Representative Problems Faced by Beginning Teachers of Russian and Czech

The theoretical part focuses on the aspects of the teaching profession and teacher's competencies, followed by a description of beginning teachers of the Czech language and Russian as a second foreign language. This thesis also summarises the most common problems faced by these teachers. In the practical part, these problems are compared by a semi-structured interview with beginning teachers. In these days, beginning teachers of Czech and Russian are faced with problems related to the integration of arrived Ukrainian pupils in the context of the war in Ukraine. Most respondents point to the same gaps in the university preparation, namely the problematic form of internships, teaching of professional subjects, didactics, pedagogy and psychology. As for the introduction to the position, the most common form of support is the introducing teacher, who was assigned to most of the respondents, but cooperation was often formal or otherwise dysfunctional. Beginning teachers of Czech and Russian have the same issues with the textbook series, that they must use, and with the pupil evaluation. Further it maps the activities of the library till the 1950s and shortly the present times of the library. The last chapter is dedicated to Mrs. Věra Pazderková in the form of a short video.

The main focus of this bachelor thesis is English interjections and their Czech equivalents. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In its theoretical part, the thesis deals with the definition of interjections and their comparison with other parts of speech, informs about their use in written and spoken expression, outlines the history of interjections, how interjections are formed, and further, divides interjections according to their classification. The work also describes English and Czech interjections and their characteristics, including methods of their translation. This bachelor thesis focuses on the impact of the English language on today's Czech. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the impact of anglicisms on the creation of today's Czech language, its vocabulary and everyday usage, and automatization in Czech speech. The analysis consists of a quantitative method. It uses a questionnaire survey, which is composed of questions that help us to prove the impact of the English language on teenagers attending the 8th and 9th classes at primary school. They filled in the questionnaire's information about the meanings of anglicism and its usage in the Czech language. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is a literary survey and the second one is a practical part. The results are published in a graphical and tabular form. The information obtained from the questionnaire survey helped to confirm/refute the predetermined hypotheses.
Modal Particles in German and Czech. A Contrastive Analysis using the example of eben, etwa and bloß

This bachelor thesis deals with issue of modality and its expression in German and Czech. The theoretical part is describing modality in both languages. These chapters deal with describing and defining German and Czech particles. There are introduced mainly modal particles that are the most important for this topic. The end of the theoretical part dedicates to express modality, modal verbs, and modal words. The Empirical part of bachelor thesis is formed by contrastive analysis of three chosen modal particles - eben, etwa and bloß. The basis for analysis was the parallel corpus Intercorp, from which documentary proofs for the above particles in German and Czech were randomly generated. On examples are introduced Czech equivalents corresponding with analysed German particles. At the end the results of contrastive analysis are compared with the equivalents of German modal particles that offer selected Czech translation dictionaries.
French verb-noun constructions in the domain of health care and their comparison with Czech

This master's thesis deals with French verbonominal collocations and their Czech translations. It contains two practical tasks: the first task consists in creating a comparable French-Czech corpus of healthcare texts; subsequently, the corpus becomes the primary source for the second task, in which several verbonominal collocations found in the French module of the corpus are studied, their possible translations are looked up in the Czech module of the corpus, and a translatological analysis is made. Practical part is preceded by four theoretical chapters focused on: the definition of collocation, some aspects of the classification of verbonominal collocations, the theory of translation, and issues related to the creation of a corpus, especially a comparable corpus. A French-Czech vocabulary is attached to the thesis.

The diploma thesis builds on bachelor thesis entitled Issues of Sociolinguistics and it is divided into a theoretical and practical part. It focuses in more details on the concept of Czech language as a foreign language and its learning by speakers from abroad - adult non-native speakers. The theoretical part describes pivotal key concepts and terms related to sociolinguistics with mentioning its sub-discipline interactional sociolinguistics. The thesis also describes study options of Czech language in our country, the most frequent methods used during lessons and the explanation of language levels according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. A part of this section is a description of the most commonly used textbooks of Czech, analysis of their structure and main topics. The practical part is focused on students of Czech as a foreign language. They fill in a questionnaire and they are also part of an interview.

The diploma thesis deals with the origin and development of selected names of birds in Czech language. It studies the characteristics of the selected expressions, it compares their state in Old and New version of Czech language, including an explanation of the origin of the names on the basis of the interpretation using etymological dictionaries of the Czech language. Creation and Use of Didactic Games in Czech Language Lessons for the 3rd Grade of Elementary School

The diploma thesis focuses on the creation and use of didactic games in the teaching of Czech language for the 3rd year of primary school. The main aim was to find out what attitudes 3rd grade primary school teachers have towards didactic games in Czech language classes through a selected set of didactic games. Another aim was to find out how 3rd grade primary school students perceive the use of didactic games in Czech language classes. Furthermore, I also focused on resources from which teachers can draw inspiration for their teaching. The specific task was to create a set of didactic games, which is referred to in the main aim of the thesis. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters in which I discuss play, didactic play and the creation and use of didactic play. In the practical part, I created a set of didactic games from which the research unfolded. For the research investigation, I chose qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews with teachers and a questionnaire with 3rd grade primary school pupils as data collection methods. The analyzed data allowed me to answer the predetermined research questions and meet the objectives of the thesis.
