Waste management in Czech Republic

This diploma thesis discusses issues of waste production and related issues of waste management in the Czech Republic. Wastes are generated almost every day as a result of the most of human activities. The main objectives of waste management policy are the effort to regulate the amount of produced waste, increase the utilization of waste instead of its disposal and especially eliminate the negative impacts on the environment, natural resources and human health. These objectives are enforced especially through legislative instruments. Theoretical part of this thesis is a comparison of findings and knowledge gained by the studying of literature and other relevant sources from the area of production and management of wastes. The practical part of this thesis deals with the analysis of waste production and waste management in the Czech Republic in selected time frame and includes a prognosis of future development. The basis of the practical part are statistical data, processed with chosen statistic methods, especially with the analysis of time series. Finally, a survey about the waste management is carried out with the aim of finding the current state in the field of waste sorting.

Inventarizace zařízení na nakládání s odpady ve městě Brně

This bachelor's thesis deals with waste treatment problematics. It contains inventory of waste treatment facilities in Logistics center in Brno-Líšeň which is part of SITA CZ a.s. It contains description of legal environment and terms that are related with waste and waste management. There are described possibilities how to deal with waste and statistics of waste production. Next part contains history of company and determines the current status in relation to the location and facility grounds, incl. objects. There is also described portfolio of provided services and accepted waste. Inventory analysis shows their facilities, inputs, outputs and vehicles for collecting waste. Finally it evaluates efficiency of this Logistics center and suggests actions for improvement.

The diploma thesis is focused on OSMONT s.r.o.'s waste management system analysis. Basic terms related to valid legal and normative regulations in the area of waste management are characterised within the paper. Under the thesis assignment, waste type and composition is specified, reflecting the production process of the company. The paper also mentions operation and running specifics of production processes within the business entity. Based on the waste management analysis, an evaluation of the current system was conducted. In conclusion, practical recommendations for changes and improvement of the current waste disposal system in OSMONT s.r.o. were proposed.

Topic of a diploma thesis is ,,Analysis of waste management in enterprise Mubea - HZP, s.r.o." situated in city of Prostějov. The first part is dedicated to the literature review and legislative requirements generally connected to waste management in Czech Republic. The second part include summary of methods of analysis, data collection and explanation. In the next chapter company introduction and general description of manufacturing is mentioned. The last chapter contains the founded information about waste management system and their interpretation, summarizes the findings and presents some possible suggestions to improve the system.

We will classify the waste distribution to the categories, we will focus for the legislatives and the standards of waste management. Also we will preview the production statistics and waste logistic in the Czech Republic and EU. We will focus even for the waste processing like a material for the energy production and development of waste economy hypothesis.

Regional Characteristics of Municipal Waste

This thesis describes the current state of waste management in Czech Republic and assesses the impact of small businesses on the production of municipal waste in various Czech regions. The main objective of this thesis is to create a model of production of municipal waste with a focus on so-called commercial waste or an industrial waste, which is part of the waste, produced from municipal waste management systems. The work is based on statistical data of municipal waste production, statistics on the representation of small-scale industries of the Czech municipalities, and uses correlative and regressive analyses.

The Production of Wastes in Nové Město na Moravě

The work deals with the analysis of waste site in town Nové Město na Moravě. The theoretical part contains a general view of waste management, distributed according to different perspectives, basic concepts and waste management legislation. The practical part is the analysis of waste in this area in 2009, 2010 and 2011, which is supplemented by processing the results of a questionnaire created by me.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the technology management of biodegradable waste in the micro-region "Náměšťsko". This work is deal with different kinds of biodegradable waste. The following is a description of the technology management of the waste in the region. The information was received with literary sources and from representatives of each municipality of micro-region. In work I have focused on CMC composting in Náměšť nad Oslavou and its equipment. The result of research is the evaluation of the questionnaires that were distributed to both the communities and the city Náměšť nad Oslavou. In thesis are describe methods of management of biodegradable waste from the point of view of citizens and various statutory bodies.

Analýza systému nakládání s odpadem v Heřmanově Městci

The aim of the thesis was to propose possible measures to optimize existing waste management system in Hermanuv Mestec based on the description and analysis of the current situation. In the theoretical sphere the thesis works with basic terms of the current Czech legislative norms and regulations. The geographical position, city planning solution and demographic evolution were characterized. The whole system ensuring waste management in the investigated area was described and its compositions were specified, including their production practices and quantification of economic costs. To analyze the issue of city's waste management system the SWOT analysis and the method of comparison were employed. Recommendations, based on the conducted analysis and findings, were presented for optimizing current system of the organizational sphere, personnel management and financial parts.
