The role of radiologist assistant in the examination of kidneys and urinary tract using imaging methods
Bayerová, Vendula ; Adla, Theodor (referee) ; Suchánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
The kidneys are the most important authorities of the urinary tract. Disorders of urinary tract must be timely and properly diagnosed to determine the appropriate therapy. The most common imaging method indicated in urology is sonography. Other methods used for testing the kidneys and urinary tract include intravenous excretory urography, computed tomography and additional examinations such as excretory voiding cystouretrography, magnetic resonance imaging or renal scintigraphy. Diagnostic radiologic technologist is responsible for high quality images with the smallest dose of radiation. Good communication helps patients overcome fear of examinations, patients feel comfortable and better cooperate with the medical staff. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Subject: Fast swimming of visual impaired people focused on performance in S12 and S13 class men. Objective: The main goal of this Diploma Thesis is to find out why top male swimmers with more serious visual impairments in the category S12 get on the same or better performance than male swimmers in category SI3, who suffers from less serious disorders. Methods: Data used in this work are based on questionnaire research (non-standard questionnaire own construction by author of Diploma Thesis). Is concerned about empirical research which is categorized to observation class. We have chosen combination of comparative research with an interrogation about views as a research type. We have found out differences between categories S12 and S13 in comparative research. In interrogation on views we were interested about opinions by national trainers of visual impaired swimmers from 55 countries. Results: We applied 55 national trainers of visual impaired swimmers for cooperation on this research. Results used in this work are based on answers from ten of them. Swimming is a conformable sport, where people with visual impairment categorized into S12 and S13 class can easily compete with healthy population. There are not big differences in seriousness of visual impairments of athletes in swimming between...

Problems of using information sources in the academic environment
Harant, Petr ; Sklenák, Vilém (advisor) ; Šubrta, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with problems of exploiting electronic information sources. Defines main difficulties in which can students, producers, providers (libraries) and experts or teachers run into. Thesis focuses on particular problems and suggests possible improvements. For defining problems and finding possible solutions author cooperated with specialists from information domain specialists, who made (in cooperation with author) a list of problems, which should be solved for better exploatation of information sources. Specialist also introduced some solutions which are currently in development. Thesis is divided into two parts, first is more theoretical and introduces main concepts (information, information need, information behavior and information literacy), techniques for browsing and searching through informational sources. Also multidomain database Proquest 5000 is discussed. Second part focuses on particular problems and possible solutions for searching in electronic information sources.

Mpembe effect - reality or fiction? (Hysteresis by water freezing).
Böhm, Pavel ; Obdržálek, Jan (advisor) ; Rotter, Miloš (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to review theoretically and experimentally so-called Mpemba eect, where the initially hot water freezes sooner than the initially cold one. Based upon already published theoretical and experimental works, a list of circumstances possibly supporting this phenomenon was created and discussed. Some situations were veried experimentally. These experiments were carried out partly in laboratory using small amounts of distilled water (less than 1 ml), partly in "kitchen conditions" using the tap water (about 200 ml) and a commercial home refrigerator. The time of freezing dened by freezing of the entire body of water was measured using the inection points of cooling curves. Unlikely to the Mpemba eect (and likely to the usual expectations), usually the sample of cold water freezes sooner than the hot one. The Mpemba eect occured rarely, mostly when the cooler was covered by the layer of the snow and the hot vessel could melt through it to reach better thermal contact than the cold vessel. Other observed cases were mostly inconclusive.

Migration policies and security in Germany and the EU-border control dilemmas in the 21st century
Bürkl, Noémie ; Drulák, Petr (advisor) ; Kolenovská, Daniela (referee)
This thesis takes up the intimate link between migration realities and the necessity to ensure security on the territory of nation states. Unluckily, migration has the same effect as international terrorism, i.e. blurring the borders between an external and international security dimension. Therefore migration management is often understood as migration control. But the security dimension of migration gets sometimes too predominant, neglecting human rights of individual migrants. National policies are influenced by a wide range of actors within the society, who contribute to focusing the debate more on the integration rather than the control dimension, even if the majority of public opinion has anti-immigrant positions. Germany will provide the case study for analysing the national level. An economics, laws and politics triangle provides the basic analytical framework. The emergence of a securitised migration approach on the EU-level is linked to the willingness of member states to cooperate on this sensitive issue. Other cooperation processes occur outside the EU framework, but it is generally not less focused on security and control. Illegal migration is particularly outlined here, even if it is extremely difficult to get statistical data for scientific foundation. Criminal networks are also often...

