Hynková, Martina ; Havelková, Hana (advisor) ; Oates - Indruchová, Libora (referee)
MARTINA HYNKOVÁ: ‚JINÉ SVĚTY' ŽEN JAZZOVÉ SEKCE V OBDOBÍ TZV. NORMALIZACE ABSTRACT This master thesis deals with the Jazz section of the Musicians' Union in the normalization period. It was an amateur organization which existed from 1971 until 1986. It took an active part in the area of jazz and united an extensive jazz community. The thesis aims at gender aspects of female Jazz section's activities and roles. The research question can be formulated as follows: Which strategies of living did female members of the Jazz section choose during the normalization? The thesis is based on a biographical method consisting of six interviews with former female members of the Jazz section. Those interviews were made via an episodic narrative interview. The author revealed the following strategies of living: accession to the Jazz section community, being an active member of the community, going abroad to visit cultural events, contact with dissent and living in two worlds. Making of these other worlds by female members of the Jazz section thus became strategies of living on their own.

Zahradník, Radek ; Grepl, Robert (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
How is mankind grow older, its knowledge about nature, which in it lives, is getting deeper. Unfortunately human brain in itself became short for solving modern problems and we have to help ourselves with computers and modern computerised methods. But computers themselves can not solve the problems. We need to equip them with adequate software. Goal of this work is to compare Octave and Matlab systems in part of compatibility and in the solvings of practical problems.
THE SHIFTING OF PERSONAL LIMITS
Schmidtmajerová, Johana ; MIKEŠ, Vladimír (advisor) ; TRPIŠOVSKÝ, Lukáš (referee)
In this master thesis, creative process and the process of personal growth and their fusion are dealt with. The thesis is opened with associations and continued with thematic exploration up to reflections upon specific encounters and cooperation on theatre performances and other project that I have participated in as an actress. Through the unanswered questions posed in this thesis I constantly remind myself of the fact that acting is a process of constant searching, which, however, does not need to resemble blind stumbling through the unknown and in fact, in my opinion, it should not. In my work, I try to articulate what I have been able to uncover about myself and the creative process as an actress and so develop systematically in my profession, both through work on myself and within a group. I consider feedback to be a necessary step towards professionalism and an important contribution for shifting personal limits. This thesis is concluded with a reflection of my internship at the Portuguese Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa ? Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema.
Day care as an alternative for preschool children´s care in Germany
MASSET, Ljuba Natalie
This thesis focuses on the day care system in Germany. It aims at determining the benefits and shortcomings of teaching processes in day care from the perspective of parents and teachers. It also aims to compare the process of social integration between children educated in day care and children educated in kindergarten. The theoretical aspect of this thesis focuses on the issues of institutional care of young children, its opportunities, and potential risks, including the various forms this care is carried out. Relevant sections of policies and legislations for preschool education in Germany are discussed in relation to the issues, opportunities and risks identified. Recommended conditions of education in kindergartens and day care facilities are also proposed, including the number of children in groups, or joining the children in age-homogeneous or age-heterogeneous groups. In the practical section, interviews were carried out with teachers and parents about their views and satisfaction regarding the institution their children attend. Several methodologies were considered, such as interviews and surveys, and interviewing was chosen to obtain deeper insight. The gathered information was qualitatively processed. A short conclusion of findings learned from parents and teachers should be provided.

Sociology of Food - Vegetarianism as a Specific Phenomen
LAPEŠOVÁ, Miroslava
The Diploma Thesis "Sociology of Food - Vegetarianism as a Specific Phenomenon" consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part aims at the basic information relating to the sociology of food and the lifestyle. The consequent chapters deal with vegetarianism. The practical part brings the presentation of the results reached. The primary data collection utilized the quantitative research, the questioning method and the questionnaire technique. The questionnaire was distributed, in particular, via the Internet, in collaboration with the discussion forums of healthy diet and the vegetarianism forums. Also, within the Yoga system, in a daily life it was spread into all the Yoga Centres in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the questionnaire was spread in the healthy diet shops and in the healthy canteen in České Budějovice. The research set was made up by vegetarians from all over the Czech Republic regardless of age, sex or any other criteria. In total 421 questionnaires were returned to be utilized for the research, however, 74 of them could not be used at all due to the incorrect or insufficient data completion or illegibility. Thus the research utilized 347 questionnaires, i.e. 82.4 %. The aim of the Diploma Thesis was to ascertain how the phenomenon of nourishment influences the lifestyle of a vegetarian. Consequently, other two goals were set. Partial goal 1: Monitoring of vegetarianism within the Czech Republic from the point of view of vegetarians. Partial goal 2: Description of contemporary trends within vegetarian nourishment. Evaluation of positives and negatives of such nourishment. I assume the goals of the Thesis have been fulfilled. In connection with the goal of the Thesis the hypothesis arose: Vegetarianism as the choice of nourishment is simultaneously a choice of a specific lifestyle (e.g. the style of housing, leisure time, so-called life philosophy, etc.). This hypothesis was acknowledged from the results ascertained. The Diploma Thesis results can serve for the further research and a wider exploration of this field. Furthermore, they will utilised for the needs of the vegetarian centres and, thanks to the scope of the research set, they can be intended to be published in professional periodicals.
Interest and utilization of alternative methods during a childbirth
ZWETTLEROVÁ, Andrea
A dictionary of foreign words defines the term ``alternative{\crqq} as a choice from two or more options. This means that the word alternative means a certain possibility to choose. The term alternative methods of child birth responds to the situation which existed until recently, when individual wishes of a woman in the course of child delivery were not respected and interventions were made even in case of physiological and normally developing deliveries. In my bachelor thesis I have investigated whether expecting mothers are interested in alternative methods of child birth and whether they have opportunities to use them. In order to collect information to achieve my objective and to process the data I have used a combination of quantitative and qualitative survey, by means of questionnaires and interviews. The data were collected in the hospital in Jindřichův Hradec. The surveyed group were pregnant women planning to give birth at the maternity ward in the hospital in Jindřichův Hradec and midwifes working at the delivery room of the same hospital. The survey was based on three objectives, three hypotheses and three survey questions. The survey has shown that all the objectives have been met, the hypotheses were confirmed and answers to the survey questions were found. The acquired data may be primarily useful for students of the Faculty of Health and Social Studies and for midwifes interested in alternative methods of child birth. Last but not least, the results may be also useful for the maternity ward of the hospital in Jindřichův Hradec to find out which alternative methods of child birth are on demand among pregnant women. The today´s modern obstetrics stresses the childbirth, among other things, as a very special event in the family´s life. Memories of this beautiful experience should be kept not only by the child´s mother but also by the closest family
