(87)	Beginning of education in Luxembourg SVOBODA, Vlastimil The thesis deals with the beginning of the first schools on the territory of Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and France after the desintegration of the Roman Empire. It describes different types of schools and the education that they were bringing. It focuses also on the historical conditions and describes the main personalities of the period and their influence on the education. It pays a special attention to the extinction of ancient schools after the invasion of barbarian tribes and to the Carolingian Renaissance and its impact on the education. Among monastic schools it points out especially the school in the Echternach abbey, whose high level makes it one of the most important schools of that period in Europe. The thesis describes in detail the content of the education, teaching aids and methods used in this school. The theoretical part contains the needed resources for the correct design of a business plan, including both its shape and content. Those principles are applied to the project in the practical part.
