Bilingualism in Spain: Spanish (Castilian) and Basque
FILIPOVÁ, Věra
The author of the thesis describes current tendences of the Castilian-basque bilingualism from the linguistic, social and political point of view. After the introduction to the general overview of the linguistic situation in Spain, the author geographically and historically specifies the Basque-speaking area and then she closely deals with the extension, typology, linguistic characteristics of the Basque language in comparison with the Castilian and its historical background. In the second part of the thesis focused on bilingualism, the author first generally identifies this phenomenon with the related problematic issues of its clasification and then she describes in details the bilingulistic scheme of the present Basque country, the evolution of the implementation of the Basque language into the school curriculum and its current position in education against the legislative background; later on the author defines linguistic models of the education system and programmes aimed to support the Basque language and culture in today´s Basque society. In the conclusion of the thesis, the author analyses her own qualitative research conducted among bilingual speakers in the Basque and Navarre Autonomous Communities. The thesis is written in Czech and contains a summary in Spanish.

Environmental gradients in canyon-shaped reservoirs
Stodola, Jakub ; Petrusek, Adam (advisor) ; Seďa, Jaromír (referee)
The occurrence of environmental gradients in canyon-shaped reservoirs is influenced mainly by the size of reservoir and water retention time. The reservoir must be large and deep enough for environmental gradients to occur there. In such reservoirs vertical and horizontal gradients can be found. Presence of vertical gradients in lakes is relatively common, whereas horizontal gradients abound in deep canyon reservoirs. An example is the gradient of nutrients, the quantity of which decreases in the direction from the inflow towards the dam. Vertical abiotic gradients are the same for reservoirs and lakes. These are mainly gradients of light, heat, dissolved and oxygen. Some abiotic horizontal gradients may be present in both to reservoirs and lakes. The abiotic gradients also often affect the biotic ones. For example the gradient of nutrients affects the gradient of all organisms in the reservoir. Each species living in the reservoir prefers different type of environmental conditions, which may be given by a combination of these gradients. The areas preferred by particular cladoceran species can overlap quite extensively. In the Daphnia longispina species complex, co-occurrence of parental species may result in interspecific hybridization, and possibly formation of hybrid zones. The hybrids can often...

Numerical model for the origin of magmatic textures and its application to the Fichtelgebirge/Smrčiny granite batholith
Špillar, Václav ; Dolejš, David (advisor) ; Ježek, Josef (referee) ; Žák, Jiří (referee)
Magmatic processes are major agents responsible for the formation and differentiation of the Earth's crust. In contrast to extensive efforts to improve understanding and utility of igneous geochemistry, physical processes of magma differentiation and solidification remain largely unclear. Large variability of igneous textures provides record of these processes and intensive parameters governing the crystallization. In this thesis, we develop quantitative methods, which allow us to better interpret igneous textures in the framework of physics of solidification. We have developed a new three-dimensional model of crystallization from one- component melt driven by homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation and crystal growth. The predicted textures are quantitatively characterized by crystal size distributions, spatial distribution functions and parameters representing grain contact relationships. The model employs high resolution in a large volume simulation domain in order to produce statistically stable results. Our simulations, performed for various functional forms of nucleation and growth rates with respect to time, imply that (i) crystals are ordered (anti-clustered) on short length scales. This reflects that other crystals already have a finite size at the time of nucleation of younger crystal,...

Annual report, project MPO FR-TI1/574: Optimization of production flow in electron-beam lithography and mastering
Polívka, L. ; Kolařík, Vladimír ; Mikšík, P.
The e-beam writer BS600 is an electron-optical system with a shaped electron beam which was developed and optimized for production of relief microstructures with a sub-micron resolution. The goal of this project period is defined as follows: the extension of previously developed experimental exposure regime with a reduced stamp size should be extended to the production stage such that diffractive structures up to the size of 3 mm x 3 mm could be prepared. The goal was achieved; the results are summarized in this report.

Multidimensional risk measures
Chromíková, Dana ; Kopa, Miloš (advisor) ; Cipra, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with multiperiod risk measures and multiperiod models with these risk measures in the objective are formulated. Multiperiod models consider the possibility of an intermediate actions within the investment horizont and represent the real situation in a better way than one-period models. First the basic properties for one-period risk measures are summarized. Then multiperiod risk measures are de ned and several ways of construction concrete risk measures are discussed as extension of one-period risk measures. Multiperiod portfolio selection mean-risk models with di erent risk measures are formulated, transaction costs are included and short sales are not allowed. Using scenario approach the analysis on real data is performed and optimal strategies for one-period and multiperiod models are compared. A transaction costs e ect on optimal strategy is examined.

Havlíková, Vendula ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Macků, Lucie (referee)
This thesis surveys the development of education programmes variety broadcast by the Czech Television from 1992 to 2010. The main tendencies of pragramme creation are illustrated on the background of specific political, social and technological context characteristic for the Czech Republic in the period concerned. The theoretical part gathers some relevant information from the fields of sociology, psychology and media studies connected to the socialization process, with special focus on children. One separate chapter is then dedicated to the issue of education programme definition, another to the legislative and further social role of the Czech television in relation to education. By means of annual almanacs, papers, PROVYS software system, internal and public documents research, as well as a number of interviews with current or former employees of the Czech television, the empirical part illustrates the development and changes referring to the period studied. The result of this is an extensive image of the main tendencies of television education development produces by groups or centers in charge. The thesis does not give a full-range account of all education programmes shown by the broadcaster, as with regard to the amorphous character of the genre this is not even accomplishable, but attempts to...
