Numerical Modelling of Energy Losses in Pipes

The bachelor´s thesis deals with numerical modelling of energy losses in pipes in 2D. It shows the process of creation of mathematical model, used mathematical equations and numerical methods of their solution. The theory is applied on the creation of pipe model and their energy losses.
Evaluation of Smap3D software as a tool for design of evaporation system

The main goal of the master thesis is an evaluation of a software package Smap 3D Plant Design in design of evaporation technology, specifically 3D of the pipeline network and its subsequent documentation. The thesis describes evaporation technology in general, then the evaporator testing site in Laboratory of Energy Intensive Processes in NETME Centre is presented, where pipeline network needs to be designed. In the next part a reference 3D model was created as well as a documentation using SolidWorks routing. Subsequently, an equivalent 3D model was created using Smap 3D Plant Design – Piping and a documentation was created using Smap 3D Plant Design – Isometric. Finally, these two methods of creating pipeline were compared to each other, and recommended method was chosen.
Building heating gas boiler and solar water heating

Proposal for heating and water warming of rehabilitation centre. The first part of the project analyses given topic, the matter of calculating heat losses and heating elements proposal. It also deals with heat source for heating, fuel for boilers and condensation boilers functioning. The second part covers the technical design of the theme and the third part deals with the solar system.
Heating of building with air conditioning

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to design a heating system and hot water heating for a newly built wellness hotel placed on the beach nearby reservoir Vranov. The theoretical part is focused on the build heating with solid fuels specifically pellets. In the calculation part is processed the proposal of heating systems, the heat sources, the water heater and other equipment. The last part of the project includes a technical report and drawing documentation at the level of implementation of the project.
Heating of a residential building

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to design heating and hot water production in an apartment block. The theoretical part is based on the topic of the preparation of hot water. The calculation part includes the calculation of heat losses, the suggestion of heat transfer surfaces, the dimensioning of pipes and the suggestion of the heat source for heating and warm water. Gas condensing boilers are applied as a heat source. They are located in the technical room. The preparation of hot water and the heat consumption measurements in flats are solved by district heating substations.
Heating of the Multifunctional Building

Flow has to be the same on each nozzle and it has to be done for our given dimensionsThe right pump has to be chosen, but it cannot be done without proper knowledge of theroy of hydrodynamic resistence, basic hydromechanics and characteristics of the valves.
Chimneys draft and connecting fuel appliances

Diploma thesis deals with problematics of offtake of flue gasses. In experimental part there was measured compound of flue gasses by analyzator of flue gates. Aplication is a project of heating of object of The Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno. Project solves design of heating system, flue and of source of heat. Heating area is created by floor convectors,towel rails and radiators. Source of heat is designed in two variants : as a cascade of condensation boilers and as a cascade of low-temperature boilers.
Calculation of steam pipeline

This thesis describes issues related to design and structural analysis of steam pipeline. Analysis are done by using two different software program – AutoPIPE and Ansys. Issues related to pipeline support system and thermal expansion are solved by using AutoPIPE. Structural analysis results are evaluated in accordance with ČSN EN 13 480 code.
Technical infrastructure in cities

This bachelor's thesis consists of three parts: Theory, calculation and project. Theory deals with possibilities of laying utilities into the ground, collectors, technical corridors, technical cannals, basement manifolds and to the overhead lines. Furthermore, the issue of coordination between utilities and greenery both in the Czech Republic and abroad is also addresed. The calculation part includes water demand, rainwater quantity and waste water balance calculations. Project contains the accompanying report, technical report and drawings. It focuses on the Jircháře street located in Staré Brno, where a new apartment building has already been built, for which new relocation of utilities from Jircháře street to Kopečná street had to be made.
