Sinumerik 840D control system for programming of blanks for gear manufacturing
Havlát, Pavel ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the use of the Sinumerik 840D control system for programming of blanks for gear manufacturing. The first part of the thesis is focused on analysis of machinability of the material followed by experimental testing of machinability of material 16MnCr5. An experimental evaluation of the effect of cutting parameters was carried out to force load of semi roughing cutting tool CoroTurn 300. In the next part of the thesis there is a technical documentation of gearing parts, for which a NC program is created. Finally, the possibilities of using the Sinumerik 840D control system are listed and demonstrated by workshop-oriented programming of the considered components for the SP 280 SY turning center.
Optimalizace parametrů obrábění materiálů na bázi dřeva
Šebelová, Eva
The work is focused on the optimization of cutting conditions for wood-based materials machining where the cutting conditions are thus selected to ensure the most efficient machining of the product. Cutting conditions parameters evaluation is based on experimental assessment of interaction between the cutting tool and machined material using a variable cutting parameters. However, experiments needed to obtain a sufficient amount of data are very time consuming, expensive and material consuming as well. It is necessary to consider life-time of the cutting tool, as well as the type of material and its suitability for machining and then to determine the optimal cutting conditions. The aim of this work was to create a new approach for efficient machining. It is based on the methodical procedure of the optimal cutting conditions determination for wood-based materials using knowledge about their properties in relation to the machining process.
Technology of CNC production of aluminium alloy part
Novotný, Michal ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis Technology of CNC production of aluminium alloy part is based on the particular specification of the company FP cz s.r.o. The core of the work lies in the proposal of production technology of the given part made from aluminium alloy which is machined by two universal CNC lathes with operating system FANUC. There is an introduction to the issue of characteristics and machinability of aluminium and its alloys because of coherence of the thesis. Practical part is focusing on the particular proposal of production technology which consists of the casting analysis, method of clamping on the chosen machines, choice of tools and verification of the production. There can be achieved effective production and significant time reduction with proposed technology.
Solution technology of part "víko" in the condition of a middle-sized company
Kavan, Petr ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis is concerned with evaluation of actual production technology of part “hydraulics cover” and with design of new, progressive variation machining of this part. Solution is focused at first on rationalization of cutting tools and choice of suitable cutting tools. An effort is to achieve shorter production time and decrease costs on production of component. With this problem is related alteration of technological documentation and technical economic evaluation for determination return rate of investments into progressive cutting tools.
Characterization of the machinability of cast iron for the RENAULT’s brake discs
Ceyte, Benoit ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This document is final report of an expertise project lead for ALPHA Company. The project focuses on the machinability characterization and comparison of various lamellar cast irons metallurgies. The comparison is performed in order to improve the casting process and the cast irons composition of brake and hub disk, to increase their machinability. The characterization of the metallurgies was made by tool life test with measurements of the cutting forces. Hardness and surface roughness measurements were performed too. Several Silicon nitride tools were tested. First an adjustment test has been performed to validate the machining parameters, and the methodology of characterization. Secondly, a reference test on Alpha’s cast iron brought reference data for the comparison of the various metallurgies to be tested. This test has improved the method of characterization. Cutting forces recording appeared as the most relevant and irrelevant measurements such as surface roughness were eliminated from the method. A test performed on a second cast iron showed that it has a lower machinability. Project succeeded to characterize and compare cast irons’ machinabilities, allowing the improvement of the composition by further tests.

Manufacture and structure of compacted graphite cast iron
Viskupič, Adam ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
This publication conducts a search on the topic of manufacture, structures and the possibilities of producing castings from compacted graphite iron. It contains a description of the mechanical, physical and technological properties of compacted graphite iron. This thesis also reviews the charge materials, melting furnaces, a methods of inoculation and modifying compacted graphite iron.
On the analysis of spring steel machinability after a heat treatment
Vašíček, František ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the machinability spring steel after heat treatment. Brief research is devoted to the machinability of steel with a focus on spring steel, various influences acting on the material and selected types of heat treatment. On the example of deteriorated workability of Disc spring are described methods of material analysis, performace and influences on machinability. By assessment of the results of the analysis were identified possible causes of deterioration of machinability from view of heat treatment – soft annealing. The final part discusses possible corrective actions in the annealing process and proposes a non-destructive method for controlling material structures.
Cutting operation of cover parts.
Kobliha, Lukáš ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
In This thesis is elaborated a proposal for the manufacture of specified parts of the cover. The The work contains an analysis of components and analysis of possible technologies usable for the production, including concretely selected machines and tools. Elaborated is also a technological process, manual for to work on a lathe, and the theoretical number of units produced per year, depending on the shift working consumption indexable cutting inserts for turning.
Cutting conditions analysis of aluminium and its alloys
Jelínek, Adam ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (advisor)
Machining aluminum and aluminum alloy is a problem which is solved here. The most importent problems are a good tool selection the material and the subsequent elimination of the machined material sticking on the tool. Other important factor is to select the optimum technological parameters, which will be the most efficient for machining.
