Marketing Communication of Commercial and Non-profitable Theatres

Bachelor's thesis titled "Marketing Communication of Commercial and Non-profitable Theatres" investigates the influence of theatrical production in regard to the legal form of the theatre operator and also the influence of its founder on the usage of various marketing tools and techniques. The way how theatres communicate with the public and present their current and future production significantly affects the attendance and the economic results of operators. As the conclusion implies, it is not only the legal form which influences the marketing communication. More importantly, it is the professional knowledge and personnel interest of the marketing team.
Financing of Theaters in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with options for financing of theatres in the Czech Republic. Czech Republic is attempting to use more sources for financing of theatres in which share of public sources is unsubstitutable. The thesis is even mainly concerned with these public sources. Theatres wouldn't probably exist without these sources. Firstly there are defined basic terms in theoretical part, including analysis of models of theatre operations and short historical excursion. Secondly statistical information is following and the end of theoretical part deals with particular types for financing of theatres in detailed distinction of public, private and internal sources. Second part of the thesis is executed in the form of case study with the main object of the National Theatre as state allowance organization. Particularly is conducted analysis of financing of this theatre, including definition of available options of gaining financial sources. Upon detected facts there are recommendations made how to more or effectively exploit financial opportunities. As a part of case study there is also assessment of the basic economy indicators of the 2013 year. The purpose of the thesis is to make an overview of available methods of financing theatres as distinctive economic subject and in the case of the National Theatre to suggest solutions for prospective improvements.
The meaning of Alfred Radok´s award and asses the activities of the Alfred Radok´s foundation

The Master thesis discusses the origin, development and termination of Alfred Radok's foundation. Furthermore the thesis deals with Alfred Radok's award endowment fund, which was focusing on the presentation of Alfred Radok's award. The aim of this thesis is to assess the activities of the foundation and of the endowment fund with a special focus on issues Alfred Radok's awards ceremony during its 23-year's operation. A great benefit of the thesis is information which is not going to be accessible anymore due to the end of Alfred Radok's awards. Alfred Radok's awards were composed of two parts. First part was an anonymous dramatic competition which awards the best script of an original Czech theatre play. And the second part was awarding of a production categories. Results of the production categories were based on a theatre critic's survey. The aim was to find out how are the critics and publicists satisfied with this survey. The method of the research was qualitative investigation based on semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, the data was evaluated and interpreted.
Marketing Strategy

The main goal of this thesis is to identify the differencies and specifics of arts marketing and then evaluate a strategy of specific project. The theoretical part introduce the culture, art and theater. The following section is focused on classical marketing always accompanied by specifics in the area of culture and art. The theory is then applied to a particular project and thesis is finished with marketing research aimed to identify the motivation to visit and percepiton's level of marketing tools by visiters.
Návrh foyeru Divadla Bez zábradlí

The bachelor thesis deals with the foyer of the Theater Bez zábradlí. First part solves analysis of the issue with the general requirements for the foyer of the theater and research theater scenes. The theaters are supported by a brief historical, personally documented and described.Next is a description of the current state of Divadlo Bez zábradlí with photographs and construction documentation. The solution proposal of interior foyer of the Theater is mainly engaged in desk at the entrance, bar, seating and positioning the accessories. The table located at the entrance is recorded in the documentation. The important part is a survey of visitors opinion on the proposed theater solutions. The final proposal is attached at the annex in the form of a drawing ground plan with an itemized plan and follow visualization.
Amateur theater at Vlašim region

The Bachelor thesis deals with the club activities with the focus on an amateur theater in Vlašim town and partly its surrounding areas. This thesis aim is to create a picture of the phenomenon based on the archival (chronicles, memorial books, magazines), evidence and available secondary literature. These findings are confronted with the view of Teatrology (especially contained in the Dějiny českého divadla III and IV). The thesis includes table annexes.

Its aim is to analyze the queer and campy aspects of the representations of gays in the mainstream plays and uncover the principles of creation of the gay character in the structure of dramatic Arts. The results of analysis explain the integrative mode of representation of gays in Czech and Slovak contemporary plays.
The Art of Living Word

In the first part of my thesis which consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical - I concentrate upon the ways of "word reviving" through human voice, speech and their artistic ways of expression, namely declamation, recitation, artistic recitation - where beside structuring of recitation I focus on collective recitation. Interpretation is a part of meaningful work with the word. I deal with its meaning from the point-of-view of its relationship with literary work. I deal with the concept of poetry and theatre, for closer specification of theatre form of poetry theatre and for fuller understanding of its content. I focus on the issue of poetry theatre, as an independent theatre form which has developed in the Central European region, especially in the non-professional theatre, in certain theoretical anchorages and historical connections. I mention a nationwide competition of artistic word and poetry theatres - Hviezdoslavov Kubin - especially with the children poetry theatre, within the category of children reciting groups. And last but not least, in the second part of my thesis I concentrate on the creative process with a children group, on the possibility of working with lyrical text.
Art from the Site - Field Research and Its Staging Strategies

This bachelor's thesis deals with theater production that is based on previous field research. In this work I reflect and analyze the theatrical production of "Marie to dala. Jak to dá? ty?" which was my bachelor's production. I break down the individual phases of creation and the work method. Main emphasis is placed on working with sources during the creative process and on theatrical creation in non-theatrical spaces.
Deaf in Slovakia pantomime

Bachelor thesis titled Deaf in Slovakian pantomime, with the tagline Theatre of Quiet Sparks, discusses the use of mime in dramatic education of deaf but also their creation that is represented by artists of Silent Sparks Theatre. A substantial part of the thesis is the view of the teaching activities and the use of mime as an educational method drama by therapists and educators. Based on watching the performances and interviews with deaf actors I got the opportunity to compare the uptake and use of pantomime at present. Finding common and distinctive characters by expressing silent art is enriching knowledge for hearing and deaf actors. With searching for these characters I got forthcoming help from artistic director of the theater Quiet Sparks Peter Vrťo. The work contains many quotes from interviews i have been given by the members of Silent Sparks Theatre. Overview and description of the creation of a single professional deaf theater in Slovakia, through the eyes of a professional mime and disinterested spectator is the second part of the thesis. Interviews and meetings with deaf actors were for me as the author bachelor thesis huge enrichment not only of a professional but also personal terms.
