Reader's Digest as our material. We have focused on the role of these magazines in the interaction of cultures (Czech and American). We have realized that this area of translatological knowledge has not yet been analysed thoroughly enough. There are only a few studies, only one of them concerning one of these magazines (Reader's Digest). This study (Robyns 1994) suggests that Reader's Digest disseminates (American) ideology and at the same time constructs a certain homogeneous world. We have intended to find out if this was true about Reader's Digest and also National Geographic in the Czech Republic. We have chosen basically two theoretical sources. One of them was "the Manipulation School" which states that: "Translation is […] a rewriting of an original text. […] Rewriting is manipulation, undertaken in service of power." Lefevere (1992: vii). Therefore we wanted to describe, whether there is some manipulation taking place during the translation of the above mentioned magazines and in service of which power it operates. Critical discourse analysis was our...

Introduction to Discipleship in The Brethen Church
CHÁNOVÁ, Pavla

These are the leadership of a group of disciples, discipleship dormitory Tyrannus Hall in Prague, spiritual parenting and spiritual motherhood.

Essays on Monetary Policy and Estimation of DSGE Models
Rychalovska, Yuliya ; Slobodyan, Sergey (advisor) ; Žák, Milan (referee) ; Hlédik, Tibor (referee)
The thesis is motivated by current practice of policy conduct implemented by many monetary institutions. In particular, a new operational framework, inflation targeting, has been introduced by the most advanced central banks. In addition, DSGE models became widely used for systematic evaluation of macroeconomic effects of monetary policy and forecasting. In the first chapter of the thesis, I assess possible risks and challenges of implementing inflation targeting strategy in more complicated, but at the same time more realistic, DSGE model economies. I focus on analysis of optimal monetary policy and welfare in a DSGE model of a small open economy with multiple domestic sectors, which have different structural characteristics. The findings suggest that openness to trade as well as sector-specific features do matter for monetary policy design thus generating important implications for optimal stabilization objectives and social welfare. The ranking of simple rules indicates that flexible CPI targeting regime is able to closely replicate the optimal solution and outperform the policy of domestic inflation stabilization. Finally, the sensitivity analysis demonstrates that the presence of sectoral asymmetries may alter the relative performance of alternative policy rules. The second part of the thesis...

The transformation of traditional Russian cuisine within Russian eating tradition (introduction to the problem)
"U všech zemědělských národů (s částečnou výjimkou severských kočovných pastevců) se stal hlavním zdrojem kalorií rostlinný škrob - v Evropě a Západní Asii hlavně pšenice a ječmen.

Web applications development using the JavaServer Faces framework
Hanel, David ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Šlajchrt, Zbyněk (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with a JavaServer Faces technology (JSF). It is a server-side framework which should facilitate a development of Java technology-based web applications. Firstly there is a brief introduction of the Java EE platform architecture. Then the possibilities and advantages of JSF are analyzed subsequently. The whole text is adjusted to those who are experienced in JavaServer Pages (JSP) but have never used the JSF framework. In individual chapters are introduced the basic aspects of JSF applications and their functionality, like for example user interface components, page navigation, data conversion and validation, event handling, application life cycle etc. The thesis may be used as an educational material. Therefore there are also some practising tasks at the end of the chapters three till seven. Their possible solutions may be found in the attached files.

Diagnosing vascular prosthesis infection by means of the FDG-PET/CT
Špaček, Miroslav ; Bělohlávek, Otakar (advisor) ; Vojáček, Jan (referee) ; Gregor, Zdeněk (referee)
Introduction: Vascular prosthesis infection (VPI) is a life-threatening complication in 0.5- 5% of cases. Early and reliable diagnosis is a necessity for adequate treatment. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard diagnostic method used world-wide with excellent results, but in cases of advanced graft infection. Low grade infections in non-acute patients are a diagnostic challenge requiring a new method with good diagnostic accuracy. The aim of this work is to define the accuracy of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in these settings and to identify essential parameters of its evaluation. Material and Methods: Seventy-six consecutive patients with total of 96 vascular prosthetic grafts in which infection was suspected underwent PET/CT examination prospectively. PET/CT scans were analysed in terms of presence and intensity of focal and diffuse FDG uptake, presence of anastomotic pseudoaneurysm, irregular boundary of infiltration, combination of these, and uptake ratio between graft and blood background. Also, other parameters like white blood cell count, C-reactive protein, and microbiological cultures were tested. The final diagnosis (gold standard) was based on operative/histopathological finding or >6 months clinical follow up. Results: In our series the prevalence of VPI was 57.3 % (55/96 prostheses). Among various...