Attachment in early adolescence and its relations to behaviour disorders
KOLÁŘOVÁ, Šárka
My thesis aims to prove the hypothesis that there is an influence of an attachment organization on the development of an emotionally stable personality. According to the model of development psychopathology a secure attachment organization constitutes a protective factor and is associated with a desirable development of an individual. It has positive connections with competence in peer relationships, effective self-regulation and better social adaption in early adolescence. An insecure attachement represents a specific vulnerability for further development of a child and it shows links with lower social competence, less effective emotional regulation and social adaption or with psychic disorders. The practical part of this thesis focuses on findings of correlations between an attachement organization to parents in early childhood and the extent of social adaption (determined by the extent of the occurence of behaviour disorders). From among demographic factors, the effect of age on connections between indicators of emotional attachment, parents{\crq} representation, behaviour strategy and mental defects is investigated. The part of a research sample is made up of children with diagnosed behaviour disorders. The theoretical part covers the problems of attachment and family relations, behaviour disorders and development features of children of a given age category.

Tax deduction for research and development
Švecová, Klára ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Slintáková, Barbora (referee)
Research realised by the public sector leads to new knowledge. To achieve economic growth of the country, it is necessary that the results of such research could be useful for innovation in the private sector. It can be achieved by cooperation of both sectors. The government of the Czech Republic supports such cooperation since 2014, through the option for businesses to include costs of R&D services and intangible results of R&D purchased from public universities or public research institutions in the tax deduction for research and development. It can be also better used by small and medium enterprises, but the total amount of this tax incentive decreased in 2014 as compared with 2013. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the reasons for the low utilization rate of tax deduction for research and development and low levels of cooperation on R&D between enterprises and public sector, primarily universities.

The Segregation in Ferrous Alloys when Casting Heavy Castings
Pernica, Vítězslav ; Čech, Jan (referee) ; Vodárek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Havlíček,, František (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the field of manufacture of heavy steel castings with resulting properties which are influenced by long solidification time. During the long solidification time a segregation process of additives in the steel occurs which results in numerous metallurgical defects. The work was intended to observe the macrosegregation effects in the wall of a heavy experimental steel casting respectively a part of a real superheavy casting intended for cement furnaces (weight 210 t). The steel casting for the research was manufactured in the joint-stock company of VHM where such heavy castings are commonly produced for the market. The supplied piece of the steel casting was cut into the smaller pieces for the better examination. The examination resulted in information about the casting macrostructure and chemical heterogeneity of chosen elements in the casting wall. The heterogeneity of the chosen elements (C, Mn, Si, Cr, S, P) is clearly shown in the worked out visual concentration maps. Based on the experimental data the measured results of segregations were confronted with the results of segregation modelling with the use of the commercial simulation software ProCAST. It resulted in the conclusion that the prediction of segregations is not in accordance with the reality. Furthermore, the results from the experimental casting are shortly compared with previously manufactured castings of the same type and the results summarizing the found range of macrosegregations of the tested sample are interpreted in the work conclusion.

Film Cooperative, Version 2.0: Searching for the Form
Reichová, Tereza ; Felcman, Jakub (advisor) ; KUBICA, Petr (referee)
This thesis with the sumptuous working title Film Cooperative, Version 2.0 is the result of my two-year background research for the purpose of establishing a cooperative entity. I proceed from the generally positive perception of present cooperativism abroad but I apply my research on the specific situation in the Czech Republic. Although it is marked by a rich cooperative history during the so called “First Republic,” the current approach to the cooperativist model is rather negative particularly due to the adverse role that collectivization played in the second half of the 20th century. Therefore I focus on cases from the Czech context, both from the past and present. Since film cooperativism has not yet taken roots in our country, we would be its pioneers. In my work I therefore look for past and present models from other sectors that could help stimulate it. I conclude my thesis by inspiration from alternative models of thinking about the world where finance is not the driving model but a carrier into a better world.
