History of Artificial Intelligence - Neural Networks
Šuchman, Ondřej ; Jirků, Petr (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
The main aim of my bachelor thesis is to map historical development of neural networks from the beginning (first mathematical model of neuron from 1943) to present and application of neural networks to "intelligent" devices, which can recognize the patterns, graphical data or convert English written text to the oral form (NETtalk). I have carefully studied the literature named in the chapter "Literatura a zdroje" in order to achieve this aim. In the first charter there is the theoretical survey about the field of artificial intelligence and neural networks. Then the thesis is well-arranged to five periods, which were important for neural networks in either good or bad way. To the most important discoveries are dedicated more space and there is mentioned their functionality and using possibilities. There is not enough space on this thesis to cover all the neural networks ever made. The aim of the thesis is to demostrate certain kinds of networks, their first usage, the most important algorithms and also to mention the significant applications of neural networks.

Návrh rámce pro monitoring sociálních médií a klíčových ukazatelů výkonnosti pro společnost působící na trhu vlasové kosmetiky
Maurer, Julia Elisabeth ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Roscher, Katharina (referee)
This work reviews the current literature and application methods of strategic KPI frameworks, KPI definition and measurement, target setting and benchmarking for social networks based on journals, books and whitepapers while including an interview with a social media agency. In a second step, the acquired knowledge is applied on a case study for a salon haircare company. The conclusions are based on in-company experts in the field, external social media agencies and an internal survey. Based on a behavioral survey, the requirements and gaps in the organization are identified. This leads to the application of a theoretical framework on the case company and a suitable definition of KPIs. The final delivery includes an analytical tool measuring all KPIs. Finally, all KPIs are related to targets and benchmarks from industry, social network sites, competitors and historical data. The final results are easily transferrable to other players in the industry.

Network attached storage
Pavlíček, Ladislav ; Vokoun, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pavlík, Jan (referee)
The thesis explores the subject of data storage options, focusing on Network Attached Storage (NAS) solution and its potential target users. The theoretical part of the thesis reviews the overall data storage solutions used in the past, compared to the current ones. The further description of NAS is provided, highlighting its specifications and possibilities for use. In addition, the analysis of different methods of data storing on a hard disc drive is conducted and resulting data reliability is examined and assessed. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to recommend NAS for suitable user groups based on their needs and habits. To gather relevant data and identify those characteristics, the research method of survey based data collection is being used. As a result, the particular potential user group for NAS, currently unaware of its benefits and uses, is identified. This group is characterized by its online content use and consumption patterns in areas of video and music content consumption, photo sharing, file backing-up habits, cloud usage, etc. Furthermore, the thesis expands on the potential benefits for those users and provides practical suggestions for use in regard to their identified needs. In the last part of the thesis, collected survey data are being compared to the related national survey data provided by the Czech Statistical Office. The concluding analysis reveals a trend of decreasing interest between year 2015 and 2016 for using cloud data storage solutions in general, mainly in terms of storing and sharing of photos, movies and music. Finally, the limitations of survey data collection are being discussed, focusing on particular internal and external factors which could have influenced the survey results.
