Silver legacy of EURO 1996 during the following European Football Championships

The bachelor's thesis "Silver legacy of EURO 1996 during the following European Football Championships" deals with informing how selected Czech dailies reported on the 1996 European Football Championship during the following five European football championships. In selected tournaments, the text follows the frequency, and which iconic moments and personalities were most referred to in connection with the 1996 European Championship. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical first describes the relationship between sport and the media, which is important for the correct understand of the bachelor's thesis. Further, the introductory part deals with aspects of how sports success is displayed, which is in fact the subject of research in the bachelor's thesis. In the next phase, he describes the history of European football championships. This context is also suitable for understanding a successful sporting event in a broader context. The second part of the thesis describes the definition of research and the methods used, then the introduction of the researched periodicals and the coding book itself with selected analytical variables. Analysis of Effects of the European Monetary Union on Merger and Acquisition Activity in Europe David Přerovský Abstract The aim of this thesis is to, firstly, analyze effects of the creation of the European Monetary Union (EMU) on cross-border merger and acquisition activity in Europe, and, secondly, to investigate whether joining the EMU after it had been established results in higher M&A activity. Our research utilizes the difference-in-differences and difference in difference in differences approaches in which we compare aggregate M&A activity in new adopters of the euro to that of a control country, whose aggregate M&A activity had followed a similar trend up until the adoption. These methods allow us to account for country-specific trends in M&A activity and the for the phenomenon of M&A waves. Our results show no evidence that creation of the EMU caused higher M&A activity among the members or higher M&A activity in general. For later joiners, no evidence of higher M&A activity as a result of adopting the euro is found either.

We were also interested about Czech public's opinions to the future of the of the united Europe. The part of this survey was also question about adoption of the euro.
The impact of international trade on Slovak economy

The bachelor thesis provides an overview of the international trade of Slovakia and its impact on the economic growth. It determines the relationship between Slovak export and import on the GDP and studies if these variables influence each other. This investigation is made according to the econometric analysis measured in programme Gretl. It also describes how the Euro adoption in year 2009 affected the trade and the GDP and in what dimensions. Afterwards, it analyses the trade from the commodity and territorial point of view.
Dopad zavedenia eura na turistický sektor na Slovensku

This thesis researched possible impacts on tourism industry after adopting Euro in Slovakia. Tourism indicators which the study was focused on are international tourism receipts and non-residential arrivals. Firstly, the general impacts of Euro adoption are discussed with focused on the whole industry. Secondly, general information about tourism in Slovakia is provided. The research was based on Synthetic Control Method, creating model of synthetic Slovakia that never adopted Euro in 2009. The differences between real Slovakia and synthetic Slovakia are described and discussed. On one hand the non-residential arrivals have fallen significantly in comparison to synthetic model. On the other tourism receipts remained almost the same. The changes in economic structure of tourists are probable explanation of the differences. Proposed suggestions for countries which are likely to adopt Euro in the future are made in the end.

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the Czech Republic's readiness to adopt the euro. Within this objective, the concept of monetary union, the European Central Bank, is explained and describes the historical development that was behind the emergence of the eurozone. It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of adopting the euro. The readiness to adopt the euro is assessed using the nominal and real convergence criteria, which are first theoretically characterized and subsequently evaluated using the available data. The last chapter deals with the opinion of citizens of the Czech Republic and representatives of the current and past governments of the Czech Republic, who are interested in adopting the euro

The principle of this thesis is the creation of communication strategy for a possible referendum. The bachelor thesis is based on experience from Slovakia and Estonia where the euro has already been accepted. The bachelor thesis also fo-cuses on the course of the communication campaign before the Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and Brexit. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a communication campaign and budget of this campaign.

The access to the monetary union has many advantages for the country. A foreign trade is the most reflected indicator of the euro impact on the economy of a certain country. It has an important role in every economy. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the effects of the euro on the development of the foreign trade of euro area countries. At the same time the main aim is to confirm or refute the fact, that the introduction of the euro is capable of influencing the development of export efficiency of individual euro area economies. The theoretical part explains the concepts of the payment balance and also the assessment of the situation before and after the introduction of euro.

BOHAC, P., The issue of the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic and its impact on the business sector. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The aim of this final bachelor thesis is to quantify the benefits and costs caused by the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic and how large this implementation affects individual business sectors. Entry into the euroarea gives businesses several benefits but also costs that affect their management. The identification of possible benefits and costs resulting from the introduction of the euro has been developed in similar studies on the effects of the introduction of the euro. The work divides the potential direct benefits that occur immediately after the introduction of the euro and the indirect ones that are here after a certain time, but they may never occur here. Quantification of costs and revenues is created for 2017. This work can be used as a benchmark or recommendation for business decision-making, which of these options would be appropriate for the coming years and would bring to the business sector.
