Performance measuring of individuals with physical handicap
Vít, Ondřej ; Kálal, Jan (advisor) ; Radvanský, Jiří (referee)
The thesis is focused on the measurement of the energy consumption during the locomotion of the mobility disabled (riding a wheelchair a walking with 2 point support - crutch). The probands were handicapped by partial amputation of lower limb based on the vascular cause which represents approximately 90 percent of all amputations done in the Czech Republic. The thesis also presents a brief classification of amputations according to the extent of the separation, the history of amputations and the main etiologic factors leading to amputation. In the result section the measured data are discussed. In the last part of the thesis, the conclusions are discussed and compared to information available from similar studies. International Power Trading Law
Vaculíková, Klára ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Zavadilová, Marta (referee) ; Poláček, Bohumil (referee)
Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague, Department of Commercial Law Dissertation topic: International Power Trading Law Author: Mgr. Klára Vaculíková March 2011 The purpose of the thesis was legal analysis of the power trading in the today's global world. This entails mainly the discipline of international private law. Power trading, in particular transactions on sale and purchase of electric power with an international element are subject to general rules of international private law. Nevertheless, the exceptional nature of electric power and of its disposition described in the thesis makes the area of power trading quite special sub-discipline of international private law. In the same time, very complex and significantly relevant part of the power trading, which the study cannot avoid to consider, is the regulatory framework, within which this specific sort of business is carried on. After introductory Chapter One, the thesis describes characteristic issues in the international power trading, in its Chapter Two. Chapter Three provides necessary basic conceptual classification of the given topic within the system of law. Although the main topic of this thesis is the core of the power trading business, meaning the private transactions related to electric power and their analysis, fair part...

Generation of computer program for specific-heat analysis
Majer, Peter ; Ježek, Lukáš (referee) ; Javorský, Pavel (advisor)
This work is about to design and implement the speci c-heat analysis application. The application consists of two parts: the rst one provides for data manipulation, the second one plots a graph. The data manipulation part resembles a spreadsheet program - each column in a dataset stands for one measurement. Columns containing a temperature data could be used for a speci c-heat calculation. This calculation is based on this model functions: conduction electrons consideration, phonon contribution and Schottky contribution. It is also possible to arrange your own formulas by using basic mathematical operations (namely summation, substraction, multiplication and division). Fitting data to the selected model is also possible. Levenberg-Marquardt and simplex method are being used for it. Hamiltonian matrix used for energy levels calculations of magnetic ions in crystalline electric elds could also be calculated. The application is written in C# programming language.

Electricity Market in the Czech Republic, its definition
Kloubec, Milan ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor) ; Sůva, Jaroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the characterization of the Electricity Market in the Czech Republic and its definition. The main part of the thesis is systematically divided into three chapters, where the first chapter addresses the theoretic framework of market definition and marketing distinctiveness in the Electrical Power Engineering Industry. The second chapter approaches the practical part of the thesis wherein the theory of market definition is applied to the Electricity Market in the Czech Republic. In the process, an in-depth definition of individual market participants, as well as of individual types of electricity deals, is -- among many others -- carried out as well. The third chapter focuses on the definition of the market product, i.e. electricity, and its marketing specifics.

Workplace for reference solar sample testing
Baklík, Radim ; Stojan, Radek (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the physical interpretation of the conversion of light into electrical energy in semiconductor components and principles of functioning of photovoltaic cells. The next section is devoted to the preparation work for the testing of solar photovoltaic reference devices, the methodology of measurement and description of the measurement equipment. The practical part of this thesis is to build a laboratory to determine the possibility of measuring the solar cells during the day and measure of the these cells in laboratory, and also in solar simulator.

Integrální přístup k řešení neferomagnetického elektrodynamického akcelerátoru
Karban, P. ; Doležel, Ivo
The paper deals with the description of dynamic behavior of a nonferromagnetic electrodynamic launcher. Although the problem itself is not new, an innovative item is determination of eddy currents in the launched body based on the integral approach that provides more accurate results than former algorithms of computation based on the FEM or electric circuit techniques. The methodology is illustrated on an example whose results are discussed

Transient Behavior of Active Front-End Rectifier under Unbalanced Voltage Supply
Chomát, Miroslav ; Schreier, Luděk ; Bendl, Jiří
Operation of voltage-source inverter supplied with unbalanced system of voltages is investigated in the paper. This situation can lead to problems in operation of an electric drive as voltage pulsations can arise in the DC-bus. Suitable kontrol methods may be applied to eliminate this effect in the aktive front-end rectifier. The paper particularly focuses on transient processes that accompany operation of the drive. They can be caused by changes in control of the drive, changes in load, or changes in the supply voltages.

Structural versus behavioral remedies in the deregulation of electricity markets: an experimental investigation guided by theory and policy concerns
van Koten, Silvester ; Ortmann, A.
We try to better understand the comparative advantages of structural and behavioral remedies of deregulation in electricity markets, an eminent policy issue for which the experimental evidence is scant and problematic. Specifically, we investigate theoretically and experimentally the effects on competition of introducing a forward market — considered a behavioral remedy by the European Commission.

Jev "zamrzlého pole" v elektricky vodivých médiích, řešený prostředky klasické elektrodynamiky
Doležel, Ivo ; Karban, P. ; Mayer, D. ; Ulrych, B.
The concept "frozen field" is often used in association with behavior of strongly electrically conductive media. Being introduced in astrophysics the phenomenon consists in drift of magnetic field by electrically well conductive medium (plasma or ionized mixture of gas and dust particles) that moves due to some primary mechanism not immediately associated with this magnetic field. This paper presents the description of the effect by means of classical electrodynamics in nonrelativistic medium and its solution in an integral formulation.

Behavior of Electric Arc Inside a Quenching Chamber of High Voltage Circuit Breaker
Aubrecht, Vladimír ; Bušov, B.
A great influence on the switching process is exerted by aerodynamic relations in the quenching chamber, the direct measurement of which is hardly feasible using contemporary techniques. Therefore, the shape of the arc plasma burning between the circuit breaker contacts is scanned with a high-speed camera. The photographs from the high-speed camera represent a time analysis of the studied process, which allows through their digital processing the determination of the time changes of the arc plasma shape.
