Template assisted electrodeposition of multilayer nanostructures
Teoretická část pojednává o základech elektrochémie a porézní anodické aluminy.
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as a nanostructured bioelectrodes characterization method
Vrbová, Eva ; Urbánková, Kateřina (referee) ; Hrdý, Radim (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals of nanostructured surfaces, nanoparticles and electrochemical characterization methods such as cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The aim of this thesis is a theoretical research issues of production and characterization nanostructured modified electrodes. The practical part is the production of biomodified nanostructured electrodes by anodi- zation W/Al layers with galvanic deposition of gold or deposition of mercury, a modifi- cation of the electrodes by 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid and by bovine serum albumin (BSA). The thesis includes SEM images of nanostructured electrodes contact angle mea- surements of these electrodes and form an electrical circuit with subsequent simulation waveforms.
Impact of input parameters variation on fabrication of nanoporous alumina
Hriczo, Filip ; Macháčková, Marina (referee) ; Hrdý, Radim (advisor)
This thesis examines and tests acids and conditions, which make the production of nanoporous ceramic at the thin aluminium layer the most effective and provide the highest quality. This paper describes the production of nanoporous structures with pore size 15-400 nm, depending on the electrolyte. Creating a regular hexagonal structure by electrochemical oxidation is dependent on many parameters that affect the regularity of structure and parameters of the ceramics produced. They were investigated primarily by changes in temperature and input voltage. All results were examined by SEM analysis.
Self-organized nanostructured oxide layers
Šťastná, Eva ; Pouchlý, Václav (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
Series of anodization experiments was conducted on pure aluminium (99,95 Goodfellow) substrates with the aim to map the possibilities and evaluate available techniques. Oxalic acid electrolyte was used for anodization at different voltage levels ranging from 20 to 60V, while current was always measured continuously during the experiment. The influence of substrate surface treatment, time and grain size of the substrate was documented for as anodized oxide structures using FEG-SEM. Well aligned and evenly distributed pores of the diameters ranging 20- 35 nm were achieved. Extremely fine pores down to 10 nm were achieved using the step-down technique governed by current limitation. Further post-anodizing treatment was evaluated – pore widening by chemical and electrochemical etching, which resulted in pores 80nm wide. The feasibility of electrodeposition of metallic wires directly into the AAO structure without substrate removal was evaluated. DC, AC symmetric and non-symmetric voltage setups were used. The deposition experiments results varied strongly depending on the post anodization treatment. For combination of pore-widening after anodizing with step-down stage, the deposition of copper nanowires was achieved. For simple step-down procedure, creation of very fine copper particles was realized using non-symmetric AC deposition. Further experiments and feasibility of metals electrodeposition in the AAO pores without substrate removal is discussed.
Anodizing of Aluminium and Its Alloys
Remešová, Michaela ; Julišová, Martina (referee) ; Čelko, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the hard anodic oxidation of aluminum and its alloys. As an experimental materials were used various aluminum materials, produced by cold forming and casting. The work contains information about chemical composition of the base materials, photographs of their microstructure, the results of surface roughness before and after anodic oxidation, photo anodized layer, measurements hardness oxide layers. For study were used methods light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, surface profilometry and microhardness measurements.
Fabrication and Characterization of Templates for Fabrication of Nanowires
Lednický, Tomáš ; Čechal, Jan (referee) ; Škoda, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on fabrication of alumina templates by anodization of pure aluminium. The theoretical part discusses the growing process of anodized oxide layers and its dependency on the crucial parameters (solutions, anodization voltage, time). The theoretical part is particularly based on literature retrieval. The experimental part is aimed to the fabrication of alumina membranes: the apparatus design, aluminium foils preparation, aluminium anodization, membrane modifications for next applications (nanowires deposition) and membrane characterization.
