Predikce rizika rozvoje akutního koronárního syndromu na základě neinvazivních vyšetření ABSTRACT The aim of presented diploma thesis coming out of the project held by II. interní klinika Všeobecná fakutní nemocnice v Praze is to determinate the risk assessment for development of acute coronary syndrome based on non-invasive examinations - intracoronary ultrasound, retinal arteries examination, biochemical markers of atherosclerosis and selected genes polymorphism. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical and it consists of three chapters, the second part is analytical and it contains the research. The theoretical part gives concise information about the acute coronary syndrome, essential part focuses on atherosclerosis as a pathophysiologic base of this syndrome, risk factors, and stratification of cardiovascular risk which proved to be insufficient are as well mentioned. Next part describes a non-invasive coronary arteries examinations focusing on presented research. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on invasive coronary arteries examinations. The research part describes design and purpose of the project - the identification the high risk for development of acute coronary syndrome patients irrespective of the risk coming out standard evaluation models, and...
Deviations prediction in timetables based on AVL data
Jiráček, Zbyněk ; Martínek, Vladislav (advisor) ; Žemlička, Michal (referee)
Relevant path planning using public transport is limited by reliability of the transportation network. In some cases it turns out that we can plan paths with respect to expected delays and hereby improve the reliability of the resulting path. This study focuses on prediction of the delays in public transport systems using data from vehicle tracking systems -- known as the AVL data. These data are typically collected by the transit operators. Various algorithms are compared using real data from Prague trams tracking system. The study also includes a discussion about a possible utilization of the information gained from the used methods in passenger information systems. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Time series prediction
Boková, Kateřina ; Pilát, Martin (advisor) ; Koubková, Alena (referee)
In this present work, we provide an overview of methods for time series modelling and prediction. We describe methods based on decomposition as well as methods based on the Box-Jenkins methodology. Moreover, we also discuss methods based on the ideas from computational intelligence -mainly neural networks. Thedescription of the methods is focused on the algorithmic aspects -we derive the ways in which the parameters of the models are set. The work also contains a software, which allows the user to apply the described methods to given time series and compare them among each other.
The comparative study of predication equations for value calculation 1-RM at the squat and the dead lift.
Radovnický, Jiří ; Fedák, Josef (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Titel: The comparative study of predication equations for value calculation 1-RM at the squat and the dead lift. Aim: To evaluate the most exact equation for the calculation 1-RM on the basis of comparation of extracted data with predication equations at the squat and the dead lift. Research complex: The research complex is created by the soldiers of Army of Czech Republic. They are the men at the age from 20 to 40 with health classification A. Used methods: The comparative method with the using of experimental testing. Results: By the mutual comparation of data we have found out, that the most exact predication equation for the calculation 1-RM in a squat or in a dead lift is from the authors O'Conner et al. Squat was predicted with correlation coefficient r = 0.975 and deadlift with a value of r = 0.951. Keywords: sqaut, dead lift, 1-RM, prediction equation, correlation coefficient.

Prediction of graft function development and rejection of transplanted kidney
Wohlfahrtová, Mariana ; Viklický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zadražil, Josef (referee) ; Reischig, Tomáš (referee)
Improving the short-term results of kidney transplantation did not result in improving the long-term function and survival of kidney allograft. Organ shortage and increasing number of marginal donors remains the key problem in transplant today. The quality of donor organ is critical for graft function development and survival. The aim is to improve understanding to ischemia/reperfusion injury and its consequences, predict delayed graft function and rejection, improve organ allocation strategy and identify patients suitable for safe drug minimization or complete withdrawal of immunosuppressive therapy. Analysis of donor kidneys identified poor tubular cell quality and low survival factor, Netrin-1 expression levels, to be associated with delayed graft function. We confirmed that reperfusion phase of ischemia/reperfusion injury leads to minimal morphological but significant molecular abnormalities. Dissociation observed in histology and molecular pathology finding calls for an integrated approach in donor quality organ evaluation and allocation for transplantation. Significant heterogeneity within donors with expanded criteria was shown and subgroup of organs at low risk of delayed graft function was identified. We suggested donor biopsies to be performed as a routine praxis in all kidneys...
The Pre-listening Stage in L2 Listening Instruction to A2 - B1 Adult Learners.
Ždímalová, Hana ; Mothejzíková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Betáková, Lucie (referee) ; Mánek, Bohuslav (referee)
The Pre-listening Stage in L2 Listening Instruction to A2 - B1 Adult Learners By Hana Ždímalová This dissertation deals with listening instruction to adult EFL learners in the Czech Republic and the phenomenon of pre-listening, which is currently under-researched. It examines adult EFL students' perspectives and perceptions of listening instruction and of the inclusion of different pre-listening techniques, particularly at CEFR A2-B1 proficiency levels. The theoretical part of the study focuses on current developments in listening research and the historical context of the development of listening instruction in classical FLT methodology. The pre-listening stage has been integral to L2 listening instruction since the beginning of Communicative Language Teaching. However, some controversial issues have recently been raised. For example, teachers are sometimes suspected of spending too much time on the pre- listening stage (Field 2002; 2008) and the overall usefulness of previewed comprehension questions in testing listening has been challenged (Sherman 1997). Moreover, adult students' listening needs and their perceptions of listening instruction have not yet been thoroughly researched (Graham 2006; Graham and Macaro 2008). This study argues that we should ask the students about their perceptions...
Betrayal anticipation and experience in interpersonal relationships

"It's terrible. You can't trust anyone anymore." - Dawn Butler In this dissertation I concern myself with a phenomenon of betrayal within field of psychology. Despite the fact that examples of violations or betrayals of trust are manifold, relatively little theory exists regarding dynamics of trust, context-specific perception of betrayal or ability to predict violation of trust be- fore it actually happens. Overall there is significant gap in our knowledge about betrayal, despite its obvious prevalence in human behaviour. There are several approaches to betrayal ranging from evolutionary psy- chology to organizational psychology. Nevertheless this area lacks some unified approach and grasp of the problem. In my work I try to explore and build upon all these theories to answer following questions: (1) Is betrayal context-specific? Does certain context trigger perception of certain behaviour to be viewed as betrayal? (2) What role does intentionality play in perception of betrayal? In what contexts is intention even relevant? (3) Are we able to predict betrayal? Are there some emotional or communicational clues of upcoming betrayal? In the research part of this thesis I further examine betrayal in four differ- ent ways. I ask about colour-association to betrayal to examine their prevailing emotion...
Plant traits determining plant-herbivore interactions
Medová, Tereza ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Skuhrovec, Jiří (referee)
Plants are constantly endangered by herbivores. Plants have adapted and created a wide arsenal of defences during approximately 410 million years of coexistence. Their role consists of fading the herbivores off or reduce suffered damage. This bachelor's thesis focuses on mechanisms that were proven to serve as plant defences. It is specifically about interactions between invertebrate herbivores and plants of terrestrial ecosystems. Prediction of herbivory by some traits is mentioned as well. Information about characteristics of plants which affects preferences of herbivores is interesting due to its possibility of aplication in agriculture or biological control of invasive species.
